Visit Grupo Capoeira Brasil

It's been a while since this site has seen an update, so I thought it was about time.  Let me know what you think.
The National Capoeira Society was created with the intention of teaching and promoting Capoeira.  In the future we will try to offer Capoeira to different Universities some of those will include Rice University, St. Thomas University, and Houston Baptist University.
Mestre Cafuringa is the first Mestre in Texas.  Mestre Cafuringa, Born and raised in Brazil, began playing Capoeira at the age of six.  Due to his natural talent for the art, he was teaching by the time that he was fifteen.  After just four years of teaching he was invited by San Francisco State University to teach workshops. At that time he also traveled to New York, performing with
Dance Brazil.  Since then, he has been

teaching all over the United States, as well as Brazil.
Mestre Cafuringa was originally with Abada Capoeira but has moved on to create his own school "Grupo Cafu Capoeira Association."
I had a chance to speak with Cafuringa on a brief encounter, and I came away with a positive impression of an individual

who is passionate about his art.  We talked in detail about Capoeira and his dedication to keeping Capoeira true to it's Afro-Brazilian Roots.  I'm happy to say that I will be training with his group in the weeks to come.  If you need more information on the class please call: 713-462-4657 or email CAFU247@yahoo.com.

If you've tried looking for Capoeira products on the internet but come away empty handed stop searching.  The National Capoeira Society will be offering Capoeira Products at unbeatable prices.

We are now selling gourds ($5), and Bamboo staffs ($10). You can pick up the rest of the materials to make the berimbau at a hardware store. I will include the information to make the berimbau (very easy).
