Three hours later Chloe and her father sat in his large office as her grandfather’s lawyer prepared to execute the will. Her grandfather’s ex wife, Maggie, and her two sons, Alex and Andrew sat along the black leather couch. The lawyer peered at the awaiting family through his spectacles and began, “David Hanback has granted Chloe 50 million dollars to be put in a trust fund to be opened when she is 30. The rest of his estate is to be split among my remaining heirs.” Charles fists clenched. David’s wife had succeeded in her attempts. David had legally adopted Maggie’s sons and now she was receiving three-fourths of David’s estate.Charles stood up and opened his office door, “Get out,” he commanded.
Maggie and her entourage stood up and silently went toward the door, “I will leave now Charles but this is far from over.” She sneered as she walked out of the Hanback estate.
