The List

This is a list of all my shipper obsessions, past and present.  You may find some of the terms a bit confusing, so here are some basic instruction for understanding The List:

Suspended: This is when a 'ship was successful at one time but not currently.  However, the 'ship could renewed at any time.
Pending: This is when a 'ship that has not enjoyed any previous success could achieve success at any time.  Also, this can mean that the 'ship has the distinct possibility of being successful in the long run.
Pre-empted: This is when, due to extenuating circumstances(i.e. show cancellation, character death, etc.), a 'ship has lost any chance it ever had to come to fruition.
Immortalized: This is when a 'ship is successful at the end of its respective series.  The series ends with the couple together and happy.  This is a rare status for a 'ship to have.
Terminated: This is when a 'ship is ended for various reasons(i.e. show cancellation, character death, etc.).
Current: This is when a 'ship is currently enjoying success.  It is mid-success.

Note: Any status changes to relevant 'ships will be made on this page, so you may want to check back if you're interested.

The Success Rate
My success rate so far is 27 out of 55, but I expect that number to rise, slowly but surely.

Here is The List in random order:

1. Julian Bashir and Jadzia Dax

Show: "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: This was my very first shipper obsession.  This was the one that started all the madness.  I was quite attached to this one, so you can see why I was distressed when they made Jadzia fall in love with Cheesegraterhead Worf.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

2. Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher
Show: "Star Trek: The Next Generation"
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: Nice 'ship I'm casually into.  The continued movies make a success possible for this couple.  I'm still rootin' for 'em.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

3. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully
    Show: "The X-Files"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: Oh, this one is extremely important to me.  This was always high on the Priority List.  Always.  I was beyond elated when I could finally add this one to my list of successes.  I honestly never thought it would happen, and it did.  It is now immortalized forever in television history.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

4. Harmon Rabb and Sara MacKenzie

    Show: "JAG"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: The show ended last year with Harm and Mac getting engaged!  WEEE!
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

5. Grace Chen and Louis Malone
    Show: "Martial Law"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: I was really ethusiastic at the potential shippiness this couple had, but then one of the characters up and left the show.  Bummer.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

6. Francis Gage and Sydney Cooke

    Show: Walker, Texas Ranger
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: I am sooo mad about this one.  These two were teetering, almost ready to topple, on the edge of lovely success, and then the series ended!  I was incensed, let me tell you.  There is still hope for some payoff if ever there is a WTR reunion TV movie, but I'm not holding my breath.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

7. Harry Kim and Seven of Nine
    Show: "Star Trek: Voyager"
    Status: Pre-Empted
Special Notes: The writers didn't know what they had when they had it.  The potential this 'ship had to be truly interesting shippiness-wise and plotwise was staggering.  Instead, they abandoned it for a solution of much lower caliber.  C/7, the horror!
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

8. Buffy Summers and Xander Harris

    Show: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Rabid, rabid, rabid B/Xer.  It's unbelievable how much I held onto this one.  This has to be my biggest and bitterest defeats in all my 'shipping history.  So close, and yet so very far away.  But hey, what is fan fiction for, right?
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

9. Willow Rosenberg and Oz

    Show: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
    Status: Terminated/Suspended
Special Notes: This was adorable when it was current.  However, it is not current anymore for two reasons.  One, because one of the characters, ahem, grew beyond the place where she once dated Oz, and two, because the show ended.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

10. Angel and Kate Lockley

    Show: "Angel"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Good Lord, I held onto this one with a death grip.  I was so excited about where this one could go, and then the writers decided to take things a different direction, plus the actress who plays Kate(Elisabeth Rohm) got a better job(Law & Order) and left the show.  However, this shipper tragedy was the best thing that could have happened.  It lead me to C/A, which will be explained later.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

11. Max Evans and Liz Parker

    Show: "Roswell"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: Max and Liz are married forever because Roswell has completed its television run.  Yay!  Max/Liz together forever...
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

12. Alex Whitman and Isabel Evans

    Show: "Roswell"
    Status: Terminated
Special Notes: This was, by far, the greatest shipper tragedy I have ever suffered through.  The relationship was suspended for an agonizingly long time, and then when they finally got back together, he died.  Lovely grief scenes, but I would give them back for Alex to be alive again.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

13. Pacey Witter and Joey Potter

    Show: "Dawson's Creek"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: Doesn't the thought of this couple give you a gooey feeling in your stomach?  If it doesn't, you must be a (crazy) D(awson)/J(oey)er.  How enraged I was when they were forced to break up in the fourth season.  However, it doesn't matter, because Pacey and Joey ended up together in the end.  Ha, and ha.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

14. Felicity Porter and Ben Covington
    Show: "Felicity"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: I'm very casual about this one.  I care, but I'm not screaming and jumping up and down about it like I am with other 'ships(C/A!).
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

15. Sean and Julie
    Show: "Felicity"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: This was barely able to make it to the Obsession List, it was such a casual interest.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

16. Steve Sloan and Amanda
    Show: "Diagnosis Murder"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Slightly of more than casual interest to me.  Not much, though.  They just look cute together.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

17. Gary Hobson and Erica
    Show: "Early Edition"
    Status: Terminated
Special Notes: Stupid Gary makes one huge mistake and ruins a really adorable shippy relationship by making her leave the show.  Stupid Gary.  Stupid, stupid Gary.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

18. Ben Turner and Gwen Pennington
    Show: "City of Angels"
    Status: Terminated
Special Notes: The cancellation of this awesome show hurt a lot because I also lost a great 'ship.  Poo.  POO ON CBS!
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

19. Max Guevara and Logan Cale

    Show: "Dark Angel"
    Status: Suspended/Terminated
Special Notes: The sudden cancellation of "Dark Angel" brought this 'ship to a screeching halt forever.  I was deeply saddened by this loss to the shipper universe.  In two short years, Max/Logan became one of my best loved 'ships of all time.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

20. Wesley Whats-His-Last-Name and Courtney Ellis
    Show: "City of Angels"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Once again, poo on CBS.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

21. John Carter and Abby Lockhart

    Show: "ER"
    Status: Suspended
Special Notes: They kinda beat around the bush for a whole season and a half, but I knew they would eventually get around to it.  And they did, and it was wonderful while it lasted, and then the writers threw it all to hell.  Now it's over and forgotten.  Not forgotten by me, however.
    Visual Evidence Page: Maybe.

22. Kyle Valenti and Tess Harding
    Show: "Roswell"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: It really sucks that Tess turned out to be really evil.  She even came back for an episode, and Kyle was mad.  He turned out to be okay with her, though.  It's really better that it worked out the way it did.  They were never really right for each other.
    Visual Evidence Page: Maybe.

23. Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore

    Show: "Gilmore Girls"
    Status: Suspended
Special  Notes: Well, due to some very stupid decision making by the writers of GG, this 'ship is currently on the rocks.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

24. Ross Geller and Rachel Green
    Show: "Friends"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: They ended up together.  Ha.  I win. ;P
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

25. Gretchen Witter and Dawson Leery

    Show: "Dawson's Creek"
    Status: Terminated
Special Notes: It was cute while it lasted, which wasn't terribly long.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

26. Cordelia Chase and Angel

    Show: "Angel"
Status: Pre-empted?  Terminated?  Immortalized?  I don't even know how to classify it.
Special Notes: I don't watch "Angel" anymore for many reasons, but what happened with Cordelia/Angel, Cordelia herself, and Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia actress) are the biggest ones.  I can't even begin to explain the crap that Mutant Enemy Productions pulled with this 'ship and their own show.  There simply are no words expressive enough to convey my distaste for their actions and my distress at their creative irresponsibility.  I can only say that I am disgusted with what they have done to Charisma Carpenter and the Cordelia character.  C/A is dead, and all trace of its existence has been permanently erased from the show.  Because of ME, I lost my #1 favorite 'ship, my #1 favorite character, and my #1 favorite show.  Great job, guys.  Oh, and now they've killed Cordelia, too.  What a stroke of genius.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

27. Harry Potter and Hermione Granger
Show: Not a show, the Harry Potter book series
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: Because this is a rather epic book series, I feel it's appropriate to 'ship for Harry and Hermione.  I'm going out on a limb on this one.  Most think Hermione and Ron are a match made in heaven. That's so boring, IMHO.  Book Five gave me much confidence, but Book Six killed all that.  I know that JKR is going in the R/Hr and H/G direction, but I still don't think I'm "delusional" or wrong to have thought the way I did (and still do).
Visual Evidence Page: What do you think?

28. Gil Grissom and Katherine Willows

    Show: "CSI"
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: They already act like an old married couple.  It's only a matter of time.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

29. Lucy Camden and Robbie Palmer
    Show: "7th Heaven"
    Status: Suspended/Terminated
Special Notes: A whim, really.  I am truly ashamed to admit that I ever watched this show.  It's terrible.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

30. T'Pol and Charles "Trip" Tucker

    Show: "Star Trek: Enterprise"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: I'm classifying it as "Immortalized" because they were essentially in a relationship when the show ended (and I do NOT count the supposed "finale" as the end; it was total crap).
    Visual Evidence Page: Perhaps.

31. Kyle Valenti and Isabel Evans
    Show: "Roswell"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: I officially crossed into semi-U(n)C(onventional) territory with this one.  However, I didn't care.  I thought it could work because Kyle was the next best thing after Alex.  The way "Roswell" ended, anything, even K/I, was possible.  Makes me happy.
    Visual Evidence Page: Hopefully.

32. Clark Kent and Lana Lang

    Show: "Smallville"
    Status: Suspended
Special Notes: This is a very frustrating couple.  They spent the better part of two years dancing around each other, never saying what they really felt until they finally gave up and confessed their mutual feelings for each other.  Not long after they had gotten together, however, they broke up.  Then after much angst and depression and anger, they managed to get back together again.  Everything was fine for a while, but then Clark lied a whole bunch ("I don't love you, Lana") and now they are really, really over.  Stupid.
    Visual Evidence Page: Yes.

33. Amy Abbot and Ephram Brown

    Show: "Everwood"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: When Everwood ended, they were back together and declaring their mutual love.  SQUEE.

34. Sydney Bristow and Will Tippin

    Show: "Alias"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Now that Will is no longer a part of "Alias," I've had to let it go.  NO, WAIT.  I take it back!  No one is ever, ever gone forever on Alias.  Never!
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

35. Andy Brown and Nina Feeny
    Show: "Everwood"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: When Everwood ended, they were engaged and doing a lot of kissing.  I call that a success. :D

36. Lucas Scott and Haley James
    Show: "One Tree Hill"
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: It looked so promising in the very beginning, but things have darkened a bit.  However, it has not dampened my spirits.  I still firmly believe that these two are bound to at the very least develop romantic tension.  At the very LEAST.

37. Lucas Scott and Brooke Davis
    Show: "One Tree Hill"
    Status: Suspended
Special Notes: Brooke broke up with him.  And she seems to be getting over him rather quickly.  I think she's just trying to protect herself.  Sigh.

38. Ephram Brown and Madison ?
    Show: "Everwood"
    Status: Terminated/Suspended
Special Notes: It was highly enjoyable while it lasted.  Now, I have to worry about the fallout from her pregnancy.  Did she keep the baby?  I don't know yet...
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

39. Logan (the Wolverine) and Jean Grey (Marvel Girl/Phoenix)
Show: X-Men, X-Men Evolution, the X-Men film series (X-Men, X2: X-Men United), several X-Men comic book branches including The Uncanny X-Men, Ultimate X-Men, New X-Men, and the short-lived X-Factor among others.
    Status: PENDING
Special Notes: Hmm.  I can't possibly think what is wrong with me.  Logan/Jean have two television shows, two films, and several comic books branches to give evidence to the relationship.  Why didn't I put this on the list sooner?  I have no idea.  I can't say much about L/J except that I love it.  I don't care what happens in the movies or the current comic book events.  I will always count Logan/Jean as one of my most beloved favorites.  Doomed and/or forbidden relationship, I suppose, but it's far more fun than most of the trite romantic nonsense out there.
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

40. Tru Davies and Davis (he's just Davis)
    Show: "Tru Calling"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Not my typical 'ship fare, but I can't help myself.  There is something so irresistably unlikely about it that makes me want it to happen all the more.  Hee!
    Visual Evidence Page: No.

41. Julian Bashir and Ezri Dax
Show: "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
    Status: Immortalized
Special Notes: Hey, if I can't have J/J, I might as well have the next best thing: E/J.  And it all worked out in my favor.  Ah, my favorite kind of 'ship.  A success.

42. Jason Morgan and Carly Roberts
    Show: "General Hospital"
    Status: Suspended
Special Notes: Well, I only watch GH when I know something interesting is going to happen, so that means I hardly ever watch it.  Even so, I'm still holding out hope that J/C can be what it never really had the chance to be: a deeper relationship.  Kind of.

43. Danny McCoy and Mary Connell
    Show: "Las Vegas"
    Status: Suspended
Special Notes: Mary will always, always be in love with Danny.  So when he and Delinda are over (again), I hope Mary and Danny will get back together.

44. Amy Gray and Bruce Van Exel
    Show: "Judging Amy"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: I watch JA when it reruns in the summer time.  I love this show, and I love this 'ship.  If only it would go somewhere.

45. Clark Kent and Lois Lane
    Show: "Smallville"
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: Okay, okay.  This is definitely strange for me, but I can't help it.  The Lois character is so incredibly likeable and her chemistry with Clark is off the charts, and I can't help it.  I just can't.  I feel it in my guts.

46. Peyton Sawyer and Jake Jagielski
    Show: "One Tree Hill"
    Status: Suspended
Special Notes: He's coming back someday.  That is all.

47: Olivia Benson and Eliott Stabler
    Show: "Law & Order: SVU"
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: No, he's not married anymore.  No, I don't care that they work together.  No, I can't stop 'shipping for them, even if I wanted to.  It's an automatic reflex.

48. Adrian Monk and Sharona Fleming
    Show: "Monk"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Well, this one was nipped in the bud before anything could really develop.  The Sharona actress left the show surrounded by suspicious circumstances.  I'm pissed at the producers.

49. Jason Morgan and Sam McCall
    Show: "General Hospital"
    Status: Current
Special Notes: Too adorable to fight.  I really enjoy this couple on GH.

50. Ryan Atwood and Summer Roberts
    Show: "The O.C."
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: No, nothing is happening here.  Right now.  You watch.  A season or two down the line...this WILL happen.  Mark my words.  I have watched too much TV and 'shipped too long to be wrong about this.  I think.

51. Jim Dunbar and Karen Bettancourt
    Show: "Blind Justice"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Forbidden, I know.  But I just can't help myself!

52. Michael Vaughn and Nadia Santos
    Show: "Alias"
    Status: Pre-empted
Special Notes: Welllll, I'm strange, what can I say?  I find the idea of a relationship between the two of them to be highly compelling.

53. Kara "Starbuck" Thrace and Lee "Apollo" Adama
    Show: "Battlestar Galactica"
    Status: Pending
Special Notes: I feel like this one is a no-brainer for anyone who has ever seen the show.

54. Karl "Helo" Agathon and Sharon "Athena" Agathon
    Show: "Battlestar Galactica"
    Status: Current
Special Notes: I always loved these two, especially because she was a Cylon.  How perfect is that, a Cylon falling in love with a human?  And without it being creepy and weird like with Six and Baltar?  So adorable.  And now they're married!  I love it.

55. Kate Austen and James "Sawyer" Ford
    Show: Lost
    Status: Current
Special Notes: I'm totally calling this current because they are as together as two people can get on this show.  I just love them.  I don't know why I favor Sawyer over Jack here.  I just do.
