An overview of Cristobal Harbor, with the piers showing at the bottom left. Ships in the bay waiting to transit, or dock at the piers.
Taken in 1959, MTD Cristobal . . .a shot of my dad, who went from the Police Force, to working for MTD.
All that is left of the old Strangers Club in Colon . . . taken from the anchorage, Feb. 1999.
A view of Porto Bello . . . once an important port of call for Spanish ships.
The DDT Truck . . . A nightly ritual, and a 'good excuse' for blaming our (CZBrats) "CRS Syndrome" on these days! *grin*
If you ever traveled on one of the Panama RR Liners, and put in at Haiti . . . this is/was a familiar site!
Raspadero anyone? painting by Robert Sprague
Made this shot in PhotoShop, it's an Atlantic side island sunset, and the parrot is a Panama YellowHead Amazon - I have one myself, she is 3 years old now and keeps me amused! I have had her since she was 3 mos. old. Her parents were a breeder pair that were brought out of Panama in the very early 80s.Her name is Panama.
