Now & Then - Top 5 List
"5 Reasons No One Should Be Shocked By Stavros's Return"
Many have accused Helena Cassadine of having ice water coursing through her veins, but who new that it was actually her older child who suffered from that condition? Though news that Helena's favorite son has been in deep freeze the past two decades may stun Port Charles newcomers, those who have been around for a while no doubt realize that this is just the latest in a series of cool tricks pulled by Mommie Dearest and her clan. Remember these other chilling moments from the family's history.
1. The Perfect Storm: Until the meddlesome Luke & Laura intervened, a weather machine devised by Helena's husband, Mikkos, foisted upon Port Charles the rarest of phenomena - A Summer Blizzard.
2. The Curse: Rather than give the Spencer's a toaster on their wedding day. Helena (then played by Elizabeth Taylor) put a curse on the couple - and years later, relocated to Port Charles permanently to insure that their suffering hadn't waned.
3. The Living Dead: Thanks to the Cassadine Family, their are more zombies walking the streets than you'll find in the house on haunted hill. Among the dead to come back to life: Laura, Lesley, Lucky, Stefan & Katherine.
4. The Mind Game: In a way, the Spencer's should be grateful to Helena for kidnapping but not killing Lucky. In another way, of course they should rightfully want to wring her neck, for she brainwashed their firstborn, turning him into a violent brooder.
5. The Deep Freeze: It warms the heart to see how far Helena will go for son Stavros. But after keeping Stefan's big brother in a cryochamber for 20 years, she'd better hope he didn't develop freezer burn.
