John Logan's work has appeared in books and magazines sold in most countries of the world, including North America, Eastern Europe, Israel and China. His work has been reviewed in the national press and studied at universities in England and Bulgaria. In 2002 he was one of the writers invited from around the world to perform at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. John Logan is the author of two novels called MIKE AND THE LION and ROCKS IN THE HEAD, plus a story collection called BRINGING SOMETHING BACK. These 12 stories and extracts from the novels have been published:
- The Emotion (SECRETS OF A VIEW, an anthology of work by Inverness Writers, 1996)
- Perve Meets Perve (NORTHWORDS, 1998)
- The Day Billy Bear's Mum Sent Him To Sign On (CHAPMAN, 1999)
- Not To Be The First Caught (an extract from the novel ROCKS IN THE HEAD; published in NORTHWORDS, 1999)
- Tortoises and Bats (an extract from the novel ROCKS IN THE HEAD; published in 2000 by Vintage in NEW WRITING 9, the 500 page anthology edited by A L Kennedy and John Fowles, sold in most countries of the world and containing only 5 extracts from novels and only 2 of those extracts by Scottish writers: John Logan and Alan Warner)
- Fat Pig and Thin Oinker (an extract from the novel ROCKS IN THE HEAD; published in NORTHWORDS, 2001)
