Don Kerry Cosper, 61, of San Angelo passed from this life to eternal life peacefully at his home on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, surrounded by his children. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Hambright officiating.
Don was born in San Angelo on Aug. 31, 1950, to Harvey H. and Mary Gene Cosper. Don served in the United States National Guard and worked in the petroleum industry for many years.
He was a loving and caring son and father who devoted most of his time to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. His favorite pastimes were driving around town in the cars he loved and listening to music. Don loved joking around with people and loved to make them laugh. He had a true love for animals, especially his bulldogs and his shih tzu "Sweetie." He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Clint Cosper and his wife, Jaqcui, of Fort Stockton, Texas, Christina Cosper and her fiance, Parley Zitting, of San Angelo and Whit Cosper and his wife, Becca, of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Christian, Keldon, Chloe, Morgan and Ava; his brother, Ron Cosper and his wife, Vanita, of Evergreen, Colo.; and two nieces, Amy Richtermeyer and husband Mark of Fort Collins, Colo., and Emily Cosper and her husband, Bryan Huddleston, of New Orleans, La.
