Alison and Rafe stood still, their hands still joined, unable to explain the electricity coursing through their bodies and the erie fimiliarity that came when looking into the others eyes. Alison flashed to her dream and smiled, the same filiarity she felt with "dream guy" was now present with Lucy's cousin, Rafe.
"Um guys, you can come back now." Lucy smiled at the two as she tried desperetly to brea them out of hte trance they caused each other. Rafe broke eye contact first and gared at Lucy then at Alison's hand in his, it looked so right, like it was meant to be there. He reluctantly let it go and cleared his throat and she flicked a peice of hair behind her ear, nervously, with her now free hand. "Ok, you know what, I'm such a ditz, Rafe I was gonna show you around this wonderful city, but I have to go meet with Scott and Serena to pick of Christina But oh, wow, genious idea, which I get very often, Alison, why don't you take my bestest cousin around and show him the sights, where to go to be seen and what not."
"Lucy...I..." Alison stammered
"Thanks, you're a doll, I'll see you later couisn have fun you two, Ta." Lucy waved and blew a kiss to Rafe as she grabbed her purse and went out the door."
"Ta." Alison muttered. "Well it looks like it's just the two of us now."
"I could think of much worse company."
"Yeah, so where to take you."
"Oh, you don't have to..."
"Lucy would have my head if I didn't do as she asked. Plus I have nothing better to do. I mean hanging out with you is a step up from being alone in my room watching soap operas."
"Only one step?" He gave her a puppy dog look and it made her smile.
"Maybe 2." Rafe laughed.
"So we're going?"
"Yup, my cars out front. I just don't know where to start"
"I'm kinda hungary."
"Oooh, we have great places to go. We could go to Kelly's, they have the best chilie in like the world. Or the Recovery Room is always nice, if you'd rather just a burger or something, they are tops."
"Whatever you want."
"Recovery Room, that way we can show you off, thats where most of us usually hang out, besides I know the owner."
"Well then, lets go." They shared a smile and he held the door open for her as they left.
They sat there just looking at each other over there plate of burgers and fries.
"So, where are you from and how did you come to be in Port Charles?" Alison asked.
"Don't waste any time do you?"
"Hey I'm just trying to get to know you. If we are going to hang out today, than I'd like to get to know you."
"Fine, I'm from Transylvania."
"Wow, that's...wow."
"Yeah, it's not really known for it's charm and atmosphere, but well it's home."
"And how you came to be here?"
"I came to find Lucy, my cousin. She's the only family I have left." He got a far away sad look in his eyes.
"I'm sorry if I brought up any bad memories, I'm really sorry."
"No, no, don't be. So I guess it's my turn huh?"
"You're turn?"
"Well if you are going to get to know me, then don't I deserve to get to know you?"
"I guess, it's only fair. Ask away."
"How do you know Lucy?"
"She's married to my best friend's father."
"Simple enough."
"You are gonna love it here with Lucy, she's a great person, a little high spirited sometimes, but she's cool."
"High spirited, that's a good word for her." Rafe laughed and Alison joined in. "You have such a beautiful smile." She bit her lip shyly and looked down at her plate.
"Well, what else do you want to do with our day?"
"Where else is good?"
"Well there's the mall or maybe the park, the park is always great this time of year. I love to just walk around, it brings me some sort of peace."
"Sounds great."
"Well I'm full." She threw down a fry and he nodded.
"So we're off."
"Yeah, let me just pay and we'll be off."
"No, I'll get this."
"No, this is my treat, you are new in town, I'm supposed to be showing you a good time."
"Hey, no arguing, let me do this." He got up and went over to the counter to pay. She shook her head in disbelief and watched him, a small smile played on her lips as she looked at him. She couldn't wait to get to know him a little better.
Paige looked down upon them grinning ear to ear. She knew she could count on Lucy to notice the attraction between Rafe and Alison. Everything seemed to be going well a little to well. Her smile faded as she let that sink in, nothing worked out this quickly and beautifully. Something was going to happen, she could feel it.
"Oh, geez, I left my jacket inside." Rafe exclaimed as they exited the resteraunt.
"Well, you go and get it and I'll pull the car around."
"Cool." They exchanged smiles before parting there seperate ways. He went inside grabbed his jacket and quickly exited. He watched her as she went to the car, she could feel his eyes on her and turned around to smile at him once more. That smile filled him up inside and everything seemed perfect, they were so blissfully unaware of everything but each other. Suddenly a bright light came out of nowhere Alison turned around.
"No!!!!!!!" Rafe shouted, but it was too late, Alison didn't see the car until it was too late.
