Do you have a job? I currently wait tables at El Chico Tex-Mex restaurant.

Do you have any formal singing training? I have sung in choir and vocal groups in school since first grade.

Where have you performed before? School plays throughout grade school, talent shows, concerts, private Christmas parties and birthday parties, weddings, funerals.

When did you first start to sing? I have been singing since I was seven years old. My first solo performance I did in fourth grade. I sung and danced to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

What is your favorite song to sing? An original song called "Close To You."

What is the first concert you went to? "The Living Christmas Tree."

What is the last concert you went to? Mine.

What other talents do you have? I am a remarkable dancer. I have excellent acting skills. I play basketball, football and soccer. I'm a great improviser. I write and have written a zillion songs.

If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do? I will continue my dream.

What are your goals in life? I want to be known as the greatest entertainer of all time. I would love to do "everything," literally. I would also like to be the president of the U.S. one day. Anything's possible.

What album would your friends be surprised you own? Prince - "The Hits. Vol. 1".

What is the first CD you ever bought? "Destiny" by The Jackson 5.

What is in your CD player right now? "Never Say Never" by Brandy.

Who is your AMERICAN IDOL? My mother. She is diagnosed with bipolar disease, but she continues to fight it and is getting stronger every day.

What is your favorite type of music? I love to dance to hip hop. I love to sing R&B and pop. Occasionally rock.

What is your favorite song? "Everything I Do, I Do For You" by Bryan Adams.

Favorite female pop artist? Brandy.

Favorite album? "My Thoughts" by Avant.

Who in the music world do you think your style is most like? I am inspired by every artist. Too long to list. I am an artist myself and would like to claim my own style.

Most embarrassing moment? My mother coming to my junior high and paddling me in front of the principal.

If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have? ESP.

What has been your proudest moment in life so far? Making it to the top 32 of AMERICAN IDOL.

What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL? The search for a superstar.

Why do you want to be an AMERICAN IDOL? I feel it is the key to my destiny.

Do you think the audition process was fair? Yes. Very professional.

Who is your favorite judge and why? Paula Abdul. Her beauty is overwhelming and her comments are appropriate.

Who is your least favorite judge and why? They are all very professional people, so no judge is not a favorite.

What advice do you have for other hopefuls? To keep your head up and never let go of your dreams.

What would people be surprised to learn about you? My life, my attitude towards life, the way I live my life.

Who did you think was going to win last season? Kelly Clarkson.

If you could be a performer from any era, which would you choose and why? Today's pop, because I love the new.
