Bo and Candy Cane make their little friend
Amina Daniellee’s dream come true.
Candy says: Bo you sure got a lot of neat
stuff up here in your Uncle Jesse’s attic.
Bo says: Yup, Here’s Luke’s baby clothes and a
picture of Uncle Jesse and Aunt Martha. She died two years ago.
Candy says: Look there’s a trunk over there,
Lets take a look and see what’s inside.
Bo says: It’s a gold party dress…. It must
have belonged to Momma.
Candy says:
Look Bo it’s a pearl necklace and earrings.
Bo says: Do you like them? If you do you can
have them since you are my future one and only forever and ever wife you know.
Candy says: Bo, you’re the sweetest future
forever one and only husband that a little girl could ever have.
Bo says: You can wear them at the dance next
Saturday night, you’ll be the most beautiful girl there!
Candy blushes and says: You cute little sweet
talker you.
Amina Daniellee says: Momma, What’s wrong?
Tara says: I’ve lost my job… We’ll be fine
I’ll find another one, I’m sure.
Amina can tell that her momma is trying to
hide how scared that she is.
Then Tara says how about a little supper Mac
& Cheese okay?
Amina Daniellee’s eyes light up as she says:
That’s one of my favorites.
Jesse Duke says: You two younguns get down
here if you want supper.
We’re having country ham, pinto beans, mashed
tadders, and biscuits.
Bo says: We’ll be right there, Uncle Jesse.
He says: Hey guys I told you that Amina
Daniellee was nothing but what trash. Her mom went to the store and couldn’t
pay her bill.
Amina says: I’m not white trash.. Momma’ll get
another job, she promised me.
Candy says: Hughie Hogg, you old meanie! Just
because a person has hard times, don’t mean they are white trash.
Bo says: That’s right, Uncle Jesse always says
that the hard times that you go through in life will make you strong. Amina
your our friend and so is your mom and if you ever need anything will
always be here for you won’t we, Candy?
Candy smiles and says: We sure will!
Hughie says: So Amina what you wearing at the
dance Saturday night..
Oh that’s right you can’t dance.
Amina Daniellee starts to cry and says: Bo,
Candy could you please take me home?
Bo says: We sure will, cutie.
Candy says: Hughie Hogg, one of these days
your gonna take a one way trip right into Hazzard pond.
Tara says: what a time to be out of work that
dance is Saturday night and I had this really pretty pink dress picked out but
now I can’t afford it.
Jesse says: I could let you have one of
Daisy’s but it would be too big.
But there is something I can help you with and
that’s your store bill.
Tara says: Jesse, I can’t take your money
you’ve got three kids to support.
Jesse
smiles and says: Tara, once you’re the friend of a duke you’re a friend for
life. And us Dukes believe in being there for our friends.
Tara says: Jesse you Dukes are truly a god
send.
Candy says: You know Bo I’d love to do something
really nice for Amina Daniellee after Hughie Hogg was so mean to her.
Bo says: Me too
Candy’s eyes light up and she says: Bo are you
thinking what I’m thinking?
Bo says: I sure am, sweetie.
Tara says: Amina Daniellee, I’m sorry but I
just couldn’t afford anything new for the dance tonight. I’m so sorry, baby.
Amina Daniellee says: It’s okay, Momma. I
don’t need to go to that old dance anyway.
Tara says: Look it’s Bo and Candy. Wonder why
they are not at the dance?
Amina says: I don’t know
Candy says:
Hey Miss Tara. Amina, we got something for you.
They show Amina and her mom the big box and
the dress inside.
Tara says: It’s beautiful where did this come
from?
Bo says: It belonged to my Momma. We thought
that Amina would like to wear it at the dance!
Amina says: Can I really it’s so beautiful!
Candy and Tara helped Amina into the beautiful
gold dress and fixed her hair
Candy says: It’s a perfect fit.
Bo says: WOW Amina, you look beautiful.
The little girl blushes and says: Why thank
you, Bo.
Hughie Hogg says: My My, it’s that poor white
trash Dukes and their friend Amina Daniellee.
Bo says: Knock it off, Hughie.
Candy says: Amina, you’re the most beautiful
girl here.
Amina says: I wish that I could be like you
Candy and I could dance.
Candy says: Hey, dancing is not all that
cracked up to be.
Then a little boy named Joey says: Miss Amina
you sure do look pretty tonight.
Amina says: You really think so.. Oh I mean
thank you.
Joey says: I sure do your even more beautiful
then bewitched.
Amina says: Bo and Candy Cane, you’ve made
this the happiest day of my life.
Candy says: You’re our friend and that means
we’ll always be here for you not matter what, pinky swear!
All three hold out there pinkies.
Well a few days later Amina Daniellee's mom
got a job working at the Boar’s Nest.
Amina
Daniellee and Joey were head over heels in puppy love.
Bo says: Candy, that sure was sweet of you
letting Amina Daniellee wear Momma’s fancy dress.
Candy says: Hey, she’s a good buddy and it
made me happy to make her happy.
Bo says: I love you Candy Cane
Candy says: You sure now how to sweet talk a
girl.
Then they share a tender kiss and a sweet
promise of forever.
