Authors Note: Ok, just something I wrote sorta in my head during down time at work...so forgive me...it's mostly just dialogue. Enjoy...

"Angel, do you love me?"

"What?"

"Do you love me?"

"How am I supposed to answer that?"

"Honesty usually works best."

"Well you know I do."

"I mean the beyond friend friend kind. I mean the give it all up just to be next to the person. Do anything for them, love them with all your heart and soul love."

"Do you love me like that?"

"I asked you first bud."

"Why this sudden questioning?"

"Guys."

"What about guys?"

"Guys never want to admit how they feel."

"Well maybe they would if the girls weren't hounding them every 3 seconds about his feelings."

"Maybe the girl wants to know."

"What would be so damn important that she would have to know right this instant."

"Maybe both the girl and guy know that she's not gonna live forever, it's just something they never talk about. Maybe she just want's the guy to say it."

"What if she already knows the answer."

"It doesn't matter, she want's to hear it. It's much different then just knowing it, hearing the words said outloud, maybe it just means everything to her."

"What if he's not ready to face those feelings."

"Why wouldn't he be?"

"Maybe he's afraid of rejection."

"What if he knows the girl feels the same way?"

"Maybe he was hurt before and doesn't want to go through it again. Maybe if he voices his feelings then when he loses the girl it will be even more painful."

"But wouldn't he feel guilty about not letting her know before hand?"

"Maybe he knows that's one of the reasons she's hung on this long and if he voices those feelings he's afraid she won't have a reason to live."

"What if the reason she's living is not for the words themselves, but the guy behind the words?"

"Then why does she need to hear them?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"Because what if she has no control on how long she has left and all the waiting for those words is in vain and she leaves without hearing them?"

"Oh."

"Why would the guy want to hide those feelings since the girl has made it obvious that the she reciprocates?"

"Maybe he's scared."

"Of What?"

"Everything. What if those feelings will cause more pain then pleasure because they both know that even if they both feel the same way there is nothing they can do about it?"

"What if she doesn't care?"

"There is no way he would ever put her in jeopardy even if that means keeping all those feelings hidden."

"Even if it means she leaves without knowing the truth."

"What if he promises to whisper those words right before she leaves."

"What if he's not around then."

"Oh he will be."

"What if she knows its soon, she can feel it?"

"He won't leave her side and he'll fight it if he can. He doesn't want to lose her and will stop at nothing to make sure that doesn't happen."

"What if he can't stop it?

"Maybe he hasn't thought that far ahead."

"Maybe he should."

"Yeah, maybe." Silence.

"Angel?"

"Yeah?"

"Does the guy love the girl?"

"Do you even have to ask?"

"She would like to hear it ya know?"

"I know, but she'll have to wait."

"Until?"

"She can no longer hang on."

"So basically a girl has be on deaths door to get a guy to admit his feelings for her. That's unexceptable."

"And what are you gonna do about it?"

"Angel,"

"Cordy?"

"The girl loves the guy more then anything in this world."

"The guy still isn't relenting."

"Why not?"

"Because, he knows that's the reason the girl has held on this long and the thought of being without her is unbearable, he wants to prolonge her life as long as possible and if that means giving her a reason to live then so be it."

"Has he thought that maybe his unsaid feelings are making her fade quicker?"

"Why would that be?"

"Becuase everyday he leaves it unsaid the more doubts she has that her feelings will ever be reciprocated."

"She never has to doubt his feelings."

"Ok so he's hinted around them and has done everything short of saying them, but it's still not the same. It only confuses her."

Very Long Silence

"Cordy, just how much does she want to hear those words."

"More than anything in this world, more than her life itself."

"There you go thats why he won't say them."

"Please, Angel, Please."

Sobs.

"Cordy don't cry."

"Please."

"Don't, you can't."

"Please."

"No...it's too soon."

"Please."

"Don't leave me."

"Angel, please."

"I love you, i love you so much, in this life I haven't loved anyone as much as you and I don't think I ever could again. Just don't leave me. Don't leave me."

"I love you too."

Silence.
