Danny met Michelle when he came onto the scene to find out who was responsible (Michelle, Drew, Jesse, Bill) for his brother Mick's death, at the time, she was involved with Jesse. Danny spied on the four friends when Drew hired him as a bartender.
When Danny found out that Michelle was responsible, he married her so that Michelle didn’t have to ‘pay’ for Mick’s murder - not a way to start a marriage. But things changed and tehy soon fell in love and began their ‘happily ever after,’ so they thought...
Danny’s mother Carmen was not thrilled with the marriage and dispised Michelle, especially when Danny left the family business because Michelle didn’t like it. Carmen did everything possible to break the two of them up and with her recent death, she may have suceeded in doing so.
