This is from the season 1 episode entitled "Stalked".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it shows a human side to the detectives. It shows Olivia as the possible victim instead of the cop. It shows that they need help sometimes too. It also shows the concern Elliot harbors for his partner.

Favorite scene: The scene where Elliot is dropping Olivia off at her apartment and tells her to blink her lights when she gets upstairs.

This is from the season 1 episode entitled "Bad Blood".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it also shows the human side to the detctives. It shows that Olivia has fears about herself due to her father. It also shows a compassion and love Munch has for Olivia as a friend.

Favorite scene: The scene where Munch is giving a file folder of a perp that "looked good" for her mother's rape. Elliot comes up and askes if Munch is bugging his partner.

This is from the season 3 episode entitled "Wrath".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it once again shows a human side to the detectives. It shows Olivia as the victim instead of the cop. It shows that they need help sometimes too. It also shows the concern the entire squad harbors for Olivia. It also shows that innocents can turn into criminals.

Favorite scene: The scene where Olivia talks to Elliot outside his home and tells him "if you can't trust your partner, Elliot, it's time to get a new one.".

This is from the season 3 episode entitled "Denial".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it shows Fin as a caring, compassionate man instead of the bad-ass cop he so often likes to pretend to be. It shows a vulnerable side to Fin.

Favorite scene: The scene at the end of the episode where Fin goes to the heroine addict and gives her a framed picture of her sister so that she doesn't have to get high to remember what her sister looked like.

This is from the season 4 episode entitled "Chameleon".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it shows better than other episodes that women can be the perps just as easily as the men can. It also shows how manipulative people can be.

Favorite scene: The scene where Elliot is interrogation Maggie and she starts undressing for him. Then Olivia comes in and tackles and arrests Maggie after she tries to hurt Olivia.

This is from the season 4 episode entitled "Disappearing Acts".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it shows how corrupt someone can become. It also shows the two main characters under investigation. It proves that not everyone loves these characters.

Favorite scene: The scene where Elliot and Olivia are being interrogated by the feds. Then they go back to the squadroom to find that IAB had been there just before. The gang says that they will watch Elliot and Olivia's backs and do everything they can to help clear them.

This is from the season 5 episode entitled "Loss".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it is the episode where Alex leaves. It shows that no matter how many times they argued, Elliot and Olivia care deeply about Alex.

Favorite scene: The scene at the very end where the gang is quiet about Alex dying, then Elliot and Olivia are told to meet the Feds somewhere and they say goodbye to Alex. Elliot and Olivia are both in dibelief that she is alive and sad to see her leave.

This is from the season five episode entitled "Control".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it shows that Olivia takes her job very seriously. She threatens to leave when she makes a mistake that caused many women to become kidnapped and raped. She is then accused (by her now fiancee) of murdering the perp. It shows a relationship between Elliot and Olivia more because of the fact that Elliot knows that she didn't kill the perp.

Favorite scene: The scene where Casey, Elliot, and Olivia are talking and Casey says that she's going to try and clean things up. Olivia states that neither Casey nor Elliot asked her if she really did murder the man. Elliot tells her that Casey couldn't and that he knew she would have used a gun to kill him.

This is from the season 5 episode entitled "Shaken".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it shows that even Elliot made a mistake. It's not even the plot that really gets me so much as the need for Elliot to find the perp. Why don't find out why until the end.

Favorite scene: The scene where Elliot is at the bar talking to Cragen. He tells Cragen a story of when Maureen was younger and he hurt her. You can see the regret in his eyes.

This is from the season 5 episode entitled "Painless".

Why I like it: This episode is really good because it hits very close to home and it is very accurate. The way they portray the way suicidal people think and feel is unbelievablely true. It hit very close to home for me, because I myself am suicidal. It also shows a vulnerable side to Munch. We find out that Munch's own father committed suicide.

Favorite scene: The scene where Munch talks to the suicidal woman in the hospital and tells her about his father committing suicide. Also the scene earlier in the episode where the woman yells at Casey for not understanding what it was like to be in so much pain.

This is from the season 1 episode entitled "Stalked".

Why I like it: This episode is one of my favorite episodes because it is a battle of the mind. The physcial acts that occur are secondary to the mental games that are played.

Favorite scene: When Olivia takes down Richard White in the park. Girls rock!

This is from the season 3 episode entitled "Wrath".

Why I like it: Like Stalked, I enjoy this episode because it is about mind games. It shows just how deeply Oliva is affected by her job. She is very passionate about what she does, which is evident by all the people she reaches out and offers help to.

Favorite scene: When Olivia is woken up in the middle of the night and comes down to the front door, gun in hand. What's better than a chick with a gun?

This is from the season 3 episode entitled "Guilt".

Why I like it: I like this episode because it portrays Alex as something other than the "Ice Queen" who is only interested in her career. It also shows the bond that has formed between Elliot, Olivia, and Alex as Elliot and Olivia try to cover for her to Cragen.

Favorite scene: When Alex tells Olivia that she is sorry and Olivia calls her on her lie.

This is from the season 4 episode entitled "Angels".

Why I like it: I enjoy this episode because it has more personal character action that what is typical for Dick Wolf and SVU. We get a chance to see Alex outside of the office/courtroom along with the reactions of both Elliot and Liv.

Favorite scene: In the resturaunt when Trevor shows up at the dinner table and Olivia tells Alex that she's dining with the enemy.

This is from the season 4 episode entitled "Fallacy".

Why I like it: Fallacy is one of my favorite episodes because it tackles the difficult issue of transgendered people, highlighting their struggles and illustrating their humanity.

Favorite scene: The scene in Alex's office after the trial where Alex and Olivia are discussing the outcome of the case and their personal feelings about how it was handled.

This is from the season 5 episode entitled "Serendipity".

Why I like it: I enjoy this episode because it is the first look we have at Casey. The squad is still dealing with Alex's departure, and the change in dynamics caused by the introduction of a new person into the mix is very interesting to watch.

Favorite scene: While Elliot and Olivia are executing a search warrant, Casey shows up barking out orders and Olivia asks her "Who the hell are you?"

This is from the season 5 episode entitled "Poison".

Why I like it: This episode shows just how currupt the judicial system can become because of the prejudices of a single person. Casey's impassioned fight against this corruption is very inspiring.

Favorite scene: The final courtroom scene. Did someone say "A Few Good Men?" *cough*

This is from the season 5 episode entitled "Bound".

Why I like it: Mariska's incredible acting makes this episode, hands down!

Favorite scene: The interrogation of Emma Spevak.
