Dale Everett Byars, a prominent businessman, died at home in Colleyville, TX July 1, 2004. Memorial service: 3 PM Friday, July 23 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 3821 University Blvd, Dallas, TX, with the Rev. Robert H. Thompson officiating. Inurnment: at the church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lindsay Byars and Monique Byars Education Fund, 5972 Willow Lane, Dallas, TX 75230. Mr. Byars was born August 7, 1950 in San Angelo, TX to the late Perry J.C. Byars, Jr., M.D. and the late Margaret Elsie Dobbins Byars. He was President of Caravan International, Inc. and EthnoGraphics. He was active in numerous professional and civic organizations. Survivors: His wife, Cynthia Cox Byars; daughters Lindsay Michelle Elise Byars and Monique Danielle Evette Byars, Colleyville; brother and sister-in-law, Alan E. Byars and Barbara Master Byars, Midland; sister and brother-in-law, Martha Byars Wetherholt and C. Vic Wetherholt, Canton; cousins, Kenneth E Smith and Pearl Burleson Smith, Dana Point, CA; mother-in-law Merilyn Cox, Dallas; and other relatives and numerous friends.
