Jarrad Paul Born and raised in the hardest, roughest Jewish suburban neighborhood in Miami, where Jarrad Paul says, “You best be watching your back…all the time,” the actor had dreams of becoming an action star in martial-arts films. Unfortunately, Paul maintains his unathletic awkwardness and lack of what’s known as “anything approaching an ability to defend himself,” caused him to be pigeon-holed into the less prestigious sexy leading man category, he says. Sometimes referred to as “the actor’s actor,” Paul is now starring as a young surveillance techno-wizzard on “UC: Undercover.” Although most techno-wizards might be considered “geeky,” Paul says he brings a “new manly twist to the role.” He landed his first professional acting part in high school when, at 16, he was cast in the short-lived NBC series “Home Fries.” When he was 18, Paul permanently relocated to Los Angeles where he guest-starred on “Cybill,” “Seinfeld” (as Kramer’s intern) and “Action.” As a writer, Paul recently completed a pilot for Comedy Central, and just directed a short film entitled, “Fermina Medina” with his partner, Curran Sympson. Paul’s feature-film credits include “40 Days and 40 Nights” and “Liar, Liar.” Paul, who enjoys hopscotch and an occasional round of blackjack, lives in Los Angeles. His birthday is June 20.
