Candy Cane Fights For Her Man

“You’re getting to be a big boy,” Bo said to his son. “One of these days all the girls will be after you.”

“Darling, he’s only three months old. He’s got a long time before he has to worry about things like that.”

“I know that he’s young but he’s a Duke and us Dukes start early. We fell in love when I was five and you were four.”

“That’s true sweetie, when you ready we’ll have supper.”

“What are we having tonight, Candy?”

“Pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans and chocolate cream pie for dessert.”

“That sounds great.” Bo comes over to his wife. “I love you and the life we’re made together.”

“I feel the same way,” They kiss deeply. “You eat plenty of that chocolate so you’ll be frisky later.”

“I sure will lover,” Bo replied.

Daddy, are we going to baby cousin Jesse’s birthday Saturday?” Honeybee asked.

“We sure are.”

“Can we take Fluffy and Buffy with us, so they won’t get lonesome?” Tammy asked.

“I’m afraid not, little darlings. Rosco is gonna have his new bulldog Jefferson Davis Hogg the second and he don’t like cats.”

“Okay, they can stay and protect the house,” Honeybee said.

“Let’s eat before all this food gets cold,” Candy commented.

Bo gave her a knowing smile.

Meanwhile at the Hazzard County Mental Hospital, Doctor Jamion is with a patient. “Alice, it seems the funding has run out for you to stay here so tomorrow you’ll be free to go. Please take my advice, stay away from Bo Duke. He’s a happily married man with three children.”

“Doctor, I’m all better now,” Alice said. She thinks to herself. Bo Duke, this time you’ll be mine.

Later that evening,

“Bo, how much pie did you eat tonight?”

“Just one little piece, Candy.”

“It sure worked.” They fell asleep in each other’s arms.

“Bo, Candy and the kids are coming. What about Daisy and Enos?” Karen asked.

“Yes, they are. Cooter and Jeannie too.”

“We’ll have to get more food.”

“Make me a list and I’ll get it.”

“Luke Duke, I love you.”

“Believe me the feeling is mutual.” They kissed. Luke smiled. “I better get going or we just might have another little one on the way.”

“Bo, it’s time to go over to Karen and Luke’s.”

“I’ll get the van ready.”

“Come on girls,” Candy looked to the girls with their kittens.

“Okay, momma.” Honeybee and Tammy said.

“Little Bo is such a cutie,” Karen said when they family came into the house.

“He’s a sweet gift from God above,” Candy replied.

“I wish that Uncle Jesse could see us now married and all these kids,” Bo sighed.

“I’m sure he can. Every time I look at little Jesse, I’m reminded of him.” Luke looked at his cousin. “It’s nice out, why don’t we take a swim while the ladies get stuff together.”

“Can our hearts stand to look at those handsome hunks?” Karen asked as the boys were walking away.

“The dark haired one’s kinda of cute but I think I’ll take that blond home tonight,” Candy hollered.

“You’d better say that.” Bo said as he turned back to Candy, they kissed.

“That’s my big stud muffin,” Candy giggled.

“Come on love god, let’s go for a swim.” Luke pulled his cousin away.

“This water feels great,” Bo said a few minutes later.

“It sure does,” Luke agreed.

Bo felt something grab at his leg. “Luke, something big and mean got me.”

“She’s mean alright, it’s Cousin Alice.”

“Bo, I’ve come back for you. You don’t need that little munchkin you married and those three little brats,” Alice said.

“Turn me loose now or I’ll knock you out.” Bo yelled.

Alice, leave Bo alone. He doesn’t love you and he never has,” Luke said.

Candy and Karen come to see what is going on.

“You leave my husband alone or I swear to God, I’ll run you over,” Candy warned.

“Bo is mine. He belongs with me, not some sawed off runt in a wheelchair.” Alice got out of the water.

“You can’t talk to Candy Cane like that,” Bo yelled.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be alright, Bo.” Candy smiled. “Alice, it’s true that I’m in a wheelchair, but believe me when I say Bo and I are married in every way.”

“Little Bo and me are the proof,” Honeybee smiled.

Rosco and Enos walk up. “Come on, you’re going back to the hospital, Alice.”

“Alright, I’ll go but before I do, I just want one kiss from those delicious lips,” Alice said.

“The only woman I kiss is my sweet Candy Cane,” Bo replied.

“Sweetie if it will get her out of our hair, I give you permission to give her one kiss.” Candy said.

“Alright, anything for you, darling.” Bo agreed and walked over to Alice. He put his hand on her cheek, flashed the legendary Duke smile and kissed her. Everyone shook their heads as she fell to the ground.

Cousin Alice awoke from a coma that night with a big smile on her face about the same time Bo and Candy were getting ready for bed.

“Come over here, hot lips.”

“Anything for you, sweetheart.”

Folks, I reckon y’all know what happens next.
