Do you have a job? No.

Do you have any formal singing training? Yes. I was under the direction of Mrs. Lulan Hedgemon, vocal director of my high school. I have taken music theory classes and I also know how to sight read music.

Where have you performed before? Everywhere. My performances range from funerals, weddings, talent showcases, and in numerous musicals.

When did you first start to sing? I was three years old when I began to sing.

What is your favorite song to sing? "How Do I Live Without You," by Leann Rhimes.

What is the first concert you went to? MC Hammer!!!

What is the last concert you went to? Barry White!!!

What other talents do you have? I dance, choreograph, and write music.

If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do? I will finish school and become a trauma surgeon.

What are your goals in life? My goals in life are to become successful in whatever I do.

What album would your friends be surprised you own? They wouldn't. We all listen to the same thing.

What is the first CD you ever bought? Tevin Campbell's, "I'm Ready."

What is in your CD player right now? Floetic, "Floetry".

Who is your AMERICAN IDOL? Celine Dion and she isn't American. She's my Canadian Idol. She just happened to get her success in the states.

What is your favorite type of music? I don't have one. I enjoy listening to neo-soul, country, classical, and hip-hop.

Favorite male pop artist? Justin Timberlake.

Favorite female pop artist? Jennifer Lopez.

Favorite album? "Full Moon" by Brandy. She should just have a "Greatest Hits" album.

Who in the music world do you think your style is most like? Me. I'm in the music world.

Most embarrassing moment? When I forgot the words to a song in summer camp.

If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have? To dance, but that's already one of my talents. Maybe playing the guitar.

What has been your proudest moment in life so far? Making American Idol.

What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL? An icon who loves to express themselves through their voices and personality.

Why do you want to be an AMERICAN IDOL? Because I possess that special "something" you find in wonderful artists.

Do you think the audition process was fair? Yes.

Who is your favorite judge and why? Randy Jackson. Because from day one he always gave me helpful advice.

Who is your least favorite judge and why? None of them were my least favorite.

What advice do you have for other hopefuls? Be confident and don't let them see you sweat.

What would people be surprised to learn about you? That I'm a very shy person.

Who did you think was going to win last season? Tamyra Gray.

If you could be a performer from any era, which would you choose and why? The Motown era. Those people owned their voices and demanded respect.
