Teal'c must undergo an ancient ritual that takes him to the edge of death to rid his mind os Apophis' lies. The plan is that his memories of his true beliefs should return him to SG-1 but no jaffa has ever survived this rite.

An alein turns into human form so it can try to get it on with Sam. The others are not sure they beleive her when she tells them. Meanwhile they try to work out how to use the device found on the aleins plannet.
5.04- The Fifth Man
SG-1 team returned from P7S-441 8 hours ahead of schedule. They claimed that O'Neill was cut off from the Stargate when he went to assist "Lt. Tyler". No one in the SGC has ever heard of 'Tyler' and they think SG-1 has gone a little crazy.
5.05- Red Sky
Arriving on K'Tau, the team had turbulence in the wormhole. After greetings from the people of the plannet (followers of the asgard myth), they find they have somehow damaged the sun.The sun begins to turn red and if they don't leave they will all will die. The people of the plannet do not wish to leave though.
5.06- Rite of Passage
When Cassie (Dr. Frasier's adopted daughter intoduced in season 1- 'singularity') starts getting ill with a retro-virus. No one knows how to help Cassie except an evil goa'uld called Neferi who was experimenting on the children of Cassie's home plannet.

5.07- Beast of Burden
The Unas, aborigine Chaka( introduced in "The First Ones") is taken from his home by goa'uld, SG-1 tries to help him as he and Daniel became friends in "the first ones".
5.08- The Tomb
SG-1 team up with a Russian Stargate squad to track lost soldiers in an alien temple. Daniel searches for the "Eye of Tiamat" , an artifact rumored to be in the tomb of Marduk that would be worth a great deal to the SGC.
5.09- Between Two Fires
When the Tolan, Omach, dies Sg-1 attend his memorial and suddenly the Tolan Curia seem more open to sharing technology and Nareem is suspicious of this and warns SG-1. They must find out how Omach died and why the Tollan are being so nice.

When Carter is kidnapped from a parking lot, here on Earth Jack and SG-1 have to help. To this they have to get the help of an old 'friend'.
5.12- Worm-Hole X-Treme!
Episode 100. when an unidentified ship is tracked enroute to earth, the team believes they are coming to pick up the alien from the epidode "point of no return". He has created a sci-fi TV show which is similar to the Stargate programme, so Jack is assigned to be the show's military advisor.
5.13- Proving Ground
The SGC starts a tough training programme to prepare young cadets for trips through the Stargate.
