DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of the people in the story some are from Roswell. The others are some of my best friends. Jerusha is not really a bad person and Steven's not really a flight sturdiest. Remember this is a fictional story and nothings really true because if Michael and Maria where true they'd still be together right now.

Maria sat in her room with nothing more to do then think. She really thought she was going to lose it soon. Max or Isabell came in every once and while to run test on her, they poked her with needles and drew blood. Maria hated it she wanted out of here. The door open on and Max and some other guy walked in. Max pushed him through the door and left.
The guy climb to his feet and said, "Hi my names Andy Daniel." Maria smiled and shook his hand; "Hi I'm Maria De Luca. So how did you get in here?" Andy looked a little embarrassed but smiled, "I ran away to Earth a few days ago and Max has been looking for me ever since then. And well now I here." "Why did you run away?" Maria asked. "Because I like humans and that's against the law here," Andy said, "and I know you a human so how did you get here?" Maria smiled she was happy that someone finally like humans on this planet other than Michael. " I came with Michael and I'm pregnant with his baby." Andy stood there in shock for a few minutes.
"This could change everything on our planet," Andy said in wonder. "They would finally see that humans are just like us only without the powers." "Yeah well I don't think they'll ever learn that. I just can't wait to get out of here," Maria answered. "Yeah your probably right," Andy answered. "We need to get you out of here if you plan on keeping that baby." Maria looked over at Andy, "What mean? What's going to happen?" "Well they probably kill you then experiment on the baby for the rest of its life," Andy answered truthfully.
Michael was a sleep on the cot. Max slammed the door open and woke Michael up. "We need to talk," Max stated. "I'm willing to let you go if you forget about Maria and be my second in command." Michael couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Max, you know me well enough to know I won't do that. I'm ashamed just to be your brother," Michael replied. Max looked pissed off. "Restrain him!!!" Max yelled. The guards ran in and grabbed Michael. Michael tried to get away but it was no use there was to many of them.
Michael was strapped down to a cold mental table. Max walked into the room with a white doctor's coat on. "Mr. Guiren we're going to run a few test on you today." A guy that Michael didn't know came up to him and drew his blood.
An hour later Michael was thrown back into his room but he was so weak he could even pick himself off the floor.
It felt like it was around 9:30 to Maria but she had no way of finding out for sure. Andy and her had become pretty good friends and they agree on a lot of things. Maria all of the sudden feel very hot and she felt like she was going to throw up. Her hand went to her stomach and she went limp in the chair. "Maria…Maria!" Andy said getting up and running over to her.
The guards came through the door and grabbed Maria. Andy tried to stop them but they had put something in him so that he could use his powers. Andy paced back and forth to try to come up with a plan on how to get out of this dump.
Max came up to a limp Maria. "Now would be a prefect time to kill the baby. Go get Michael we're going to make him squirm a little. Three of the guards came back a few minutes later with Michael and striped him to the table again. "Maria!" Michael yelled trying to wake her up but Maria remained limp. "Hi, Michael," Max said, "Maria will be out of it for the next hour. You could call it a alien pregnant thing."
Max took out a knife and raised Maria's shirt. "Agree to forget about Maria or I swear I'll take this baby's life." Max said. "What happened to you Max? This isn't you, I know you," Michael said tears starting to run down his face as he watched Max lower the knife. "Wrong you just though you know me and I'm going to prove it to you." Max started to cut skin open and tears came down Maria's face. "I agree!" Michael yelled. Max stopped where his was. One of the guards handed Michael a piece of paper. "What's this?" Michael asked. "It a contract saying that if you don't follow the rules you die," Max answered. "What are you rules?" Michael asked. "We promise to keep and protect Maria on this planet but you can't get with in 5 feet of her. You can't see you daughter and or son. You have to become my second in command," Max said making it sound so simple. "Promise me that Maria and the baby will be safe no matter what and I want it in writing." Max grabbed a pen and write:
I Max Evans promise that Maria De Luca and her child will be safe.
Max handed the paper and pen to Michael. Michael took the pen and paper. He put the paper in his back pocket and signed his name to Max's contracted. "Fix the girl!" Max said and some doctors came in and stitched Maria up and put her back in her room to recover.
Michael felt bad for what he did. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with Maria but he wasn't willing to lose their baby over that. That didn't mean it made the situation any better. Max knocked on the front door to their "parents" house bringing Michael out of thoughts. Jerusha answered the door, "Michael! I see you finally made the right choice and see things our way," Jerusha said. "I don't see anything your way I was forced to make the choice," Michael replied not really caring how rude he was being. "Oh well as long as you made that's all that matters," Jerusha said as Michael rolled his eyes, "Well I'm sure you're tired. Why don't you go get some sleep in your bedroom." Michael walked toured the stairs and heard Max tell Jerusha that he had to go and would be back latter.
Maria woke up about an hour later. Andy came over to her and asked if she was ok but she wasn't totally awake yet. Maria's eyes opened, "Why does my stomach hurt?" Maria wondered. She raised her shirt to see that she had been cut open and stitched back together. She know that the baby was fine and she was so happy for that. Max walked through the door. "Feeling better?" Max asked but not really giving her time to answer. "I came to tell you that if you get in with 5 feet of Michael ever again you and your baby will die." "Why?" Maria asked confused. "Because, "Max pulled out the contracted, " He signed this saying that as long as your protected then he'll stay away from you. If I ever see you with in 5 feet of him, YOU AND THAT BABY'S DEAD! Oh by the why your free to go when ever you want to," Max answered and left the room.
"Well you are free to go." Andy said. "Yeah," Maria said sadly, "but what about you." "Oh don't worry about me they can only hold me for about two more days. If you ever need a place to stay," Andy wrote his address on a sheet of paper, "you can stay at my house and I have a feeling ya'll need it." Maria smiles, "Thanks."
(A WEEK LATER)
Andy had been right Maria did need a place to stay since Steven was still in jail she felt bad just staying at his house so she moved in with Andy. She was so thankful for a friend like Andy, he reminded her of Alex in a way. Maria missed everybody at home but most of all she missed Michael. She missed his touch, his kisses, and his voice. "Maria," Andy said knocking on the door. "Yeah," Maria answered. "Don't forget we got to leave in an hour," Andy said.
Maria wished he would let her forget. She didn't know if she could go if everybody on the planet was going to be giving her weird looks the whole time. Maria throw on a shirt and jeans and walked out of her room to meet Andy at the car. She slide slowly into the front seat and closed the door and they where off.
When they got there Maria instantly found Michael it was like she could sense him. Michael apparently know she was there too because he was looking right at her. They both froze till Max dang Michael off. Maria felt like she was going to cry it just wasn't fair that Michael and her couldn't be together. She still didn't know what had changed Max and Isabell so much.
The meeting was for everybody on the planet it was kind of pointless but for some reason Andy wanted to go. Maria couldn't concentrate on the meeting she couldn't take her eyes off of Michael. Michael was looking right back at her. Michael looked horrible and all Maria could think of none of this would have happened if I hadn't got pregnant. Maria was ready to love and take care of this baby but she just didn't want her baby to grow up without a father. The meeting ended in about 30 minutes and Andy and Maria headed back to the car. Maria found a note on the car window with her name on it. She opened it and it read:

Maria smiles throw her tears and folded the paper up and put it in her pocket. "What was the note about?" Andy asked thinking it was a ticket or something. "Nothing," Maria answered and turned to see Michael looking at her. Michael mouthed 'I love you.' 'Ditto space boy' Maria mouthed back.
The next morning Maria woke up with a bad stomachache. She was setting in front of the toilet throwing up every five minutes. She did exactly like the idea of throwing up either it hurt really badly. Andy came in the bathroom a little after an hour of her throwing up. "It most be the baby," Andy thought out loud. Maria know for a fact that it was the baby and she also know how to fix it. The only way to fix it was for Michael to come around her again but she knew that it wasn't possible. Michael was forbidden to see her ever again and if she tried to get close to him they'd most likely do something to her or their baby.
"Do you have anything to wear tonight?" Andy asked since Maria was feeling a little better. "Huh?" Maria asked clueless about what he was talking about. "Don't you remember Max saying that there was a ball tonight and everybody's invited?" "Oh yeah," Maria said, "I have something to wear." Maria smiles knowing that Michael would most likely be there too.
It took Maria about two hours to get ready, it would have been longer but Andy kept yelling at her to hurry. She climbed in the car and they took off. Then they arrived they parked and Andy open the door for her and they walked in.
When Maria walked in the room it was packed it looked like everybody was there. She saw Michael and Max talking against the back wall. Michael looked like he wasn't too happy and was putting up a fight. Max looked over at her in disgust and Michael smiled. Michael pointed to the door across the room. Maria gave him a confused look but walked towered the door. Max turned around and walked off and Michael headed to the door. Maria slip in the room and about two minutes later Michael came in.
"Are you doing ok?" Michael asked, "And the baby?" "Other then my stomach hurting and the baby's fine," Maria knew she was lying. She knew this baby was going to die if she wasn't around Michael. She knew that it was because the baby was half-alien and half-human. "Good," Michael whispered right before kissing her.
Isabell looked around the room trying to find Michael. She had been looking for him for the last hour but he was no where insight. Isabell walked over to Max, "Max have you seen Michael?" Max thought for a second. "Last time I saw him he was heading that way," Max pointed. "Thanks," Isabell said and started over to the door.
Michael rested his forehead against Maria's. "I got to go before somebody comes," Maria nodded her head. She knew Michael would kill himself before he'd let anything happen to her or the baby. She knew because it was written all over his face. He was scared; he looked like a lost little boy. Michael kissed her one last time. He opened the door and stepped outside.
Isabell started talking about something but Michael kept an eye on the door and saw it open about five minutes later. She looked over at him and knew she didn't like that he was dancing with her.
Isabell stopped talking and leaned in and kissed Michael. Michael pushed her away, "Why'd you do that?" Michael looked over where Maria was and didn't see her. "Your subpost to be my destiny. Your subpost to be my husband," Isabell replied. "Isabell you know that I love Maria," Michael said. Isabell looked pissed that he said that. "She's a human! How could you?" Isabell yelled. "I remember when you use to love a human so don't go there," Michael snapped and walked out the door.
To his surprise he saw Maria setting on the curb. He sat down beside her and saw a tear roll down her face. "I'm sorry," Michael said as he wiped away her tears. "It's not your fault and it's not all about what happened in there. It's the whole suggestion, its like the whole universe is against up being together. Just wish they would accept me for who I am. Maybe I should just go home," Maria said. "Maria nobody can change the feelings I have for you or that I want to be with you," Michael whispered the next part, "let's leave together and get Steven out of jail." "I don't know Michael. If we get caught again," Maria trailed off realizing that wasn't just her life on the line here. "I mean Steven's already in jail for us are you so sure we'll make it this time?" Maria asked. Michael took in a deep breath, "If we all work together I beat you we can make it. The only drew back is if Steven helps then his going to have to live on Earth." Maria smiles knowing that Steven would most likely love to live on Earth. "It's the only way to be together. I'll meet you tonight plan. Where are you staying?" Michael said.
The doorbell rang and Andy went to get it. He was trying to be quiet because Maria was a sleep. He opened the door to find Michael. He opened the door wider to let him in. "Where's Maria? Michael whispered. "She's a sleep in the guest bedroom," Andy replied leading the way. When Andy opened the door Maria was very much a wake. In fact she had tears rolling down her face and was holding her stomach. Michael pushed passed Andy and keened down in front of the bed. Michael gently laid his hand on her stomach. "Maria I need you to tell what's wrong." Maria didn't answer his question and looked to Andy for help but Andy shock his head. "He disserves to know, " Andy said leaving the room to give them some privacy. "Maria, please tell me," Michael practically begged.
Maria took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Our babies dying," Maria said. "How? Why?" Michael asked. "Basically this you need you to survive. I don't know why but its slowly dying,' Maria replied. "Why didn't you tell?" Michael said as tears formed in his eyes. "I couldn't! I didn't know how too! If we are seen together the baby gets killed and if I stay it gets dying too. I didn't know what to do. I can't even get with in five feet of you," Maria said weakly. "Ok I'm sorry. How can I help the baby?" Michael asked. Maria put her hand over his, which was still on her stomach. "You have to use you powers. I tried getting Andy to try once but it turns out only you can do it. I guess the baby can tell who the father is and who isn't." "I don't know I mean I could mess everything up," Michael said in worry, "maybe you should go see Max or something." "No! You can do this," Maria looked Michael directly in the eyes, "I trust you."
Michael sighed but closed his eyes and focused all his power on the baby. He was so scared he was shacking. He didn't want to screw this up and he was known to screw things up. Once Michael couldn't find anything really wrong he broke the connection. "I can't find anything wrong," Michael said. Then he noticed that Maria wasn't crying in fact she had a huge smile on her face. "Thank you I feel so much better. You healed her. I knew you could do it," Maria whispered. "But I didn't do anything! I just sent her some of my powers," Michael said very confused. "That's all it took," Maria said, "weird I know but it worked. Everything's fine now."
Michael smiled for the first time in a long time. Not smirk but I real and true smile. Maria kissed first time in what seemed like ages. She missed so much. She didn't what the kiss to ever end but she also knew that it had to because they weren't home yet. They pulled apart both gasping for air. "You ready to go home," Michael asked helping her off the bed. "More then you'll ever know."
