Hector Trevino Castro
Hector Trevino Castro, 61, joined our Heavenly Father on August 16, 2010. Hector was born Aug. 30, 1948, in Sonora, Texas, to Abel Sr. and Lelia Castro.
He was married to Linda Castro for 36 years and had 3 wonderful boys. He worked at GTE for many years and later retired from Verizon in May 2008.
There were three things in life he loved dearly; his family, his two grandsons and golf.
Hector was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Pan-American Golf Association for many years.
Hector was preceded in death by his father, Abel Sr.; and one son, Hector Orlando Castro. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children Gabriel Castro and wife Jana and Kevin Castro; two grandsons, Jacob and Luke Castro; his mother, Lelia Castro; two brothers, Abel Castro and wife Leticia and Danny Castro and wife Michelle; their children Tiffani and Sydni Castro; his favorite sister Alma Boisse and husband Rudy; their children Renee and John Paul Boisse; his brothers-in-law, Raymond Torrez and Alfred Torrez and wife Sally; sister-in-law Olga Shackelford and husband Jim. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Josephs Catholic Church with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Boisse, John Paul Boisse, Vince Meza, Jon Torrez, Pete Guebara and Bobby Rodriguez.Honorary pallbearers are the Knights of Columbus from Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
