Russell L. Baumann went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 14, 2009.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 18, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ben G. Hubert officiating. Burial will follow in Miles Cemetery. Pallbearers will be San Angelo Fire Department Honor Guard members.
Russell was born Oct. 17, 1949. He graduated from Central High School in 1968 and worked as an electrician until he became a master electrician in 1978. He joined the San Angelo Fire Department in 1981 and retired as a Lieutenant in 2001.
Russell enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing. He was a member of the noon game at Riverside Hills Golf Club and the Concho Bass Club.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Roxie and Herman Baumann. He is survived by his son, Dean Baumann and wife Jennifer of Fort Worth, Texas.; granddaughter Kayla Baumann; one brother, Barney Baumann and wife Cynthia; nephew Rusty Baumann; and one aunt, Vicky Pierce and husband Dewey, as well as extended family and many close friends. He will be missed by all.
