Don't Get Your Back Up
She sits alone in the living room and takes another sip of her coffee. She wishes despritely that her life was less complicated, that everything could be normal. She wishes for what she know she can never have, but how do you stop from wishing? The phone rings and she holds her breath, hoping against hope that it's him.
"Hello?"
"Joey's Pizza."
"Wrong Number." She smiles and hangs up the phone as she goes to her closet to find something to wear. She feels like a school girl, but she can't help it, she can't help the way she feels. She trys to tell herself it's too soon after Danny and that it's too risky, but then the image of his smile would come to mind and totally wipe away those doubts. She got in her car and drove to the warehouse, their usual meeting spot.
