A Little About David C.
My name is David C. Dixon. I am a
graduate of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and will be
transferring to LMU @ SKCTC where I am majoring in Elem/ Middle School
Education. I hope to teach at Cumberland Elementary/ Middle School. I thank God
for the wonderful life He has given me.
I am involved in everything ranging from church activities to small town
politics. One those activities which is keeping the citizens of the Tri-City
Area up-to-date with current events, weather, and so on, on Southeast TV 37. I
spend most of my free time giving back to the Cumberland Elem., Middle, and High
Schools because they gave so much to me. I really enjoy the time I spend with
the Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers. I am also employed by Harlan County
Board of Education and Victory Road Christian Academy as a substitute teacher.
So far, I haven't had any problems with my subbing assignments. I also really
enjoy the time I get to spend with the CHS Girls' Varsity Basketball Team as
scorekeeper. I hope to be more involved with the CMS cheerleaders this year,
because my true passion lies with cheerleading not basketball. Sorry! I am also
taking on the role of Volleyball Scorekeeper this year. I have grown to love it
and can't wait for this exciting year coming up. I also enjoy most of all the
time I get to spend with the Lord. I am now attending Cumberland Pentecostal
Church. The people are great and the worship is just AWESOME. The Spirit of the
Lord is moving in the Tri-City Area. Just recently I am beginning to move into
roles at CPC. I have started running the projection system and have taken over
the Children's Ministry on Wednesday nights. I am so excited about the
Children's Ministry. Kidz Quake has been going good so far. I hope my crowd
picks up. The children who are coming are receiving a blessing. I also believe
the Lord will also open other opportunities for me at CPC. I absolutely love
CPC, its the best move I have ever made and know that Lord wanted me to make it.
