Tom Welling was born on April 26, 1977 in upstate New York. Welling graduated from Okemos High School in Okemos, Michigan in 1995. Soon after, he did some modeling for the Louisa Modeling agency. Welling recently moved to L.A. to pursue an acting career, where he got his first big break, playing "Rob the karate instructor" in several episodes of CBS's Judging Amy during the 2000-2001 season. Welling beat out thousands of hopefuls (including Jensen Ackles, who stars as Jason Teague in season four) in a nationwide search for a fresh face to play the young Superman. Welling is making his series debut in Smallville as the boy of steel Cark Kent.

Graduated in 1995 from Okemos High School in Okemos, Michigan.

Was a former model.

Like Christopher Reeve, was not a big Superman fan prior to being cast as Clark Kent, and in fact continues not to read Superman comics.

Kristin Kreuk was born on December 30, 1982 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Kreuk started acting in high school, where in her senior year of high school, a casting director was looking for a new talent for the Canadian television series "Edgemont." Kreuk was selected for the role of Laurel in the series and has continued her role as Laurel for the entire series of the show while also starring as Lana Lang on "Smallville."

Is half-Chinese, half-Dutch. Father, Peter, is Dutch; Mother, Deanna Che, is Chinese; both are landscape architects.

Michael Rosenbaum was born on July 11, 1972 in Oceanside, Long Island, New York, and was raised in Indiana. He first got the acting bug while doing high school's plays. After graduation Rosenbaum attended Western Kentucky University, where he received his bachelor's degree. Rosenbaum first got widespread notice as one of the "Amsterdam Kids" on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Now he is starring as Lex Luthor on Smallville, which he shaves his head for the role. Rosenbaum has also appeared in several movies and has provided his voice to the series "The Flash," a Justice League animated series.

He originally had his sights set on becoming a sports announcer, but his new found interest in acting carried him to gain a BA in theater and communications at Western Kentucky University.

Avid fan of New York Rangers. Plays in amateur hockey league.

Born in Salisbury, Md, Glover worked off-Broadway for 10 years before Jane Fonda's notorious slap in Julia caused audiences to sit up and take notice of this talented newcomer. Deciding to take the next step in Hollywood, Glover packed his things and moved to Los Angeles, where he landed the role of 'Victor DiMato' in the television movie "Early Frost" playing a brave AIDS patient. His performance earned him his first Emmy nomination. Glover received another Emmy nod for his role in "Nutcracker: Money, Madness & Murder" and a Cable Ace nomination for his work in "Traveling Man." Always returning to his first love, the stage, Glover received a Tony award and an Obie award for Best Actor in "Love! Valour! Compassion!" He was also awarded the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actor for his work in "The Traveler." Glover now splits his time between Maryland, Los Angeles and Vancouver. Striving to increase the awareness for the disease as well as raise much-needed funds for a cure, John dedicates his time to the Alzheimer's Association. He also funds a scholarship for actors at his alma mater, Towson University, and returns to teach classes in his free time.

Annette O'Toole was born in 1954 in Houston, Texas, and began acting at a very young age, which include doing guest appearances in shows like "My Three Sons," "The Partridge Family," and "The Virginian." Her first major movie role was in "48 Hours," where she plays the girlfriend of Nick Nolte's character. Roles in the "Cat People" and "Superman III" came soon after. Not only did O'Toole stars in movies but also television, such as "Nash Bridges" and "The Huntress." O'Toole is no stranger to Superman fans. In 1983 she played the role of 'Lana Lang' in Superman III. A big Superman fan, O'Toole came into the part of Martha to replace Cynthia Ettinger, who played her in the Smallville pilot.

John Schneider was born in 1954 in Snailville, Georgia. Or so the legend goes, when Schneider auditioned for the role of 'Bo Duke' on the popular TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard." The producers were looking for a 24-year-old from the South. At the time, Schneider (born in 1960) was only 18 years old and hailed from Mt. Kisco, New York. Schneider's ruse worked, and he got the role of the blond Duke cousin, a role that made him famous. Soon after starring in "The Dukes of Hazzard," Schneider launched a very successful country music career. To this day, Schneider still sings in concerts, such as at the Memorial Day Concert at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Schneider is also the co-founder of the Children's Miracle Network which holds telethons every year to help children's hospitals. He's also a strong supporter of family-oriented programming.

Children: Leah, Chasen and Karis.

Jensen Ross Ackles was born on March 1 1978, in Dallas, Texas. Ackles was aspire to be an actor due to that fact his father was once one himself. Ackles got his start at the young age of four, which he appeared in print advertisment and commercials for Nabisco, Wal-Mart and Radio Shack. Even though Ackles started in the entertainment industry at such a small age, by the time he was 16, Ackles decided to finish high school before pursuing his career. Jones is playing the lead role in a film called "Zigzag," playing an autistic young man. He has also done a film called "Snipes" which has been shown at the Toronto Film Festival but has not yet had a wide release. Eric Johnson was born on August 7, 1979 in Edmonton,Alberta, Canada. Like Kristin Kreuk he is also Canadian. Johnson's most high-profile role to American audiences (before "Smallville") was playing 'teen Tristan' in the Brad Pitt-starring film "Legends of the Fall." Up in Canada, Johnson played the lead in an award-winning film titled "Scorn," which he was nominated for a Best Male Lead Actor Gemini (the Canadian Emmy). Soon after that, acclaimed TV director David Nutter remembered Johnson from his "Roswell" auditions (where he ultimately did not get a role) and, together with the producers of the show, cast Johnson as 'Whitney Fordman.'
