Season 3:

Episode 01:  Like A Virgin
Jen: Don't become another cookie cutter, blonde, size 4, rah-rah-sis-bam-boom, mindless, soulless, spineless wench. Screw these auditions. Screw cheerleading. And screw Belinda McGovern.

Joey: So you love me, you just don't want me.

Joey: What are you doing here?
Pacey: It's an interesting phenomenon. I got in Dawson's rowboat and it magically drifted to your dock.
Joey: Magically drift any closer and I'll kill you.
Pacey: I almost believe that.
Joey: He told you didn't he? Didn't he?
Pacey: What do you think?
Joey: I think I hate you both.
Pacey: You're gonna hate what I'm gonna say even more.
He did the best thing, Joey. You two need to be apart now.
Joey: How would you know what I need?
Pacey: You're probably right. I'm sure I don't have any idea what you're going through. How hard it is to let someone go. How painful it must be to know that as right as you two are for each other, it doesn't mean you're right for each other
right now. I wouldn't know a thing about that. About how it makes you want to scream, or hit someone...or cry.
Joey: Of all people to see me like this, it had to be you.
Pacey: It's a new year, Joey. You never know, we could even end up friends.
Joey: Pacey, I'm upset enough as it is.

Episode 02:  Homecoming
Pacey: I can never go back to loving you the way I did knowing that my love wasn't strong enough the first time around.

Joey: You think because you were together, what she did to you hurts more? It doesn't. There's no difference, Pacey. She's sixteen. And so are you. We talk like we know what's going on, but we don't. We don't know anything. We're really young and we're gonna screw-up a lot. We're gonna keep changing our minds and even sometimes our hearts. And through all that, the only real thing we can offer each other
is forgiveness. I couldn't do that. Or at least I did it too late. Don't make my mistake. Don't let yourself be so angry you stop loving. Because one day you'll wake up from the anger, and the person you love will be gone.

Episode 03:  None of the Above
Dawson: Alright, you know what? Take 'Felicity' for example.
I mean, you've seen one hour of whiny over-analytical teen angst, you've seen them all. Don't get me wrong, she's pretty, but what kind of heroine is she? She's indecisive. She's basically paralyzed by some romantic notion of the way things are suppose to be. If you ask me, she's kinda chatty.

Dawson: Question, what will look better on my high school transcripts? A) cheating, B) possession of stolen material, C) breaking and entering, or D) all of the above?

Jen: Gee, not to sound like the only typical high school
student here, but apparently as the only typical high school student, what's the harm in peeking?

Pacey: You, Dawson Leery, are a self-righteous, son of a bitch, who cares more about his rose colored, defunct, 1950's belief system, than the people who fail to live up to it

Andie: Don't worry, Pacey, this isn't going to be one of those horribly awkward 'hope boy didn't mean all those hurtful things he said during the break-up' moment.
Pacey: Well, that's a relief because I sure didn't want to play the 'guy feeling guilty about break-up, even though it was
girl who had an affair with the mental patient' scene.

Pacey: It's just, you know, when does a person start to believe the general consensus about themselves
Joey: When it's right.

Episode 05: Indian Summer
Jen: Jack, I've had lovers, I've had boyfriends, but what I've never had is a boy who is first and last a friend. Who wasn't secretly trying to get in my pants or wouldn't walk away from me the second I didn't want to sleep with him. Who liked me for me. Unless you recently decided to be bisexual.

Episode 06:  Secrets and Lies
Jen: They voted for me because I'm blonde and I fill out my sweater.

Jen: Something you should know about me, Henry. Something I'm only starting to understand. That until I can learn to look at myself without judgment or condemnation, then you're right: I'm not ready for you. Or for anybody.
Henry: You know what you just said about my heart
breaking a hundred times? Well, there goes number one.

Pacey: Well, because sometimes it's just harder to rebuild something than it is to just start from scratch... That picture you have in your mind... the way something was, it's never gonna be that way again.

Episode 07: Escape From Witch Island
Pacey: Well, if you look at the clinical research, you'll find that the smart ass sidekick, he never gets the girl.

Pacey: You see, you as the girl who's wanton ways had her banished to the boonies, you needed the affection of the unblemished, small town, pure heart to validate you in your
oh so vulnerable time. Right? Me, the supernal black sheep of the Witter crew, I guess I just needed the love and affection of a woman who's drive and devotion would shame me to
the core that it would force me to get in touch with the, I don't know, shall we call it my inner achiever? You and me, we're different. We're on a level playing field.

Pacey: All I know is in November of 1999, 4 hyper-verbal teenagers running off into the woods on a witch hunt to film some ridiculous documentary for history class, and eight hours later, two of them start making out.

Pacey: You know, this may be the witches brew talking, but you are starting to look all kinds of cute.

Episode 08: Guess Who's Coming To Dinner
Pacey: When you come to see your parents as human beings with their own problems, it is oddly, kind of liberating. When you realize... they're way more messed up than you are. It's not worth your time or energy to go on despising them for it.

Episode 09: Four To Tango
Penny: Right, see what I mean? See the hostility, the way they're wary with each other, not to mention the constant bickering and name calling. Now these two clearly are in the early stages of some screwball mating ritual.

Episode 11: Barefoot at Capefest
Jen: You're right. I don't know what it's like to be in love like that. I don't know what it's like to completely lose yourself in somebody else. But I'd like to. And if one of us is younger
than the other here, I don't think that it's you, Henry

Episode 12:  A Weekend In The Country
Grams: You know you love someone when you can spend the entire night just sitting by the fire, watching him sleep

Episode 13: Northern Lights
Pacey: Wanna know something, Miss Josephine Potter? I think the world may just surprise you yet. I mean, you fall in love,
it doesn't work out and you think that it'll never happen again. But it does. Believe me, it does. In the strangest of places.

Episode 14: The Valentine's Day Massacre
Andie: You know who you sound like?
Joey: Who?
Andie: Me, right before I started dating him.

Pacey: She is very, very pretty. She's actually the kind of pretty that gives you butterflies, you know what I mean

Episode 15: Crime and Punishment
Joey: Pacey, if I was going to thank you for anything, it would be for being yourself, and, you know, for not caring about what anybody else thinks, and, and for knowing in your
heart what's right and wrong, and... for being there this year... when I needed you the most

Episode 16: To Green With Love
Pacey: You're really gonna make me do this? Okay, okay. Let's make believe I've gotten myself into an impossible situation. Pretend like I've... I'm sorta falling or have fallen for the worst person I could ever have fallen for. What would you tell me to do?
Jen: I'd tell you that any impossible situation is not gonna
get any better if you don't do something about it.

Pacey: I guess it just hurts, that's all.
Jen: Well that just means it isn't pretend anymore.

Pacey: To be honest, I feel like dog meat. She didn't even thank me.
Jen: She will.
Pacey: How can you be so sure?
Jen: Cause every duck[y] has his day. Just ask Henry.

Joey: Pacey, you're unbelievable. I mean, as soon as I think I've got you all figured out, you go and you do something so outrageous that, it completely challenges me in a way that
no one else would even think of. In case I don't say it enough, thank you.

Episode 17: Cinderella Story
Buzz: Is she a hottie?
Pacey: I'm not gonna answer that.
Buzz: C'mon, I'm nine. I got years before I even get near it. Least you can do is cough up a description.
Pacey: She's so beautiful that when you look at her your knees tremble, your heart melts, and you know, without reservation, that there is order and meaning to the universe.
Buzz: She's a hottie.
Pacey: Oh, yeah.

Episode 19: Stolen Kisses
Will: I donít know. I mean, isnít it better to have a short time with somebody that you really love, than a lifetime with somebody whoís basically a roommate? Itís just a thought.

Pacey: You know, for a bright girl, you can be really daft sometimes. Why do you think I came here? I came here to be with you! Itís as simple as that. When you like somebody, proximity is a good thing, regardless of how they feel about you. Or donít as the case may be.

Pacey: How did it feel?
Joey: It made me feel alive

 Episode 20:  The Longest Day
Joey: I just wish I were more like you. You feel things, you
act on them... Paceyís like that, too. Fearless.
Jen: Iíll let you in on a little secret about the so-called fearless... Weíre not as tough as you think we are. Paceyís heart is just as breakable as the next guyís. Maybe even more so. Considering it was already broken when you got there.

Andie: He's smart, way smart. And he has no idea how cute he is which is key cause God save us from the ones who do.

Jen: 'Cause right now you gotta walk through that front door and tell your best friend that the only girl in the universe he can't live without...
Pacey: the same one that I can't live without.

Episode 21: Show Me Love
Jack: 'Cause pieces of the last boat you borrowed are still floating around the creek, thatís why.

Jack: You know, its moments like these Iím convinced Iím straight.

Pacey: Dawson Leery couldnít have scripted this one any better, could he?

Pacey: Donít you get it? No matter what I do, he wins. If I
drop out, he wins. If I stay in the race, Iím forced into direct competition with the guy. And if I actually win, I donít actually beat him, I beat you. So guess who really wins there?

Pacey: I thought you of all people would understand
someone falling for Joey Potter.

Pacey: Could you ever love me like that?

Episode 22: The Anti-Prom
Jen: God, is there a more ridiculous and embarrassing ritual then the prom? The way it totally reinforces traditional gender roles, rewards the cool kids, punishes the geeks, and I meanÖ the pressure that this one single night exerts on the common teenagerÖ to make hollow, awkward, romantic gestures like pinning a cheap corsage on taffeta, having drunken sex with some guy whoís name you wonít even remember, and then puking in the back of some cheesy-ass rented limo. I mean, itís all just so overwhelming.

Jack: Iím going to get a soda. You know, I was wondering, wise, gay sage that you areÖ Coke, Diet Pepsi, whatís
better for my self-actualization?

Jack: If you want things to get back to the way that they were, you have to set the example.

Pacey: I remember everything.

Joey: You said tonight was about you, me and our friendship. If that was really the case, it wouldnít matter who I danced with.

Episode 23: True Love
Dawson: I admire your unswerving devotion to high school rituals

Dawson: Subtly is not exactly your forte, is it?

Jack: I just inducted myself into the halls of the permanently pathetic.

Joey: I think Iím in love with you.
Pacey: You think or you know?
Joey: I know.  Iíve known it since the moment you kissed me and maybe even before that. As scary as it is, I donít want to deny it anymore, Pacey. I donít want to run from it and I donít want to let it run from me.

Jen: This is some alternate reality where our intellects are sharper, our quips are wittier, and our hearts are repeatedly broken while faintly in the background, some soon to be out of date contempo pop music plays.

Dawson's Creek:

P/Jo currently not acknowledging
their relationship except for a few
witty quips here and there

Pacey Witter:
currently dating Audrey, Joey's
Worthington roommate

Joey Potter:
currently single
