Rafe walked around the lighthouse humming some random happy tune as he poured himself a cup of coffee. He glanced at the clock to see it was 6am, he smiled as he thought of seeing Alison in only a few short hours. She said first thing in the morning, but he wasn't sure she meant this early. He was just settling down on the couch with his coffee as a light knock came on the door. He shrugged and got up to answer it. He looked through the peep hole and felt his breath catch in his throat. He quickly ran his fingers through his hair making sure he was presentable, although he had spent the past hour getting ready. He opened the door and smiled at the person on the other side.
"Good Morning." She giggled.
"Hey when you say first thing, you mean first thing don't you?"
"I couldn't wait to see you again, so I took a chance that you'd be up. I didn't wake anyone else did I?"
"Doubtful, come on in." Rafe stepped aside allowing Alison to enter. He turned his back to her breifly to shut the door and when he turned around again he was met with her lips on his, the shock slowly faded to passion. She bit her lip as they pulled apart.
"I've been wanting to do that since after I left last night." She said shyly.
"So have I."
"Anyway, what do you want to do today?"
"Another day seeing the sights with my favorite tour guide sounds nice."
"Another day like yesterday? That sounds great."
"It does doesn't it?"
"Well Rafe Kovich, why don't we get an early start on the day."
"Wait, there's just one more thing I want to do?"
"What?" The question was soon answered as he pulled her to him for another breathtaking passionate kiss.
"Ok, now we can go."
"Uh huh." She nodded and smiled at him as he quickly scribbled a note for Lucy and left.
"Ok I give where are we?" Rafe said as they pulled to a spot in the middle of nowhere.
"Um, I have no clue, I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere."
"You seemed to know where you were going."
"I thought I did, but this doesn't look like the mall does it?"
"No, it looks like the woods."
"Well, why not go exploring? I've never been here before, it'll be an adventure." Rafe had to laugh at her eagerness.
"I'd go anywhere with you."
"Well come on Angel Boy." She got out of the car and he followed. They quickly joined hands and she layed her head on his shoulder as they walked aimlessly. A few moment they happened upon an old barn. "Oh Rafe, look."
"It's a barn."
"Yeah, but it looks so quaint and rustic, lets go in."
"Lead the way." She opened the door to the barn and suddenly something hit her, almost like she knew this place. She felt suddenly warm and safe, like she had when she and Rafe first met.
"Do you feel that?"
"What?"
"This place, it feels positively magical."
"Magical is anywhere you are." She blushed slightly and kissed him softly on the lips. She let go of his hand to look around and he walked in another direction. "Um, what are we looking for?"
"I don't know, just looking. I like this place, it feels almost like home."
"Yeah this place is just like the Barrington mansion isn't it?" He quipped.
"Not that home, silly, it just feels like I could stay here forever. Well, like if it had indoor plumming and a kitchen and stuff."
"Yeah." Rafe tested the stability of a beam and somethig caught his eye. A small heart with the words "Alison and Rafe" carved in them. He traced the words with his fingers and then stepped back in confusion.
"Rafe, what is it?"
"Um, come look at this." He pointed to the carving.
"Oh my god, that's our names, you didn't just do that with your powers did you?" She looked at him in awe.
"No, honestly I didn't do that. Isn't it strange?"
"Maybe it's just a coincidence, someone with our names."
"Yeah cuz Rafe is such a popular name."
"Hey, maybe it's a sign, from, you know." She glanced up to the heavens and positioned herself in his embrace. He couldn't help, but smile down at her. He stroked her cheek and kissed her temple before pulling her in closer.
"Yeah, that's got to be what it is." He placed another kiss on the top of her head and then layed his head atop of hers.
"Ed, why hasn't it happened yet?" Paige turned to her boss.
"What?"
"You can tell that they are falling hard for each other, why haven't his memories returned.
"Because, they haven't fallen completely. True they are on there way, and they are so close, but they aren't 100% in love yet."
"I guess it was too much to hope that they could recover there love that quickly huh?"
"Ah, dear Paige, you are such a hopeless romantic."
"Is there anything we can do to help them?"
"Just have faith in the power of their love and they will find it again."
"I just want Alison to be happy and Rafe has been so good for her. Alison is my family and there is nothing I won't do for my family."
"I know." Ed turned around and looked down at the couple, but he focused on Rafe. "Trust me Paige, I know."
