Singing along loudly to the radio she glanced in the rearview mirror. She applied a fresh coat of lipstick as a smile once again spread across her face, “This is a little obsessive.” Regardless she scampered off to class, ignoring the scenery in an effort to arrive earlier than her normal early. For the second time that week she faced the heavy brown doors and she cautiously opened them. Her eyes scanned the almost vacant room and was relieved to see he was not there, yet. Placing her books down on a chair she rushed off to get her diet coke. Somewhat calmed after her caffeine fix, she slowly entered the lecture hall and stopped dead in her tracks; there he was, his hair and body was unmistakable, even from the back. She walked in what seemed slow motion toward her seat and a gasp escaped her, he was sitting next to her stuff. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized she would have to pass by him. She neared him, stomach fluttering, she knew it was crazy to be this nervous about a guy but she couldn’t contain herself. She had never seen a more gorgeous guy. “Excuse me,” her voice was barely audible but he moved his legs to the side allowing her to squeeze by. There she sat, arms barley touching and she wondered how she would manage to concentrate in class.
Professor Orens was lecturing about history yet all Chloe heard was a bunch of gibberish. He was seated next to her, not a seat away, and there were plenty of empty chairs. She chewed nervously on her pen while acutely aware of the presence next to her. Her eyes, no matter how hard she avoided, kept glancing sideways taking in his blond hair and piercing blue eyes. Her gaze fell to his muscles that twitched as he feverishly attempted to take notes. A pause in the lecture brought Chloe back to the present and her eyes fell to her empty paper. “Stop it Chloe, he will think you are crazy to be staring at him like that, just say something,” she scolded herself while she attempted to pay attention.
After an eternity class was over and she packed her bag ready to leave. She took a deep breath prepared to make her introductions as she spun slowly. Her eyes gaped open when she discovered he was no longer beside her.
