I finally got my life back
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: Serenity by Godsmack
What a sucky exhausting year I had. Before I get into it, if you don't wanna hear about my sad sorry life and just wanna know what I'm doing with the website, scroll down to the bottom of this message. Ok on with my rant. You see last summer was supposed to be my last hurrah before I started back to school. But then in August my mom met this guy and thought it was love at first sight. He fed her a line about how his ex wife pointed a gun at him and he had to leave in the middle of the night blah, blah blah. Well, 2 weeks later my mom footed the bill for a rental truck to go to Oklahoma to get his pick up truck and a different engine he had to put in it. They got back and informed me he was going to move in --- oh joy... So he did. First we had to rebuild his engine (and somehow yours truly got roped into helping...) Then $5,000.00 later and several weeks of working until 4am, it was finally fixed. Well, now the house was too small, so he and mom decided they would move downstairs, but first it need to be cleaned out and fixed up.....guess who got stuck with most of the work? Yep. Me. So thousands of more dollars later and well past Christmas and a mortgage, he finally went to find work. At labor ready?!?! Yeah that worked out well...Then he decided he wanted to be a security guard (insert eye roll here)so now we had to spend more money for a uniform, badge (oh please) and a utility belt...So he was making $8 an hour, working 3-4 hour shifts...yeah the money was pouring in then...The whole time was, don't worry I'll pay you back (sure he will). Then it was decided he would be a trucker (oh yeah, right, he couldn't find his way out of a paper bag that had 4 holes in it!). So trucking school, a zillion tests and licenses and a kitchen set for the truck and a special $60 clipboard with case and a new $70 atlas and he was on his way. Training went well, he actually made some money to buy groceries with. Of course once he got on his own, he wasn't making crap...$230 a week. So twice he left us with the $30, claiming he kept losing money or he "just can't live on $100 a week" (I guess not if you only eat at the expensive truck stops). My mom kept telling him to leave the money alone. So one day, after the fourth of July, we were on our way to the bank to get the $130 he had left in the account so that we could buy groceries when he called. He was crying and upset and said he had closed the account and then he hung up. Mom called back and a WOMAN answered. My mom asked who she was and she said she was his WIFE. He wasn't even divorced. Apparantly the chicken-shit-lily-livered weasel went back to his wife because he "can't handle pressure". To this day he hasn't called once. Oh I forgot to mention, he stole a ton of tools, many of which had belonged to my grandpa....If I ever see him again...grrrrrrrr....he'll get to meet my inner Xena, I can promise you that. There is so much more I could say, but I think I may be boring everyone.
Anyway...I have lots to add to my website and am slowly working on it. I should have some stuff up before Monday. I'll keep you posted. If you have read this far, thanks for letting me vent.

Name: Steve

Sounds like you're really mad at this guy..and you have every reason to be. Sometimes we adults become so desperate for companionship or a relationship (or sometimes, yes, it's outright sex) that we lose perspective. Keep in mind that not all truckers nor all men are like this loser. Keep your chin up, kid..and yes, here's the hug()() (even TWO hugs!). Feel free to write anytime.
