* - Called "Rae-Rae" by Melissa Warburton, her old sorority sister.

Rachel spent most of her life being brought up as a spoiled rich girl. But when she ran out on her wedding to Barry Farber ("TOW Monica Gets A New Roomate"), she had to rebuild her life--as a normal, working woman.

With the help of her friends, especially Monica, who gave her a home for her first six years of living on her own, Rachel began to drop her somewhat self-absorbed persona and began to venture out into the world. She dated Ross for a year before the relationship fell apart. ("TOW The Prom Video" - "TO The Morning After") At the same time, a lucky break got her into her dream job: a job at Bloomingdales ("TOW Chandler Can't Remember Which Sister")

Rachel continued to grow and change, and she continued to become more and more successful. She was promoted to Assistant Buyer at Bloomingdale's (but the promotion fell through when her boss died suddenly) ("TOW They're Going to Party!"). She ended up in the personal shopping department ("TOW Rachel's Crush"), which not only produced a romance for her but for her ex-boyfriend Ross, who began dating Rachel's boss's niece Emily, whom he ended up marrying. Just before the wedding, Rachel discovered that she was still in love with Ross and rushed to the wedding to tell Ross how she felt. Upon seeing his happiness with Emily, though, she nobly stood aside and simply wished Ross good luck in his marriage ("TOW Ross's Wedding"), which, despite her well-wishes, failed shortly after ("TOW the Yeti").

Rachel dated a few different guys after that, never persuing Ross, feeling it was too soon after his divorce. In the meantime, she focused her attention on acquiring and settling into her new job at Ralph Lauren ("TOW Rachel's Inadvertant Kiss"), rather than going after Ross. However, after getting a bit too drunk in Las Vegas, she and Ross tied the knot. Upon returning home, Rachel demanded an annulment, which Ross reluctantly agreed to. However, Rachel soon found out that Ross had lied about getting the annulment, and the couple was forced to get a divorce.

Soon after that, Rachel dealt with moving out the apartment that had been her home for nearly six years ("TO on the Last Night") and moving in with Phoebe ("TOW Phoebe Runs"). This didn't last too long, though, because Rachel inadvertantly set fire to Phoebe's apartment by leaving a hot straightening iron too close to a newly refilled box of tissues. After living first with Chandler and Monica, Rachel soon settled in at Joey's ("TOW Ross Dates A Student"). When Phoebe's apartment is remodeled after the fire, Rachel decides to continue living with Joey rather than moving back in with Phoebe ("TOW the Holiday Armadillo").

Just before Monica and Chandler's wedding, Rachel discovers she's preganant...

The rest coming soon!
