Well, about 2 months ago, I started noticing so many sites copying stuff from my sites on The Double Up Network. People would rip off my layouts and graphics, pretend graphics on my graphics site were their own and then tell people not to copy them, or just plain not link me after using my freebies. This kind of stuff really got to me. I mean, how hard is it to just link a person? They would link other graphic sites, but my link was nowhere. Thanks. I put a lot of work into my sites, and people just steal it without so much as a link. I would contact people and ask them to either give me credit or take the stuff down, but it never worked. Today I went to someone's site and they had taken a picture off my pictures section (I could tell it was mine because it was the same size and quality), which would have been fine by me, but they didn't even link me! And then they blew up the picture on my main graphic of my site and cut around it so no one would be able to tell (I don't have proof of this one, but the odds are in my favor, being that they already took one pic without permission, and that picture IS smack dab in the middle of everything on my site right now). I couldn't go accusing this person of taking my pictures, because they would tell me that they got it somewhere else and that I don't have proof, but I'm 99% sure they did. This is just one of my copycat discoveries. Anyways, I'm sure you're tired of me babbling on about all this. I decided to make a site to protect other sites. You don't have to be a victim of copying to join though. I don't take the low road and embarrass people (you'll notice I did not mention the names of any guilty parties above), but this site is to make awareness about copying. It's ILLEGAL, folks! Taking people's stuff without permission is a CRIME! Some people don't seems to realize that. I'm really passionate about the subject, because I've been victim to it time and time again. So, now that you've read Aaargh!'s charming history, why don't you read the rules?
