SYNOPSIS
Don has decided that since his ambition is to become a mechanic, he doesn't need school anymore and is going to drop out, over the protests of his girlfriend, Cathy.

Don takes off in his dune buggy and runs Billy and Mentor's motor home off the road, causing damage to the water pump. Offering to repair the problem, they all go back to Don's garage, but the closest place to get a new water pump is miles away, so Don offers to take Billy with him in the dune buggy to get the part, using a shortcut through the desert.

The boys get lost, however, with Mentor and Cathy in pursuit, but along the way, a fire starts near the buggy, endangering Billy and Don. Separating himself from Don, Billy turns into Captain Marvel and drills the ground for water to put out the fire, then, writes an arrow in the clouds to show everyone a way out of the desert.

Don has learned from Billy and Cathy, though, that there's more to learn about in school than he once thought, so he is not going to drop out after all.
