Bo and Candy Cane Save Christmas

Boss Hogg says Rosco that truck is going to be carrying all kinds of valuables and I've just got to get my hands on them.

Rosco says but Boss it's Christmas. Couldn’t you just forget your crooked ways just this once it's the time of year for good will toward all men you know.

Boss says Rosco P. Coltrane I don't give a hang about Christmas, just about lining my own pockets and if you breathe a word of this to anyone I'll divorce your fat sister Lulu and send her home packing back home to you.

Rosco starts to say something then he shakes his head wondering how someone so wealthy could still be so mean and greedy.

The phone rings at the Duke farm and Jesse says if it isn’t my old fishing buddy Alvin A. Wentworth.

Alvin says Jesse you old moonshiner how are you doing? I heard that you took in three younguns

Jesse says I took in Bo after Jackson and Ginia got killed, Luke after his momma died and my sister Elizabeth Anne's baby girl Daisy just a few months ago there a lot of work but after Martha's passing I don't know what I would have done if I didn’t have these kids. Bo's seven, Luke's eleven and Daisy's six.

Alvin says Jesse, the reason that I’ve called is to ask you a huge favor

Jesse says when your a friend of a duke your a friend for life so you just name it

Alvin says I've got this load of Christmas stuff but no driver to deliver it to Hazzard-

Jesse says Alvin I'd be glad to help you out. I'll be there first thing in the morning.

Alvin says I knew that I could always count on you old buddy and then the two old friends say good-bye.

Jesse says Luke, you and Bo got all that wood in

Luke says yes sir we sure do. Candy Cane helped us

Bo with a mile wide grin on his face says she sure did she's the greatest my little Candy Cane.

Candy says no problem it's the least that I can do for my future uncle-in-law

Bo nods his head and says were getting married someday you know.

Jesse says Luke all of the Christmas cookies should be done in a little while so

I'll start on the fruitcakes

Candy says momma said that she'll be glad to help you make the pies and get Christmas dinner started

Daisy says I'll help a little too.

Bo says me and Candy will go and help you and Luke.

Jesse says well then kids lets get to work so that we can get up good and early tomorrow morning so that everyone in Hazzard can have a great Christmas.

So Jesse, Luke Bo, Daisy and Candy make all kinds of Christmas treats and Angela made the pies

and told Jesse that she'd make the rest of the Christmas dinner early.

That next morning Bo says Hey look, it's Candy and her mom. Jesse says that’s

great son they’re just in time for a great big old country breakfast of

sausage, ham, eggs and home fries.

Bo lets out a great big yee haw

Sleepy eyed Luke says Bo could you keep it down.

Angela come through the door says my lord it's cold out there

Candy says Bo you better bundle up good so you don't catch your death of cold.

Bo says I've got my coat and my long johns on

Candy says that should keep you warm.

Jasper Davenport, Cooter's daddy says Boss, I wish that you wouldn’t make me do this to a good and decent man like Jesse Duke. He’s got those three little ones and if anything ever happened to him I'd feel plum terrible.

Boss Hogg says Davenport if you don't want to lose that shack that I hold the mortgage on you'll do as I say and fix that truck of Jesse's so that he won't get back to Hazzard until after Christmas. Then when he does get back I'll bring him up on charges for trying to steal all of those Christmas goodies.

Then Jasper says to himself one of these days Boss Hogg you'll get yours.

Jesse says good morning Jasper, I've come to get some gas so I can bring back the

Christmas deliveries.

Then as Jesse was about to leave Jasper says Hey Jesse wait, there’s something I have to tell you.

Jesse says What is it Jasper?

Jasper sees Boss Hogg out of the corner of his eyes. I just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas.

Jesse says Merry Christmas to you to see you tonight for Christmas dinner

Jasper whispers to himself I sure hope so.

Then Jesse says come on kids we've got work to do

Luke says here we are right here Uncle Jesse.

Bo and Candy says were here too

Angela says when you get back we'll have a good old fashioned country Christmas.

Jesse says Alvin it's so good to see you

Alvin says Jesse it's good to see you. These must be your younguns let me guess that's Luke and Luke reaches out his hand and says please to meet you sir.

Alvin this cute little rascal must be Jackson's little boy he looks just like his daddy

Bo says nice to meet you sir this is Candy Cane she's my future forever one and only wife and Candy giggles and blushes.

Alvin says Jesse, I'll never be able to repay you for helping me out like this

Jesse says like I told you once you're the friend of a Duke you're a friend for life.

Alvin says how would you like to come in for lunch before you get to work my wife Hattie Mea fixed a great big pot of beef stew, home made biscuits and chocolate cake

Bo lets out a great big yee haw.

Jesse says well I guess we'll be having lunch first

After lunch, Jesse and Luke start loading the truck

Bo and Candy help to pack the boxes.

Luke says everything’s all packed and ready to go

Jesse says Alvin see why I'm so proud of my two boys

Bo says Uncle Jesse, don't forget Candy. She’s my future one and only forever wife you know.

Then Jesse pats the little boy on the head and smiles.

Three hours later Jesse and the kids start back home to Hazzard.

Then Jesse notices that the truck seems a little sluggish and says Lord I don't know if we'll make it back to Hazzard or not in time for Christmas but something is wrong with this truck.

Suddenly the breaks go and Jesse says hold on kids and we'd all better say a prayer and the truck crashes into a huge oak tree.

Candy says Bo are you okay?

Bo says yes but look Uncle Jesse is out cold and he’s bleeding and Luke is out cold too.

Candy says we've got to get them out of this truck before everything blows

Bo says okay lets get out Uncle Jesse and hurry back and get Luke.

Ginia says Jackson they'll never make in time if we don't help them.

Jackson says I’ll help them get Jesse out and you get Luke.

Then Bo says I got him by one foot

Candy says I've got him by the other.

Then Jackson grabs a hold of Jesse and pulls him to safety

Bo says I never knew I was that strong.

Candy says must be all of them brownies you ate for lunch

Then Candy says Look, Luke's out of the truck he must have woke up.

Luke says my God we've got to get help. You kids stay here while I try to go and get some help.

Candy says Luke you stay here and let me and Bo go. I know where there’s a gas station.

Luke says your just two little kids you stay put while I go for help. You'd just be in the way

Bo starts to say but Luke then Luke gives both Bo and Candy and stern look and says I said stay put.

Hours pass and there’s still no sign of Luke or anyone else and Bo says with tears in his eyes I hope that Luke comes back soon.

Candy says if he don't we'll have to go and get help ourselves.

Bo says what about Uncle Jesse?

Candy says well let me think I know I've seem momma drive zillions of times.

Bo says lets get Uncle Jesse in the truck.

Ginia says Jackson you go and find help and I'll help Candy drive

Jackson says I’m on my way darling after getting Jesse in the back of the truck and tying him down.

Candy says Bo sweetie I'll do the driving and you handle the breaks

Jackson says come on Luke where are you? and then he hears a noise and he sees an unconscious Luke Duke.

Jackson says Ginia I've found him. You help Candy drive fast cause I don't know how much longer that Luke will last

Ginia says your wish is my command.

Candy starts the truck and as she drives

Bo says Candy you sure drive great.

Candy blushes and says thank you cutie then says Bo I think I see Luke

Bo says is he alright?

Candy says he’s a little groggy. Lets go and get him.

Then the two children get Luke into the back of the truck

Candy says we better get going cutie

Meanwhile back in Hazzard

Boss Hogg says see I told you folks what good for nothing those no accounts Dukes are. See Jesse stole all of those Christmas goodies and sold them.

Rosco says now boss you really don't believe that do you?

Boss Hogg says Rosco shut up.

Rosco finding courage he never knew that he had says Boss this time I won't this may cost me my job but you know deep down in your heart that Jesse Duke is one of the kindness and hardest working men in Hazzard County.

Jasper Davenport says Boss, Rosco's right and I never should have fixed that truck like you asked me to.

Boss Hogg says Jasper you dang blame fool keep your mouth shut or you'll lose that garage.

Rosco says Boss how could you do that to Jesse and those little ones? I'm going to find them or you'll be a big trouble then everyone hears a big bang.

Jasper says my Lord look, it's Jesse

Angela says well that's not him driving it's my Candy.

Rosco helps Candy out of the truck

Bo says be careful Rosco that's my future forever one and only wife you know.

Rosco says Jesse Luke you okay?

Jesse says were fine just shook up, however if it wasn’t for these two younguns I don't know what would have happened.

Rosco says well it looks like a Merry Christmas after all.

Later at the Duke farm, everyone eat and exchanged gifts.

Bo says candy I'm so proud of you you're the best future wife that a little boy could ever had and he gives her a kiss on the check and then he gives her an album by her favorite country music artist Tammy Wynette.

Candy kisses Bo and gives him his present a box full of double chocolate fudge brownies.

Jackson says Ginia it's time to go darling

Ginia says I know and whispers we'll always be watching over you little ones.

Like I've always said, in Hazzard County we believe in happy endings.
