There are five basic character classes and two expansion chracter classes in Diablo II and Diablo II Lord of Destruction. The classes are Sorceress, Necromancer, Barabarian, Paladin, Amzaon (these are the five basic characters) Druid and the Assassin(the two expansion characters). I will give you my evaluation of each character and what I believe exp points and skill points should be put into.
- The Amazon- I don't really have a lot of experience wih this character because it seems like a weak character. The only thing even decent about the amazon is that you can create a decoy that can't fight for you but will take damage for you. I would say put your skill points into Valkyrie and Decoy. Other than that stay away from this character.
- The Necromancer- I have raised one but then got sick of it. However I have heard that as the necromancer levels it can learn some pretty interesting skills. Always raise golems over skeletons. The reason why is because the skeletons die in about a minute. Some of the skills I would put points into are teeth, bone spear, corpse explosion, bone spirit, amplify damage and anything to do with golems.
- The Paladin- One of my favorite characters. The Paladin if you raise it the way I am it is a tank. Put all exp points into strength and vitality. Make sure thought that some exp points do go into dexterity so you can acutally hit your enemies. The skills to put points into are Might, Thorns(important skill that I use all the time!), fist of the heavens, blessed hammer, conversion, holy bolt, vengeance, zeal, and sacrifice.
- The SorceressI don't really know a lot about this character. I do however like the spell frost nova. My advice would be get a good staff, put all exp points into energy and health and maybe a little into strength and dexterity. Then decide whether you want a Cold, Lightning, or Fire Sorceress.
- The Barbarian I would say rasie it like I said to raise a Paladin. Put everything into strength adn viatality and also some into dexterity. Put all skills points into the combat mastery category.
- Now the two expanison set characters the Druid and Assassin.
- The Assassin I have heard good and bad things about this character from people. I played with one on-line and thought it was a good character. A lot of points have to go into dexterity to upgrade the Assassin's weapons. I would put the skill points into the Martial Arts and Shadow Disciplines categories.
- The Druid One of my favorite characters. I would put everything into strength and viatlity and the ocassional point into dexterity. because to cast all of his minoins you don't need a lot of mana. I would put some into his minioins because they help you a lot. But also shape shifting and elemental. Shape shifting is cool but it isn't as great as I have read it to be. Elemental is good especially when you get volcano and hurricane. So it is your call on how to raise your Druid.
