"So you're gonna help me find my destiny?"

"Of course, what are friends for."

"I'm really glad you showed up at Lucy's when you did."

"You know, so am I." She pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and gave him a small smile. "It's getting late, maybe we should start heading back."

"What about my destiny?" He gave her a pout and she giggled then rolled her eyes.

"I think we need to talk to Lucy. You said your boss told you she would lead you to it right?"

"Yeah, that's all he told me."

"No other hint? Is it an action, a thing, or a person?"

"I have know clue."

"What happens when you find it?"

"I don't know that either, I guess my journey will be complete."

"And you'll have to go back?"

"I guess."

"Well then is it wrong to hope that it takes a long time to find it?"

"No, not wrong, in fact I was thinking the same thing, impractical, but not wrong."

"I know, it's important that you find out what it is, and I guess we should go to Lucy and see what, if anything she knows or can find out. She has a way of knowing things that others don't and she is pretty handy with tarot cards."

"That's why you came over wasn't it? To get a reading?"

"Yeah, but that's not important anymore."

"What's not important? Come on I told you my secret."

"No you didn't, I had to guess."

"Well, whatever, you know my secret, can't I know yours?"

"It's stupid."

"Please." He gave her puppy dog eyes that just made her heart melt, she knew she couldn't deny those eyes.

"Fine, you want to know about me here it is. I grew up a lonely child, I had, like, no friends and my family well basically children were seen and not heard and in my case rarely seen. My parent's weren't around much, so for the most part I was alone, but I didn't mind. Still there was something missing and I didn't know what until I met this guy named Jamal. I knew that what was missing was someone to love, really love and have them love you back. What we had was amazing and incredible, but like all good things it ended. After a few years together his ex girlfriend showed up and ruined everything, we couldn't seem to get past it. When we broke up I went back to being alone. I tried to go numb, but it never seemed to work, I couldn't go back to the person I was before him. I felt so empty, and in a way I still am. But last night I had this dream, it was, indescribeable. There was this guy, I couldn't see his face, but I knew him and he knew me. When he touched me it was like a fire lit in my heart and I was complete, more complete then I ever felt before in my life. He was gentle and kind and loved me so much and I in turn loved him heart and soul."

"But you couldn't see his face?"

"I told you it was stupid."

"No, it's not."

"When I woke up, I felt this wave of contentment wash over me and I wasn't quite so empty. That's why I went to Lucy, to see if maybe her cards or something could tell me who that guy was. I would give anything to feel that way in real life, not just in a dream."

"You'll find someone who will love you like that, I have no doubt in my mind."

"Do you like know, know, like are you omnipitent or something?"

"No, you just deserve it is all. You deserve someone that can fill you up inside and someone to hold you and never let you go."

"So do you."

"No, I don't."

"How can you say that, you are a great guy."

"No, I'm not even really alive, I'm just an Angel who fell from the sky and was sent on a mission."

"Well, you know, while you're here, you should make the most of it."

"Like?"

"Experience everything that you didn't get to while you were alive, this is you're second chance, Rafe, you should take it."

"So are you going to help me experience life?"

"But of course, I'll be there every step of the way, as long as you want me there."

"Oh I want you there. I have a feeling that our connection, it's not coincidence, maybe Lucy's not the only one who will lead me to my destiny."

"Maybe not, speaking of Lucy."

"Yeah, let's get going." Rafe stood up and held out his hand to Alison who put her small hand in his as he helped her up, stumbling slightly only to be pulled into his strong arms. Her heart beat rapidly as she felt the heat of his embrace. She felt his breath quicken and she lifted her head as there eyes met, faces each inches apart. His tounge darted out to wet his lips, his eyes focusing on hers.

*********

"Come on, Rafe, kiss her." Paige whispered hopefully as she watched the scene unfold. She felt as if she was watching some Soap Opera and her favorite characters were about to embark on a wonderful romance.

"Paige, you have to stop this." Paige turned around startled.

"But look at them, Ed, how can you not want them to find perfect happiness with each other. There type of love only comes around once in a lifetime. They have to find their way back to each other, they just have to." She turned back around to watch the two down on earth who seemed frozen in each others arms.

************

"We're supposed to be leaving." Rafe said slowly his breathing growing more and more shallow with each word.

"Are we?" Alison put her hands on his chest and then moved to encircle his neck, never taking her gaze off his hazel eyes. His face inched closer towards her until there lips were a whisper away from each other. Alison closed the last little space between them as she pressed her lips to his in a kiss that can only be described as magical. She felt like she had when she had woken up after the accident, only more. She felt peaceful, complete and it was all so fimiliar. They pulled apart slowly neither wanting to lose contact with the other. Her eyes fluttered open and they smiled at each other.

Paige cast Ed an "I told you so" look and triumphantly walked past him.
