Pictured above, is an overview of Gatun Locks and Gatun Lake. The townsite is located on the left side of the locks itself, the roads on the right take you to Gatun Dam/Spillway and on to Pina Beach, heading to the top of the page. Heading down towards the bottom, the road takes you to Ft. Sherman, Devils Beach... and ends at the old Spanish Ft. San Lorenzo.

Here is a view of Gatun Dam and Spillway, from the lake, pictured in the back is Chagres River; which winds out to the Atlantic Ocean.

This is the Aids to Navigation building and piers, where the Tugboats tie up. As children, we swam under the pier. . . playing tag.

Gatun Brats! This is a picture of Jeff Slaughter, me, and Terry Slaughter . . . we grew up together in the section of Gatun, known as "New Town" . . . this picture was taken at the Panama Canal Society's 1998 Reunion, which was held this past 4th of July weekend in Orlando, Fl. We hadn't seen each other in over 30 years!
