1/31/02 - Ep. 14 spoilers
2/25/02 - Rest of the season spoilers
John Doe's (Jeff Parker) song "Totally Yours," from "Freedom Is..." will be featured in the Jan. 8 "Roswell," playing at the end of an episode in which one of the show's couples breaks up.
Liz's parents will make good on their promise to ship young Ms. Parker off to Winnaman Academy -- a Vermont boarding school.
Liz is paired with a pothead roommate named Eileen Burrows. Eileen will give Liz her first taste of marijuana.
Liz tells Eileen to call her "Beth," and claims to be from Anaheim, Calif. She also claims to have not left a boyfriend behind. At first.
While chatting in the Winnaman dean's office, Liz begins to exhibit telekinetic superpowers!
Maria will hit the road. She'll visit "first-kiss" Billy Darden in Manhattan, and follow up with a visit to Liz in Vermont.
Meta-Chem, Michael's new employer, will mortally wound one of Michael's security-guard buddies in an effort to force Michael to use his "healing powers." Trouble is, Meta-Chem doesn't realize that Michael has no healing powers; only Max does. Michael's pal Monk does not survive the episode.
Max will heal a mortally-wounded Jim Valenti (which I guess means Roswell's former sheriff will probably be getting superpowers too).
The Meta-Chem folks catch Max healing Valenti. We learn Meta-Chem learned about the "healer" via reports of Liz taking a bullet in the diner (Meta-Chem has her ketchup-stained Crashdown uniform, among other things) and the remarkable recovery of a ward full of cancer kids a little over a year ago.
Meta-Chem, it turns out, has been searching for "the healer" on behalf of a 92-year-old billionaire.

We learn that Max really isn't dead but that his spirit has been absorbed into Clayton s body as a result of Max's healing in the previous episode - more than that, Clayton now looks like Max but he s dueling to keep Max s spirit from taking over. Believing that ridding Liz s presence within his mind will help free him, Clayton (who looks like Max now) goes to Vermont to find and kill Liz. Meanwhile, Liz and Maria learn of Max s death and are in a state of mourning. When Clayton/Max shows, Liz eventually comes to believe she must kill this Max/Clayton person, and in her play to do so, she actually brings Max back to life, killing Clayton in the process. Meanwhile, Isabel is fatally wounded in the fight to save Max at the lab, and in Michael and Jesse s efforts to save her, Jesse is told the truth about her alien identity. Highlights: Max isn't dead - he is now inhabiting the body of Clayton (who now looks like Max) but must battle Clayton for control of the body to ultimately save himself as well as Liz. Jesse is finally told the truth about Isabel's alien identity |

Episode 316 - Crash Liz: What are you doing? Max: Landing on Mars. Liz: I need a tuna melt, grilled cheese, fries on both and two malts and â¤" (looking at the â¤cookâ¤?) I cannot get used to the hat. Max works the grill. In an apron. And paper hat. Max: Just doing my part. Liz uses her BRAIN and comes up with the idea to get the Army van and the uniforms of the two guys by playing damsels in distress. I got the fell LIz was in charge at that point. She signals the guys and tells them when to act. She uses her MIND but as far as the Aliens are concerned that is Super Power. LOL Yes the second Major shoots the Major in the head. These were the same guy who were gonna kill Colonel Ted, Connie, break Michael's fingers. I don't think Max and Michael knew he was going to get shot in the head. They just put him there for a live body to replace Colonel Ted, so people wouldn't get suspicious right away. NO mention of the Alien Pilot ONLY the cargo. That's our Pod Squad why the HELL ask questions. Diane is afraid because Phillip has her convinced they killed Tess. She thinks her children murdered a pregnant woman in cold blood. Yes we are down to 18. Max and Liz seem VERY happy. In fact SOMETHING happened in Who died and Chant down that made them closer. He isn't treating her like shit. They even share a look in this one at the end . They work together as a team again. Which worries the hell out of me not to get my hopes up for the last 2. Destiny and HOM are still VERY fresh in my mind Michael and Maria still seem wierd. Like not together but S1 together and at the end I think they are S2 together. BTW Michael and Connie share a kiss. Thought all the Candies would just LOVE that.
One thing to look forward to: Amy Deluca has 2 lines. Amy is around to sell her crap for the UFO festival. This episode, IMO, is a Michael-centric episode. Jeff and Max are building a relationship. He lets Max work the grill while Michael is AWOL. Jesse goes on his FIRST business trip out of town since he's been married. (Maybe TPTB didn't watch the New Years episode?) This episode revolves around a military crash. I do not like the way the military is protrayed in this episode. And I will absolutely not be watching this episode, especially when Soldiers and Sailors are dying so KHo can have freedoms. DREAMER SCENE!!!!!!!! A GOOD ONE!!!!!!!!!! Max crosses over to Liz MAX: We'll meet at Michael's Hurry up. Liz: Be careful. If there is a ship there......... Max: Not a chance in HELL! Then they kiss MAx and Michael disguise themselves with Alien Masks to invade the Military LMAO And disguise their voice by taking hits of baloons. The special cargo fits into a duffle bag.... So I don't think it's Tess or their son. For the Candies: Our Dream couple are VERY considerate and APPRECIATIVE of each other I wish there was only enough left of Tess to fit in a duffel bag. But sadly no the "cargo" isn't Tess. It ends with the Father and daughter riding off into the sunset and Max/Liz and Maria/Michael having a light shipper moment... and they have the cargo. Why was Michael fired? Because he missed work AGAIN.
NEVER said Tess was the pilot. What Diane saw "I'm positive PHillip. I don't know how she did it unless she walked through the wall and that's impossible." Phillip : Yeah it is. What about Max? Diane: Isabel says he's spending ALL his time with Liz. Phillip: Is that true? Isabel(comming out of the restraunt): I'll take care of him. Diane (frightened) : Who? Your father? Isabel: huh? The Valet, Mom. I'll get the tip. Isabel steps out of the frame leaving Diane SPOOKED. Kyle's still on the show?????

Episode 317 - Four Aliens and a Baby spoilers THE CRASHED UFO Twisted, scorched metal supported by scaffolding and surrounded by a bank of lights. It's a surreal scene as six SCIENTISTS in bio-hazard suits swarm the vehicle like flies on a carcass. AIR FORCE OFFICER The scientist shakes his head. A buzz saw digs into the metal with a sickening WHIR. AIR FORCE OFFICER Another scientist calls out SCIENTIST All of the scientists leave their areas and congregate around the cockpit portion of the crashed UFO They hammer, hammer, hammer as the tiny opening, trying to crack it open. Suddenly, the UFO HUMS to life. The surprised scientists back away slowly. A CRUNCHING sound and a pneumatic HISS as a pressurized seal breaks, and a hatch slowly slides open. A bright light emits from the UFO's opening, washing over the scientists faces. The anticipation grows. The group leans in closer to see AIR FORCER OFFICER REVERSE TO REVEAL The ships only occupant A TINY, HUMAN INFANT Frail. Cooing. Swaddled in a fine white silk. The AIR FORCE OFFICER Reaches inside the craft for the baby. But just before he touches it, A LOUD BANG rings out. Heads whip in time to see another portion of the ship clang to the floor. AIR FORCE OFFICER Suddenly something erupts towards the men with a horrible SHRIEK and we slam cut to: OUTSIDE THE PLASTIC SHEETS THE ARMED MP'S Rush in, guns blazing BACK INSIDE. CAMERA HOLDS ON THE BABY Kicking his legs, oblivious to the chaos. Blood curdling screams come in bunches. AN otherworldly SCREECH accompanies the brutal attack. Gun shots ring out. Lights EXPLODE and SPARK, casting an eerie glow. Finally it's over. All is quiet. THE BABY Kick. Looks around. Then something FLASHES past frame. Moving too fast to see. And the baby is gone. WIDER Overhead shot reveals the extent of the carnage. Bodies and blood everywhere. Nothing moves. And in the middle of the maelstrom sits the cracked UFO. Conspicuously devoid of passengers. END OF TEASER
OK this brings out ALOT of thing in my mind. #2 When did Tess forget to mind warp? I already HEARD the she was just protecting her child. BUT last TIME I heard she could mind warp entire rooms of people. WHouldn;t that be easer implanting the memory it was empty and then her and the baby just walk out of there NOT WANTED MASS MURDERS?????? #3 WHY was Tess not on the ship with the baby. SCript says ONLY PASSENGER. Anyway I think this part is VERY telling. THey are setting her up as EVIL right fromt he bat. Gwen Tess SHOWS UP IN ROSWELL WITH SPOT The Pod Squad treat her buddy buddy Kyle asks if she breast feeds I meant Max Michael and Kyle. Sorry I'm trying to rescue the forums I don't have up yet and work at the same time. Don't know how much sense I'm gonna make. Isawhore just seems put off because Jesse is making her tell her parents Tess is being played by EdR. Michael's apartment now magically has a skylight! They know Tess is back becuse she leads a trail of blood back to the Valenti house. They baby is lying there in the middle of the blood bath. She brins the kids with her everywhere. OK she just kills a BUNCH of people and then she waddles up (like the duck she is) and is like lookeeee see I'm a mommy now. See! I have the baby. All that matters is the baby. Don't look at the me..a BABY right here, but I am holding the baby. So that makes me as important. Just keep looking at the baby. I dunno as a mom it's making me wanna puke. People that use thier kids to gain attention/sympathy piss me off to NO END. So what your the mother! It doesn;t make you as innocent as the baby! I don't even know if I am explaining it right.

3ADE11 "I MARRIED AN ALIEN" ACT ONE 11/12/01
Writer's 1st MARIA: And sentimental leads to good-night kiss... ISABEL: And good-night kiss leads to sex... KYLE: I should write that down. Now the DOORBELL rings. ISABEL: (re: constant visitors) What is it today? She crosses into... INT. RAMIREZ APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - DAY - CONTINUOUS Isabel OPENS the front door, revealing ERIC HUGHES (20s) a good-locking guy in a rumpled set of clothes, who looks like he's been on the road a while. ISABEL: Yes? ERIC: Are you Isabel? ISABEL: Yes... ERIC: I'm Eric. Eric Hughes. (beat) Jesse's friend from Cornell. ISABEL: (overlapping) From Cornell. Come in! Come in. Eric ENTERS and looks around. Kyle and Maria wave. ERIC: (waves back) Hi. (to Isabel) Sorry I missed the wedding. ISABEL: Don't worry about it. END OF PAGE PAGE 14 ERIC: I had the best intentions, I was on the road, I was going to drive straight through from Atlanta, but I kind of got sidetracked. I got this gig up in St. Paul, then another gig in Chicago. MARIA: You a musician? ERIC: No. I'm a reporter. INT. RAMIREZ APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - SITCOM VERSION Isabel reacts. In the sitcom, Eric looks more the part of a classic reporter -- rumpled suit, fedora, and smoking. ISABEL: A reporter? Kyle and Maria look at each other. MARIA: We should be -- Kyle and Maria make a hasty exit, leaving Isabel all alone with Eric. He starts snooping around the apartment, giving everything the eye. ERIC: Must say I was pretty surprised when I heard ol' Jess was getting hitched. You must be something... quite out of the ordinary. ISABEL: Me? No. ERIC: Hmmmn. Eric looks at her suspiciously for a beat. ISABEL: So... how long are you going to be in Roswell? END OF PAGE PAGE 15 ERIC: Until I find a story. My editor's been driving me crazy. Says I have to come up with a slam-bang piece of investigative journalism -- something that really blows the lid off the place or I'll have to find another line of work. Eric sits down on the couch. INT. RAMIREZ APARTMENT - DAY (NON-SITCOM) Eric finishes sitting down on the coach. ERIC: I conned my editor into fronting my travel expense to Roswell by promising her a great story. So I'm afraid I'm stuck here until I can come up with something... great (joking) Know any aliens? Isabel gives a laugh she doesn't quite feel. EXT. RAMIREZ APARTMENT -LIVING ROOM - NIGHT (NON-SITCOM) INT. RAMIREZ APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT (NON-SITCOM) It's getting late. Jesse and Eric have been drinking beer, eating pizza and catching up on old times. Eric looks through their CD collection and Jesse retrieves a couple more beers from the fridge. JESSE: You ever hear from Keith? ERIC: Got an e-mail about a year ago. Said he was thinking about joining the Peace Corps. JESSE: He's been saying that for years. He doesn't like dirt, how's he going to help people dig wells? Incoming-- Jesse tosses a beer bottle across the room just as Isabel ENTERS from the bedroom, carrying sheets, blankets and pillows. Eric catches the bottle easily, but it still earns Jesse a lifted eyebrow from his wife. END OF PAGE PAGE 41 INT. LAW OFFICE - JESSE'S OFFICE - DAY Eric is struggling with his laptop while Jesse puts files into a briefcase. JESSE: So do me a favor -- drop the story on Isabel and me. ERIC: Yeah, fine, whatever. Am I insane or did Michael touch my computer just before it crashed? JESSE: Hey-- your're right. You are insane. ERIC: This thing is totally screwed. Can I use your computer to check my email? Jesse heads for the door. JESSE: Sure. I'm in court until four. You up for dinner with my in-laws? ERIC: Like I have other options. JESSE: Later. Jesse exits. Eric sits at the computer for a beat... starts to tap on the keyboard, then looks up... sees the FILE CABINETS. He thinks about it. Gets up... crosses the room... peeks inside... no one can see him. He opens one of the filing cabinets... starts looking for something. Finally, he finds it-- ECU - FILE RESUME EXT. ERIC: Look, I won't use your name in the article and I won't quote you directly. I'm just trying to do some background research on Michael Guerin and I was wondering if you could help. Sharon hesitates, looks away and shakes her head. SHARON: Guess it was just a matter of time before somebody started asking questions... Eric tries not to show his building excitement. ERIC (not as sure as he sounds) Yeah, I mean... c'mon... you knew somebody was going to ask.. right? SHARON: Right. (sighs) The first incident was in 1989, right after we found him. The county placed him into a foster home that we knew to be a reliable, steady environment. He'd been there less than two days before we got a phone call about... an unusal event. ERIC: Event...? SHARON: They said that Michael made the kitchen table levitate off the floor. About three feet off the floor. ERIC: Go on. SHARON: They were very religious people and they felt that Michael was... possessed or something so we placed him in another home. But, about a week after that... END OF PAGE PAGE 43
ERIC: You got another call? SHARON: This time, they said Michael got angry and that -- this sounds crazy, I know, but if you'd heard that father's voice on the phone -- they said Michael got angry and melted their television. With his hand. Eric shakes his head, scribbles furiously. ERIC: How many more of these... incidents are there? SHARON: About a dozen. ERIC: And this is all documented in County records? SHARON: You think we're gonna put something like that in a government file? There's not a word of it in any of their records. ERIC: Their records? SHARON: Michael, Max and Isabel. Eric freezes, stares at her. SHARON (CONTD): I mean, granted that Max and Isabel only had the one incident reported, but they were only in one foster home before they were adopted. ERIC: (stunned) Right... SHARON: (conspiratorial) You know, they say that psychic phenomena runs in certain families. Well, if you ask me, I think all three of those kids are related. DIANE: I think we need a couple more serving spoons. ISABEL: I think there's another box of utensils in the closet... Isabel goes towards their bedroom. The back door opens and Eric enters. Eric's excitement is written all over his face. JESSE: What a surprise -- you're too late to help, but just in time to eat. (sees the look on his face) What's up, man? ERIC: I've got the story. The one that's going to put me on the map. I'm thinking the cover of Newsweek. JESSE: What is it? Diane heads into the kitchen. END OF PAGE I Married An Alien!" Act III, Writer's 1st Page 45 Cont. She's really coming into her alien powers. Nevertheless, she
is shipped off the boarding school in Vermont. Meanwhile, a tragedy
occurs at Meta-Chem that puts Michael on full alert. ACT 1 PAGE 5 SCENE 2 contd -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MARIA: Sure VALENTI: Great. Practice starts tomorrow. Maria moves down the counter to a new CUSTOMER, the woman from Cow Patty's. This is DOMINIQUE LAZAR -- urban, edgy, focused. MARIA: 'Need a menu? Dominique looks Maria up and down. DOMINIQUE: I am loving you. (pulling a card) I'm Dominique Lazar. Airtime Records. I was at the show last night. Hearing this, Valenti scoots over. VALENTI: Hey there. Jim Valenti. Lead singer. Nice to meet ya. DOMINIQUE: (not hearing him, to Maria) You were really good. And I never say that. VALENTI: Well, thanks. That was a new set. And Maria was a great addition. Dominque finally notices him. DOMINIQUE: Oh. Were you there, too? VALENTI: I'm the... lead singer. DOMINIQUE: Good for you. So, Maria. Maria what? MARIA: Deluca. MAX: (taken aback) Right. You should. LIZ: Havard is super important to my parents. I haven't even gotten in yet -- The beaker SHATTERS. Jolted, Liz looks up and catches herself in the mirror above the sink. In the reflection, her features have disappeared, leaving her face a blank canvas of skin. MAX: Liz. She double-takes into the mirror. All is back to normal. MAX: Are you O.K.? LIZ: Yeah. I'm fine. I'll clean this up. You go ahead and start. Max moves off. Liz looks at the shattered glass in the sink then back up at her reflection. Something strange is goin on. 5 INT. DOCTOR'S OFFICE - DAY Liz is dressed in a smock. DR. FRANK, 60s, looks over her medical file. LIZ: Isomnia. Low-grade fever. Mild aches and pains. I'm thinking it's the flu. DR.FRANK: Thank you for your diagnosis, Dr. Parker. Shall I mail you a statement, or will you just bill yourself? LIZ: Never give a twelve-year-old a medical dictonary.
PAGE 11 SCENE 5 contd -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR.FRANK: Your white blood cell count in normal, which elminiates an infection. Maybe you have a virus. Have you been experiencing any dizziness? LIZ: No. DR.FRANK: Coughing? LIZ: No. DR.FRANK: Chills? Dr. Frank continues down his checklist. Suddenly, his voice cuts out in a burst of STATIC-LIKE-NOISE. Liz tries to conceal her alarm. The STATIC is quickly gone, and Dr. Frank's voice returns to normal. DR.FRANK: Are you sexually active? (then)Liz? LIZ: What? No. No. DR.FRANK: Do you have a boyfriend? LIZ: We're not. Having sex. DR.FRANK: Has he pressured you about it? LIZ: No more than any normal high school senior. Dr. Frank, I'm not comfortable talking about this. DR.FRANK: It's not my favorite topic of conversation, either, but you're at a certain age, Liz. You may be thinking about experimenting. I can't help you protect yourself if you're not honest with me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAGE 12 SCENE 5 contd -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LIZ: Protect me from what? DR.FRANK: When you're young, sometimes you overlook the consequences of knowing someone intimately. It's possible that you can catch something. Even from someone you love. And this is Liz's worst fear. 6 INT. MICHAEL'S APARTMENT - NIGHT Michael returns home with a bag of groceries. He stops when he sees Maria, pacing excitedly by the front door. The Daily Show is on in five minutes, and I've got a Lean Cuisine to heat up. MARIA: Your existence is frightening. MICHAEL: Good night. Michael unlocks the front door with his powers when -- MARIA: A woman from a record label saw me perform last night. She's offering me a demo deal. DOMINIQUE: Drugs? MARIA: Absolutely not. DOMINIQUE: Honestly, I could care less. Lord knows there are days I'd hook myself up to a Stoli drip if I could. But the biys upstairs make me ask these questions. MARIA: Why? DOMINIQUE: Millions of little girls and their weekly allowances, that's why. How old are you again? MARIA: Eighteen. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAGE 23 SCENE 11 contd -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DOMINIQUE: That's what you're going to tell people for the next three years. By the way, I booked us a studio for early next week. MARIA: That's so soon. Good thing I brought this. Maria digs into her purse, pulls out a cd. MARIA: Some of my songs. And please know I know how much work they need. I get so nervous sharing them with people, but I figured you were curious. Anyway, these were recorded at home, so they're totally raw -- MICHAEL (o.s.): Don't listen to her. They're really good. Michael slides into the booth next to Maria, plants a kiss on her cheek. MAX: I've screwed up hundreds of times since we found out who we really are. Do you know how many times Liz has? Never. And in return for her loyalty, I did this to her. WINKLER: Massachusetts is very different from New Mexico. Are you up for a big change? LIZ: (realizing as she says it) Actually, I think I'd really benefit from one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAGE 31 SCENE 15 contd -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WINKLER: Good. Well, let's jump in, shall we? So, Liz Parker, why Harvard? Liz smiles. This is gonna be a cakewalk. LIZ: Ever since I was fifteen and read Dr.Laura Holt's work, I knew I wanted to learn from her in person. WINKLER: Laura is an amazing professor. I took three of her courses. You know, you two would really hit it off. Winkler excitedly takes notes. WINKLER: Do you see yourself -- Winkler's voice CUTS OUT and is replaced by STATIC. Liz's hope sinks as she strains to listen. LIZ: I'm sorry, what? WINKLER: --returning to Ros -- ck to the community? (off her silence) Liz? LIZ: I'm sorry? Could you repeat that? He does, but it's obliterated by another wall of STATIC. LIZ: I guess I -- I'm not sure. Frowning, Winkler writes something on his note pad. He fires off another question, but it's inaudible. Liz grips the arms of her chair. She struggles to breathe. The room spins. Unable to control herself, she SCREAMS. Winkler is blown back by the force of her outburst. He slams forward and slumps over the desk -- seemingly dead. A pool of blood forms on the blotter. Liz stares at him in horror. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PAGE 32 SCENE 15 contd WINKLER: Liz? I know it's a tough question, but surely you have some strengths that you recognize. Liz is pale, sweating. To Winkler's amazement, she flees the room. When you see her, will you tell her I stopped by? We need to talk. They arrive at the studio door. DOMINIQUE: Are you ready? No answer from Maria. Just hyperventilating BREATHS. Dominique turns, sees her inhaling a vial of aromatherapy oil. DOMINIQUE: What is that? MARIA: Eucalyptus. To keep me calm. DOMINIQUE: Sweetie, enough. It smells like J-Lo. Dominique takes the vial, adjusts Maria's top to show a little more skin. She slams through the door and into -- 25 INT. He HUMS a few bars. DOMINIQUE: I knew it. Dominique pulls out her cell phone, moves into a corner. MARIA: "Break My Tears". I wrote it about splitting up with my boyfriend. ADAM: I've been tweaking with it a little. Wanna listen? MARIA: Oh my god. Yes. IN THE CORNER Dominique chats into her phone. DOMINIQUE: Chase is all over it. Yeah. The girl is gonna be huge. AT THE CONSOLE Adam hits a switch and the SONG begins to play. It's an uptempto arrangement with an R&B vibe. Very top forty. Maria struggles to contain her shock. ADAM: Tight, huh? Dominique ends her call and slides over. MARIA: That's me? ADAM: I re-mixed the vocals. Laid a few samples under. The rest is a little more rough, but you get the picture. He SHUTS it off. DOMINIQUE: That's a number one. What do you think?

DEAN HACKETT: Then we shouldn't have any problems. LIZ: We won't. I came here to get away from problems. DEAN HACKETT: I hope so. Because I know about your arrest in Utah, Ms. Parker. LIZ: That's all in the past. DEAN HACKETT: And about this boyfriend of yours. LIZ: (hard for her) I was kind of all wrapped up with him. But I'm not anymore. DEAN HACKETT: I hope you're being honest with me. And
with yourself. Because trust me, in a few years, you'll
forget all about him
Suddenly, the Dean's voice begins to cut in and out, replaced by loud STATIC. Liz horrified. DEAN HACKETT: (walking towards window) I've seen hundreds of girls your age go through this. Liz looks down at her hands, terrified to see that they're glowing! She pulls her sleeves over her hands. DEAN HACKETT: They give their lives over to some guy and forget all about themselves... Then an 'executive toy' on the Dean's desk (the kind with the metal balls that bang back and forth) is set into motion! CLICK. CLICK. CLICK. Liz tries to control her panic. Dean Hackett spins back from the window and stops the clacking balls. DEAN HACKETT: You're not even listening to me, are you Ms.Parker? LIZ: I am. Of course I am. EILEEN: Yeah, I'm the welcoming committee. And you must be... (reads Liz's visitor's badge) Elizabeth Parker. LIZ: Didn't they tell you I was coming? EILEEN: No. But you might want to lose the name tag. You're an inmate now. Embarrassed, Liz removes the name tag then enters. She throws her bag onto the unmade bed. Eileen heads to her own bed, pulls out a sandwich bag of pot from under the mattress. EILEEN: (sizing here up) So, Elizabeth? Liz? What do I call you? Liz hesitates. Then decides to try really starting over... LIZ: Beth. I go by Beth. EILEEN: Where are you from, Beth? LIZ: California.
EILEEN: Yeah? What part? LIZ: (thinking fast) Not far from Disneyland. EILEEN: Anaheim? Lucky you. LIZ: (going with the flow) Tell me about it. EILEEN: You leave a boyfriend back there? Again, Liz pauses. Then makes a decision. LIZ: (quietly) No. No boyfriend. EILEEN: Lesbian? LIZ: Sorry. EILEEN: (casually rolling a joint) I wasn't asking for me. But there are plenty of girls here who dabble in that whole bi-curious thing. Eileen lights up her joint and inhales large. EILEEN: Is this making you uncomfortable? LIZ: I'm not embarrassed about my sexuality. EILEEN: I meant the pot. LIZ: To tell you the truth, it is. The Dean just read
me the riot act and I don't want to get in trouble five minutes
after I got here.
EILEEN: Don't worry about it. Everyone around here has a stash. Nobody cares. (offering joint to Liz) Here. Take a hit. LIZ: No, thanks. I don't... EILEEN: Never? LIZ: Not my thing. EILEEN: Wow. A virgin. And you're from California? Liz plays it off as she contines to unpack. There's a KNOCK on the door. EILEEN: Who is it? DEAN HACKETT: (o.s.) Dean Hackett. EILEEN: (exhaling giant cloud) What the hell is she doing here? LIZ: I don't know -- DEAN HACKETT: (o.s.) Open up! Eileen drops the cool facade as she goes into ass-saving mode, futilely trying to wave away the smoke. Liz remains calm. She quickly flips on Eileen's fan, points it towards the window, and pulls the window open... LIZ: (yells out) One second, I'm getting changed.
