I made a note in your mailing list and this is in case you did not get it.
Kaye Benton (Kay) died October 15, 2006 in St Joseph's hospital in Houston Texas of lung cancer.
She really was fascinated by the school's news though she turned down an opportunity to come out.
Kaye suffered from bipolar disease and at times it was serious.
But she had a great sense of humor and I really miss her.
She printed out your info from your page and one of her last requests was to find her yearbook which I could not find.
I have the other three.
it may be the two packs a day that did her in. Anyone who wants more details I will be happy to supply at jimklett@SBCGlobal.net
She was a beautiful girl and was actually carded at 50 years in a club. Her mother died last year not knowing her daughter had preceded her.
Thanks for giving me this opportunity to tell you she is gone.
If anyone remembers her and wants to write I'd appreciate it.
Incidently, a book was written by a woman with cancer who finally died of it.
In it she tells how cruel the doctors were to her.
I was sitting with Kay in the doctor's office shortly after her diagnosis and Kay asked for a heart operation to let her breathe better.
The doctor turned to her and said: "I'm not going to opeate on you, you're going to die." Just like that. Bang!
