Imprisoned

by Di

"Piper where is she? We're gonna be late."

"I know Pheebes would you just relax already, she said she'd be here."

"Yeah I've heard that before." Phoebe sighed.

The door flew open with a bang and Phoebe and Piper jumped.

"Oh my god Phoebe I'm sorry I'm late. Come on quick lets get going." Prue said as she hugged Phoebe.

The three of them ran out of the house and into Piper's jeep. And headed down the road.

"Phoebe you made it we were starting to get worried."

"Donna you know me better then that. I love this game. There was no WAY I would miss this tournament."

"Hey, Phoebe."

"Hi Kevin." Phoebe replied as Kevin gave her a quick kiss.

"So you ready to kick some butt this weekend?"

"As always. You?"

"Yep."

The gang was altogether again. It had been 4 months since Phoebe's ordeal with Nick Baxter. And for the better part had put it behind her. She still got the odd nightmare, but her sisters were always there to help her through it. Today though all Phoebe cared about was winning the College Baseball Season Icebreaker Tournament. They had had the same team for the past few years and were really staring to work together as a team. Of course it helped when most of them hung out together anyway. And they all had the competitive edge. It was just a fun league, but at times some of the teams took it a bit to serious.

"Hey Kevin, isn't this the team from last year that were sticklers for the rules when it went in their favour?" Troy asked.

"Yeah I think so." Kevin answered.

"Oh man I hate these guys." Phoebe joined in. "Why can't they just have FUN."

"Well I guess they don't know how Pheebs." Troy added.

The game progressed and the gang was down 10-9, much to the pleasure of the other team. After all it was the bottom of the 9th. Phoebe was up to bat and pulled a beauty right over the first baseman. As she rounded first, she then headed for second. It was looking like it was gonna be VERY close.

"Oh Piper, she's not gonna make it." Prue said.

"Yes she will Prue. I've seen her do this a thousand times. When was the last time you were at one of her baseball games anyway?"

"uhhh that would be …"

"See Prue you can't even remember the last time you went."

"Yes I can just give me a sec." Prue replied playfully hitting Piper on the shoulder. "It was her senior year in High school. The year they won the State championship."

"Oh that's just great Prue. That was like what 8 years ago?"

As they reminisced about the past they didn't see Phoebe slide into second. The next thing they heard was the umpire calling her safe.

"See I told you she'd make it" Prue remarked with a smirk.

"Yeah whatever."

They watched as Phoebe stayed sitting on the ground. As they were behind the first base line they couldn't see their baby sister cringe in pain as she went to stand up. The second baseman offered her a hand up and she took it, trying not to put pressure on her right leg. Kevin came up to bat behind Phoebe. He had being having a so-so game all day and Phoebe knew that he was overdue for a good hit. First was a strike. Then another. Phoebe was starting to worry. She knew that if Kevin struck out that there was no WAY that Donna could hit her home to tie the game. And to top it off she knew that she had hurt her knee so she wouldn't be as fast as she usually was. She just didn't want to say anything in fear that her sisters would pull her out and she wouldn't be able to play. Phoebe was very stubborn that way. When she felt strongly about something she kept it to herself. Including an injury. It's not that bad anyway she thought. I probably just slid a bit too hard. The next pitch was away, and Kevin swung. A solid hit straight down the line. It was going….going…gone. Over the fence. Phoebe started a slow jog around to third and towards home.

"Piper, does Phoebe look likes she's limping?"

"Actually Prue yeah, she does."

Kevin was soon right behind her. Picking her up the rest of the way the landed on home together. The game over, and the gang winning the first game. Kevin put Phoebe down and she landed with all her weight on her right leg. Letting out a small screech and almost collapsing to the ground before Kevin caught her. Ok she thought, maybe its more serious then I first thought. Phoebe wondered. Prue and Piper came rushing over to her, as Kevin carried her to their dugout.

"Phoebe. You OK?" Prue asked with concern. Prue was always looking out for her two sisters. Being the oldest came with certain responsibilities. Especially when it came to Phoebe. She was always getting into some sort of mischief ever since they were kids.

"Yeah, I'm ok I think I just landed wrong when I slide in to 2nd base."

"That little yelp of pain was more then just landing wrong." Piper remarked.

"Look I'm fine I'll prove it."

Well that was Phoebe first mistake. She stood up and started to walk. As soon as she applied pressure to her right leg she pulled back and fell back onto the bench. Fighting back the tears of pain she gave into her sisters stares.

"Ok maybe not totally fine." She stuttered out between the tears.

"Ok kiddo that's enough playtime for you." Prue said. "It's off to the emergency for you."

Phoebe did not like hospitals and both her sisters knew it. Especially after her last stay there. But they were very insistent that she go. So Kevin picked her up and carried her to the jeep.

After several x-rays and some pain medication the girls were heading back home.

"You know between demon hunting, getting in car wrecks and playing baseball. I could start my own drug store." Phoebe joked in the back seat. She was stretch out with her leg up and a pillow underneath her knee.

"Well Pheebs it's just a slight tear in your knee cartilage. With some ice and you "staying off it" it should be fine in a few days." Piper told her.

"yadda, yadda, yadda." Phoebe replied playfully.

"Hey cheeky that's enough from you." Prue answered.

The rest of the trip was fairly quiet. Piper turned and looked in her rearview mirror as they pulled in the driveway and tapped Prue on the shoulder.

"Prue, look at sleeping beauty back there."

Prue turned and saw her sister sound asleep. "Oh she looks so cute. Maybe I should take a picture."

"You do, and I want nothing to do with this." Piper commented back.

Prue ran in the house and quickly grabbed her camera. She took a few pictures of Phoebe before waking her from her drug induced slumber and helping her out of the jeep. Just as they were starting to make their way towards the house Leo walked out.

"You guys need a hand there?"

"Oh Leo you are my saviour." Phoebe remarked playfully

Picking Phoebe up they all walked into the manor.

"Where to my lady?" Leo asked.

"The couch please, my fine fellow." Phoebe play along

Carrying Phoebe to the couch and pacing her down gently. Leo grabbed a pillow to help support her knee.

"Is there anything else, my lady?"

"No that will be fine for now Leonardo." Phoebe replied with a slight accent.

Sitting on the edge of the couch so not to disturb Phoebe's knee Prue lightly brushed the hair from Phoebe's face "Try and get some rest Phoebe, those drugs they gave you should be kicking in again soon." Prue told her.

"Yes Mummy." Phoebe replied with heavy eyelids

"If you need anything we will be right her. Ok Pheebs?"

"thanks Pipe." Phoebe replied with a heavy voice as the drugs slowly started to take effect. As she slowly started to drift off to sleep.

The two older Halliwell sisters were in the kitchen with Leo explaining to him what had happened to Phoebe.

"I told you she wouldn't make it Piper."

"Prue she did make it. She just hurt herself in the process."

"Hey as long as you guys don't have any supernatural attacks while Phoebe is out like this." Leo commented. "I mean, sure her powers may still work but her martial arts skills I'm thinking are kaput. Which in her case could leave her vulnerable."

"Don't think I haven't thought about that Leo" Prue commented.

"So to change the subject slightly." Piper added. "Why were you so late earlier today Prue?"

"Oh I got this hot new assignment at the magazine."

"Oh, spill sister."

"They want me to go and take some pictures of some of the guys at Williamhead prison that are trying to get their life back in order. They have this program were they can get trades and degrees. So when they get out, they can start the road to a crime free life. It's the Governor's new pet project apparently."

"Ok, why does that sound just bad?" Piper asked.

"Oh come on Piper. These guys are trying to get their lives in order. Some of them have families and got turned around. This is their chance to get turned back and make things right."

"I tend to agree with Prue, Piper." Leo added quietly.

"Ok so when is this photo shoot?"

"Actually that is yet to be determined. But probably a couple of weeks anyway maybe a little less. They want to make sure that they find the right candidates to do the article on. So until then… they said I could have a few days off."

"Wow, perfect timing."

"Yep, I can stay home and watch Phoebe to make sure she doesn't over do it. And wait for them to call."

"Who to call?"

"Phoebe!! What are you doing up?" Both her sisters asked sternly and getting up to help support her.

"Oh I didn't want to bother you guys."

"Well Prue, it's a good thing you're gonna be off for the next few days at least. You can keep an eye on Miss. 'I don't wanna stay on the couch.'"

"Hey! I resemble that remark. Or is it resent." Phoebe commented with a smirk. "And what do you mean Prue will be home?"

"I'll explain later baby girl. Right now you are either heading back to the couch or up to bed. Your choice. Which would you prefer?" Prue asked her.

"Well actually. Bed sounds pretty good about now. But can I at least have a shower first and get this baseball dirt off of me?"

"Shower. NO. Bath. Yes." Prue replied. "Now go and relax on the couch and I'll go up and run the bath for you."

"Ok" Phoebe sulked. As she turned and hobbled back to the couch.

After her bath Phoebe headed to her room to bed. What a day she thought. As she finished getting ready for bed there was a soft knock at the door.

"Come in."

"Hey Pheebs. How are you doing?" Prue asked.

"I'm ok thanks." She answered quietly.

"You sure?" As she approached the bed and sat down beside Phoebe, helping her adjust the pillow under her knee.

"Yeah I'll live. I just hope I don't have to kick some demon butt, or I may come out second best."

"Yeah well Pipe and I'll have to keep them at bay for a few days then won't we?"

"I guess so."

"You getting tired sweetie?"

"A little" Phoebe replied. "Prue?"

"Yes honey?"

"Can you just hold me till I fall asleep?" Phoebe asked her oldest sister quietly. Phoebe was unsure sometimes how here oldest sister would react to certain things. And this was one of those times.

"Oh baby, of course I will. Come here." Prue answered as she climbed up on to the bed, leaning against the headboard she pulled Phoebe towards her. Gently scratching her back to help her fall back to sleep. "That was a great slide by the way Pheebs."

"You think so?"

"Yep. To bad the end result was you getting hurt though."

"That's ok. As long as I have you and Piper I can handle a little pain in the knee for a few days." Phoebe answered back quietly as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

Prue stayed for a bit longer then she too found herself drifting off to sleep. The oldest, protecting the youngest. As it has always been. And that was how Piper and Leo found them several hours later, on their way to bed. Oh, they look so cute, Piper thought. She ran downstairs quick and came back up holding Prue's camera. Snapping a picture, she ran back down and placed the camera back so Prue wouldn't know.

"There'll be words about that when that film is developed." Leo told her with a smile.

"I know. I just couldn't resist." Piper remarked with a sly smile.

"Piper Halliwell! You have a mischievous streak about you that I didn't know about." Leo said.

Piper looked up at him with an alluring grin. "Do you wanna find out how mischievous I can be? Let s go to bed."

With that Leo picks her up and carried her to her room kissing her all the way. All was quiet in the manor. But that quiet and stillness that comes during the night would soon be shatter with the remembrance of the past. The very NEAR past.

It had been a few days since Phoebe had hurt her knee. It wasn't too bad now, as she could get around a lot better. Prue had been home the whole time to make sure she didn't over do it too much. All she had to do was turn the wrong way and she would be back to square one again.

"Prue?"

"In the basement Phoebe, give me a second."

"No rush. I just wanted to let you know I was going out for a walk over to the park."

"Whoa there girl. Hang on a second and I'll come with you."

"Prue. It's ok really. I have to start getting out on my own again without my big sister or sisters holding my hand." Phoebe answered and little upset that Prue didn't seem to trust her.

Prue sighed. She knew Phoebe was right, but she also knew Phoebe. A walk could just as easily turned into a jog. Ok, she thought, she's a big girl let it go.

"Ok Phoebe, promise me you'll be careful and won't over do it though."

"I will Prue I promise. I'll just go over to the park. Maybe just sit on the swing a bit."

"Hey maybe I should come, I could push." Prue recalled the times when they were younger and Prue would push Phoebe on the swings in the park. "Higher Pwue, higher." She chuckled to herself at the memory.

"thanks Prue but I think I got it covered this time. Be back in about an hour."

"Ok, take my cell in case you get to tired, and I can come and pick you up."

"Ok" Phoebe grabbed Prue's cell and walked out the door.

The walk to the park was just what the doctor ordered. Well Dr. Phoebe anyway. She had to get out of the Manor and away from Prue. She loved her sister but sometimes she just needed her own space. The park was empty when she got there. Well it is the middle of the afternoon she thought. The kids are still in school. She found a swing and just slowly rocked it back and forth. She too recalled the times when Prue had pushed her on that very swing. "She never seemed to push me as high as I wanted to go." Phoebe said to no one. I wonder. Phoebe started to swing the swing. Slowly at first to see how her knee would take the pumping action. Not bad she thought. Ok let's go all out. Phoebe was swinging higher and higher with each pump of her legs. Soon swinging parallel with the top bar. She then just stopped pumping and let the swing follow its natural course and slowly come to a stop. She did this a few times. Reaching the top and then letting it glide her to a stop. Phoebe didn't know how long she had been there. She was drawn from her thoughts by the sounds of children playing all around her. Wow how long have I just been sitting here? She wondered. Prue must be freaking by now. With that thought she got off the swing and started walking towards home.

"Piper, she said she'd be only gone an hour."

"Prue relax. You know what she is like when she get on those swings. She gets lost in her thoughts and she is probably having a swing contest with all the kids."

Prue had to laugh at Piper's remark for that was probably exactly what Phoebe was doing. "I only hope she doesn't over do it."

"She's a big girl Prue. She'll be fine."

With that the front door opened and in walked Phoebe. Well wasn't quite a walk she still had a slight limp from her injury. And with the walk and swinging her knee was starting to bother her..

"Prue! Piper! I'm home."

"Where were you?" Prue asked as she came out of the living room.

Phoebe looked at her sister with a confused look.

"She was just worried about you Pheebs. You told her you'd only be gone an hour."

"Well I got to thinking on the swings." Leaving out the part of her high flying.

Piper looked at Prue and hit her lightly. "See I told you that was what she was doing."

"I know." Prue answered. Then turning to Phoebe. "You weren't having a swing contest were you?"

Phoebe looked from sister to sister. "No."

"Good" They both replied.

Phoebe made her way over to the couch and lifted up her leg. Putting a pillow under it to give it some support.

"You ok Pheebs?" Piper asked with concern.

"Yeah I'm just a little tired."

"Well if you need anything I'll be in the kitchen getting dinner." Piper gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and went to her domain.

Prue also gave her a kiss, "And I'll be down in the basement developing a roll of film. If you need anything just yell ok?"

"Ok I will thanks guys."

With both sisters gone Phoebe finally had time to let out a small tear. She had over done it but didn't want to worry her sisters. Besides they'll never let me out of their sight again. Even after I'm totally healthy. She got off the couch quietly and went upstairs to the bathroom. Finding the bottle of painkillers she took two and went back downstairs to the couch.

An hour or so later Piper went in to see if she wanted anything and found her fast asleep. Grabbing the throw off the back of the chair she gently placed it over Phoebe.

Phoebe started to have a dream. One that she had not had for sometime. It was actually more of a nightmare then a dream. She found herself looking at the face of Nick Baxter. The psycho that had kidnapped her, after her car accident. He had been so nice to her at first. But then when she found his secret and he had tried to kill her. If it hadn't been for Darryl and her sisters he probably would have. Darryl had shot him three times. But yet in her dream he got back up and tried again to reach her. Each time she had the dream he would get closer and closer. And each time Prue had to use her power to keep Phoebe safe. Only this time it was different. Prue used her power but nothing happened. He grabbed Phoebe out her sisters loving arms. And took her to an alter in the kitchen. He just looked at them and laughed evilly. In the kitchen he tied Phoebe down. Grabbing the knife he held it high above her. "This time, you WILL die, Phoebe Halliwell." As the knife came down towards her all she could do was scream.

Phoebe sat up from the couch screaming. Piper came running from the kitchen and Prue not two steps behind her. Considering she had some up from the basement. Phoebe just screamed. She didn't even seem to recognize that her sisters where right beside her. Each time they tried to reach out to her she pulled away. Finally Prue just took her in her arms and hugged her. She squirmed at first trying to break away. But Prue just held her tighter.

"Ssshhhh baby I got you. Nobody is gonna hurt you."

Piper put her hand to her mouth afraid for the sight that she saw.

Prue slowly rubbed Phoebe's back; it was having the desired effect, as she started to calm down.

After several minutes Phoebe had calmed down.

"What did you see Phoebe?" Prue asked as gently as she could.

Phoebe just hugged her close and sniffed. "I..I..I saw him. He w..wwas gonna k..kill me."

Prue looked over to Piper who just shrugged her shoulders. Then it dawned on her and she looked back at Prue, and mouthed a name. "Nick?!"

The realization of what had happened hit both sisters.

"He's gone Phoebe. He will never hurt you again." Prue told her as she hugged her close.

"I…It w….wass s..ss.so real."

Prue didn't know what to do. She just hugged Phoebe close. Piper came over and sat beside them., and put her hand of Phoebe's back. They sat there for a few minutes until Phoebe had calmed down some more. Still not letting her grip on Prue go. She quietly cried in her sister's arms. Finally crying herself back to sleep. Prue gently laid her back down on the couch, pushing her hair off her face.

"Oh god Prue what are we gonna do? I haven't seen her this upset about that since she got out of the hospital."

"I know Piper. I just don't understand it myself. She seemed to have gotten past all that."

"You don't think its supernatural related do you?"

"What you mean? Someone that brings back your worst memories and have you relive them?"

"Yeah."

"I don't know Piper but whatever it is we just have to be here for her."

Piper finished cooking dinner as Prue sat with Phoebe, who slept with no recurring nightmares.

"Dinner ready Prue. Do you wanna wake her?"

"Yeah, it might do her some good to get something in her."

"Phoebe. Pheebs sweetie, wake up."

"auh. What?"

"Dinners ready sweetie. Come on, you know how Piper hates it when she has to wait for us."

"Yeah, nasty…"

"Yeah."

Prue started for the kitchen thinking Phoebe was right behind her. Phoebe however was still on the couch. Thinking of her nightmare. Oh god why is this happening to me. He's dead he can't hurt me. Standing she started to make her way to the kitchen. After swinging and walking earlier, and thrashing in Prue's arms her knee was really sore. Limping into the kitchen she noticed her sisters watching her carefully.

"What?"

"You're limping more now then you have in the past few days. You Ok Pheebs?" Piper asked with concern.

"It's ok. It must just be stiff. I'll put some ice on it after dinner."

Both Prue and Piper looked at her suspiciously.

Nothing more was said about Phoebe's nightmare. They ate dinner talking about the club and Prue's up coming photo shoot. After dinner they headed into the living room.

"So any good movies we can curl up to Piper?" Phoebe asked.

"Doesn't look like it."

"Well we could play truth or dare. You up for that Phoebe?" Prue knew perfectly well that her baby sister would never turn down a game of truth or dare with her sisters.

"Duh, yeah." Phoebe answered with a smile.

Later that night the sound of the phone helped Prue escape the dare that her baby sister was cooking up in her head.

"I'll get it."

"Hey not fair."

Prue just turned to her and stuck out her tongue.

"Biper, she stuck her tongue at me." Phoebe told Piper in her baby voice as she crawled over to her big sister.

"Oh you poor thing. I'll get after her when she gets back" Piper couldn't help but laugh at Phoebe whenever she did that. Phoebe just cuddled into Piper as they waited for Prue to return.

"Well that was the magazine" Prue started as she entered the living room. "Looks like I'm a go for Friday morning."

"Great so for the next few days you can baby-sit our little trouble maker her."

"Hey I'm not."

Piper and Prue just looked at Phoebe and laughed.

"Ok maybe a little." Phoebe laughed back.

"Hey Pheebs I was actually wondering if you wanted to come with me?"

"And I would do this because?"

"Well you could help me with my stuff and it may give you some help with your Psyche class."

Phoebe turned to Piper. "You see that is why she is the oldest. She is always thinking."

"So you gonna come?"

"Yep."

A few days later Prue and Phoebe ran into Darryl at the park with his wife and kids.

"Hey Darryl."

"Phoebe. Prue. Hey Phoebe how's your knee?"

"Better thanks for asking Darryl."

"So nothing 'new' with you guys I hope." Both girls knew he was talking about some of their demon activities. But he couldn't get into much of that with his wife and kids right there.

"Actually it been surprisingly quiet. Except miss baseball over here. Sliding into second on the weekend.. Got herself a little tear in her cartilage. But you already knew that."

"Hey I was safe wasn't I?"

Prue and Darryl just laughed at her.

"Oh and Prue got this cool photo gig, over at the prison."

"The one that the governor has as his new pet project." Prue added.

Darryl just stood there speechless.

Phoebe hit him lightly. "Hey Darryl your suppose to say congratulations. After all Prue, was hand picked as the photographer by the big guy himself. And I'm gonna go with her to help her out and maybe get some inside track on these criminal minds for my Psych class."

"Huh, yeah well congrats Prue."

"I guess he saw my work."

"Yeah. Hey Phoebe can you go give my wife a hand for a second?" Darryl asked nervously.

Phoebe turned and saw Darryl's wife chasing after their youngest with the oldest in tow behind her.

"Yeah sure Darryl."

As Phoebe left Prue looked at Darryl with suspicion. Why didn't he go help his wife? She thought.

"Prue, I'm not so sure that is such a great idea."

"Why not Darryl? It'll be perfectly safe. And in case you haven't forgotten we can take care of ourselves." Prue told him.

"Prue I wasn't suppose to tell you guys. But seen as your going up to Williamshead I think you have a right to know."

"Darryl know you're scaring me"

"Do you remember when we found Phoebe?"

"How could I forget Darryl."

"Well after you three left the scene." He paused and looked away from her. Over to where Phoebe was playing on the grass with his son.

"Darryl what is it?"

He never turned to look at her. "Nick Baxter is still alive." He said quietly.

Prue was at first stunned, then angry. How could their friend keep something like that from them? "W…W..What did you just say?" Thinking she had heard him wrong.

He turned to look at her this time. "He's still alive Prue. I don't know how. I put three slugs into that bastard. After you left I was standing by the door when I heard him gasp. I wanted to walk away. In fact I started to. Then one of the rookies that was there also saw it and yelled out that he was still alive. The other paramedic team came rushing in like wild fire. I couldn't stop them. I wanted him to die for what he did. To that family, to you and Piper, and to Phoebe."

Prue just looked at him saying nothing. She looked past him to her baby sister. How was she going to tell Phoebe this. "Darryl how could you not tell us? I mean this is huge. That man. No that monster has terrorized my sisters nightmares since she came home. She was finally getting past all this."

"I wanted to Prue honest I did. But the chief felt it better if you didn't know."

"Better? Where was you're 'CHIEF' when she woke up screaming at all hours of the night to scared to go back to sleep?" Prue was yelling now, but not loud enough for Phoebe to hear. "Where was he when Piper or I couldn't be out of her sight. And if we were for even a split second she would start to freak out. Darryl, you know what those few months for Phoebe were like. For all of us."

"I know I'm sorry Prue." Darryl just looked away from Prue's stare.

"You're sorry, well that's just great Darryl. How the hell I'm I suppose to tell her that?" Pointing over to Phoebe.

"I don't know. Look Prue the reason I'm telling you this now is because he is at Williamshead. That's where they took him right from the scene. Some how he managed to survive three slugs to the back and the surgery. The doctor's say it's a miracle he made it through with the amount of blood loss. He was in a coma for the longest time. Dr.'s didn't think he was gonna make it. Then out of the blue, the other day he came around. He is now in the maximum security ward, in a wheelchair."

"Well I'm still going. I have a job to do. I'm not going near maximum security. I just have to tell Phoebe she can't go. And figure away to tell her about this." Then it hit Prue on what Darryl had just said. "When did he get out of his coma?"

"Tuesday afternoon. Why?"

"Oh my god." Prue said to no one really.

"What is it Prue?"

"That was when Phoebe had her nightmare again. Only she said that this time it was more intense, more real."

"You don't think he's connected to her somehow do you?"

"I don't know Darryl, right now I just have to figure out how I'm gonna tell her."

"Don't."

"We don't keep secrets from each other Darryl." She snapped back.

"It's your call Prue."

"Yes it is Darryl. We should get going, Piper will wonder were we are. Goodbye Darryl."

"Bye Prue. And Prue." He called after her. She stopped but did not turn around. "I am sorry."

"I know Darryl. Just leave it now ok?" She continued walking away from her friend to get Phoebe. How on earth am I going to tell her this.

It was a long walk home. At least it was for Prue. She was trying to figure out two new problems she had. One how to tell Phoebe about Nick Baxter. And the other one how to convince her she couldn't go with her tomorrow.

"Prue is something wrong?" Phoebe inquired. Prue was worried about something and she could tell.

"It's ok Phoebe I was just thinking about something that Darryl told me."

"You wanna talk about it."

"Not just yet, but when I do I'll tell you I promise." She put her arm around Phoebe shoulders and they walked up the driveway to the Manor.

"Ok, well you know where to find me."

"That I do baby sister. That I do."

With that they walked into the Manor, to the wonderful smell of Piper's cooking.

"Hmmmm. Piper what is that your cooking it smells like heaven." Phoebe yelled out from the front foyer.

"Hi guys how was the park? And that dear sister is Grams Chicken Cordon Bleu with angel hair pasta." She told them as she came out of the kitchen

"Oh I love Grams Chicken." Phoebe said as she headed towards the kitchen.

Piper just laughed. And turned to Prue. "So I never got an answer."

"Sorry. What was the question Pipe?"

"How was the park?" Piper looked at Prue with concern. Something is bothering her. Something big.

"Can I tell you later Piper? After Pheebs has gone to bed."

"Yeah sure Prue." Piper said with a bit of hesitation.

"Ok then lets go get that Chicken dinner before she eats it all and we starve."

Phoebe had told Piper about running into Darryl and his family at the park and how she was playing with his son. Prue didn't say too much all-night. She kept thinking of what to say to Phoebe. After dinner they retired to the living room for a movie they had rented earlier in the week. At the end of the movie Phoebe let out a big yawn.

"Well girls it's been fun but this girl is tired and is going to bed." Getting up she bent down and gave each sister a kiss on the forehead and went up stairs.

Once Piper was certain that Phoebe was in bed and sleeping she asked Prue what was bothering her.

"Hang on a sec. Piper." Getting up she went upstairs to check on Phoebe. Certain that she was sleeping she headed back down stairs.

Piper didn't ask again. She knew that Prue would tell her in her own time. So she waited.

"Darryl had some news for me today. Actually it was for all three of us. I'm not quite sure how to tell Phoebe."

From the look on her sisters face Piper knew that whatever it was that Darryl had told her it was huge. But she didn't push it.

"I'm just gonna come out with it Piper but whatever you do please try not to scream or panic. I don't want Phoebe to wake up."

"Ok Prue I'll try. But now you're scaring me."

"That was how I reacted to." Prue paused a minute. Just say it she thought to herself. "Nick Baxter is still alive." She said quietly. So quiet that Piper almost didn't hear her. But she did. She just sat there stunned, then angry.

"Did you say he, he is still alive?"

All Prue could do was nod her head.

"How is that possible Prue? We saw him take three bullets to the back." Piper yelled.

"Sssshhhh. I don't know Pipe." Prue answered her. "Darryl said after we left we started to breathe again."

"Whoa. This is huge Prue. We have to tell Phoebe."

"I know I'm just not sure how. After what happened the other day. Which in itself freaky."

"How do you mean?"

"Well, you remember what happened Tuesday afternoon right?"

"Yeah how could I not. I haven't seen her that scared since she came home from the hospital."

"Well apparently that was when that monster came out of his coma." Prue proceed to tell Piper the whole story that Darryl had told her earlier that afternoon.

"Oh my god Prue. How are we going to tell her that that monster has been alive this whole time?"

"I don't know Piper, but I do know that we have to be here for her and help her through this."

"There is no question Prue. But this has the potential to blow-up in our face. I mean she could recoil faster then a snake. We could end up right back to square one."

"I know Piper, don't think I haven't thought of all that. But we have to tell her."

"I agree but when? She is so excited about spending the day with you tomorrow. We can't let her go there."

"I know but that will just break her heart. She has been looking forward to it since Tuesday."

The two sisters sat up well into the night trying to figure the best way to tell Phoebe the news. After hours of debating back and forth they decided to tell her at breakfast before Prue left for her photo shoot. That way it would be out and Phoebe would also know why Prue didn't want her to go along. Piper would stay home to there for Phoebe.

The next morning Piper was the first up. Followed closely by Prue.

"So we just sit her down and tell her right?" Piper asked Prue with a little hesitation.

"Yeah, that's probably the best way."

"So before or after we have breakfast?"

"What before or after breakfast?" Phoebe asked as she came in the kitchen.

Piper and Prue just looked at each other. Now or never Prue thought. "Before."

"What's up guys you look kinda lost in some heavy thoughts."

Prue turned to her youngest sister with a look of pure love in her eyes, but also a lost look. She knew that what she was about to say would tear her baby sister apart. And this was one wound that she did not know how to heal or fix.

"I think you'd better sit down Phoebe."

"Ok now your guys are starting to scare me. What's going on?" She asked again as she sat up onto the kitchen counter.

"Well there is no easy way to tell this to you Pheebs so I'm just gonna come out with it. But I want to assure you that both Piper and I are here for you, now and always, and we would NEVER let anything happen to you. Do you understand?"

Phoebe just nodded. She could tell by the tone in Prue's voice that what she had to say was very serious.

"Ok. Remember when we ran into Darryl yesterday?"

"Yeah."

"Well after you went to help his wife with the kids he told me something that concerns you: no concerns us." Prue paused for a minute getting her words in order and preparing herself to catch Phoebe if she fell. Piper grabbed her hand for support. Prue just squeezed it lightly as a gesture of an unspoken thank you. "He told me that Nick Baxter is still alive." She looked at Phoebe for a reaction. Nothing. She didn't even blink she just stared at Prue. Almost staring right through her.

Piper reached her hand up to Phoebe and placed it gently on her knee. "Phoebe? Please say something."

All Phoebe could do was stare at Prue. Then finally she let out a word. "No." She said it so quietly they barely heard her.

"I'm sorry Phoebe I truly am?" Prue continued

"H..H..How is th..th..that pos..possible?"

"I don't know sweetie Darryl just told me that some how he managed to survive."

Piper gently stroked Phoebe hair and pushing some of it out of her face.

Phoebe just sat there a bit longer. Then she felt something in her throat rising to get out. She jumped off the counter, almost falling when her knee almost gave out, and ran as fast as she could to the downstairs bathroom. Making it just in time to barf in the toilet.

Prue and Piper ran after her and helped her back up when she was done. As she started out of the bathroom she could feel her legs starting to give under her. She leaned up against the wall and slid down as the tears started to flow. Prue and Piper crouched down next to her ready to give any support that they could. After a few minutes Phoebe was quiet. Then she turned to Prue and asked her to tell her what happened. Prue relayed to Phoebe what she had told Piper last night and what Darryl had told her the day before in the park.

"W..Why didn't he t..tell us?"

"I don't know Phoebe I just know that he has now."

"Come on Phoebe lets go sit in the living room." Piper suggested.

Piper and Prue each grabbed an arm and help Phoebe stand up. They supported her over to the couch where they sat down. Each with an arm, still around their baby sister. She had been through so much after the kidnapping months ago and now was having to relive it all over again. Phoebe just sat there staring off into the distance. Maybe I should postpone this photo shoot. Phoebe needs me here. Prue thought. Finally after minutes of silence that seemed like and eternity to her sisters Phoebe finally spoke.

"I'm still going with you Prue."

Prue just looked at her in shock and then to Piper. The "What do we do now?" look on her face mirrored that of Prue's.

"Pheebs sweetie I'm not sure if that is such a great idea." Piper finally said.

"Piper I can't let this monster keep ruining my life. I have to do this to get past this. Besides Prue said herself, we won't be anywhere near the maximum-security area."

"Phoebe…" Prue started but Phoebe wouldn't let her finish.

"Prue I'm going. No room for discussion. You guys are here for me I know that now, I wasn't sure before. I was sick, injured and scared out of my wits when I discovered what I knew to be true. But this is different. I'm more prepared."

"Phoebe I don't like it but I can't stop you. If you want to come with me, than ok."

Piper just looked at Prue like she had gone crazy. But she to know that this is something that Phoebe must do. Face your demons.

"Ok so lets eat and then get ready to go." Phoebe said as she got up. Starting to head for the kitchen she let out a small wince ever time she stepped with her right foot. I guess I ran to fast to the bathroom.

"Prue have you completely lost your mind?"

"Piper she has to deal with this in her own way. If this is her way we can't stop her."

"Fine but if anything, and I mean ANYTHING happens and she looks like she is regressing again. You get her butt outta there and back here. Got it?" Piper was scared for her little sister. And when she was scared she tended to panic.

Prue pulled Piper into a hug. "I got it. Now lets go eat."

After breakfast Prue and Phoebe packed up the camera equipment in the car and started to get into the car. Piper pulled Phoebe into a hug. "Now you're sure about this right?"

"Yes Pipe. I'll be fine I promise."

"Ok. Love you."

"Love you too." Phoebe said and got into Prue's car.

Piper walked around to the other side and gave Prue a hug as well. "Anything"

"I know Piper. Don't worry I'll keep an eye on her. Believe it or not I'm just as worried as you are."

"Ok then, Love you."

"Love you too."

As they pulled out of the driveway and down the road Piper had a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. She did not think this was a good idea. But she had to trust Phoebe's instincts. She walked back into the Manor to clean up breakfast, make a lunch and get ready to head down to the club. As she was getting ready she saw in her mirror the very familiar blue lights. Turning around she wrapped her arms around Leo's neck to give him a kiss.

"Hey there big guy, back for some more mischief?"

Leo couldn't help but smile at the remark. "I wish. Where are Prue and Phoebe?"

"They just left for Prue's photo shoot. Don't tell me we have supernatural problems Leo."

"Ok I won't, you just did."

"Oh, don't these guys ever give up?" Piper throw up her hands in frustration.

"I guess not. But this is bad. And it's gonna take the power of three to vanquish him."

"Well then I guess he'll have to wait until tonight or tomorrow. In case you didn't notice, we're are 2/3's short here."

"I noticed. But actually you have it wrong."

"Huh?"

"I believe the correct math in this case would be 1/3 short. The demon we are after. Is somewhere in the prison that Prue and Phoebe just went to."

Piper just looked at Leo in shock.

"What do you mean in the prison Leo?"

"I don't know Piper all I know is there is a warlock that has connections to the prison."

"Oh this is bad. This is very bad."

"What's going on Piper?"

Piper proceeded to tell Leo what Prue had told her last night about Nick Baxter.

"Do you think its him Piper?"

"I don't know Leo. All I know is there is no way that monster should be alive right now. Darryl put three bullets in him. He should be DEAD."

"Ok calm down Piper. We have to think this through."

"Calm down Leo? Calm down. Are you crazy? There is a demon of some sorts out there that is obviously after us again. And my two sisters just went straight to him."

"Ok so call Prue on her cell and we'll get them back here."

"Right good idea. Call Prue." She went to the kitchen to the phone dialing Prue's number frantically.

"The cellular customer is not in the area. Please hang up and try your call again."

"Damn, why is this not working. Darryl. I'll call Darryl and let him know. He can reach the prison and have them tell Prue to call me as soon as she gets there."

"Ok. Look Piper I'll go see if there is anything I can find out."

"Ok, go, go."

Piper called Darryl at the station and explained the problem to him.

"Ok look Piper relax. I'll call there right now and have them get Prue to call you back. OK?"

"thanks Darryl."

"Your welcome."

Darryl called the prison and left a message with the Warden to have Prue call home as soon as she got there.

Meanwhile Prue and Phoebe were just pulling up to the gates. Parking the car they got Prue's camera equipment out of the back, and started to head to the main entrance. Phoebe lagged a little behind her sister getting her thoughts in order. I'm ok I can do this. Prue is here with me, and I won't be anywhere near him. Besides he's in a wheelchair what can he do. Ok deep breath Phoebe. Prue noticed her sister was no longer beside her and turned to see Phoebe standing starring up at the big main gates. Putting her camera bag down she went to Phoebe.

"You sure you're up for this sweetie?" Putting an arm around Phoebe's shoulders.

Phoebe didn't say anything.

"Pheebs?"

"Yeah Prue I'm ok. I got you here with me, I'll be alright." Phoebe answered very quietly.

"Ok, let's go then."

Taking Phoebe's hand they headed again to the main gate stopping for a second while Prue picked up her camera bag. Once the got all the necessary clearance they headed to the main offices to sit with the warden on how to proceed. Prue kept an eye on Phoebe to make sure that she was doing ok. She'd been pretty quiet since they got out of the car.

Prue thoughts were soon interrupted. "Ladies, sorry to keep you waiting I'm Warden Hunter. You can call me Rob." He held out his hand.

Prue took it. "Hey Rob, I'm Prue and this is my sister Phoebe. She'll be assisting me today."

"Welcome to Williamshead Prison. I don't think the walls have been graced with such beauty. And two of you at that."

Both Prue and Phoebe blushed at the compliment.

"Well thank you. So where should we begin." Prue was eager to get started. Not just to take the pictures, but she knew that the sooner she started the sooner she finished and could get Phoebe out of there. She was putting on a brave face she knew it. She also knew that deep inside she was fighting a battle of her wits. Phoebe was tough but at times she didn't know when to let go and ask for help. Prue had a feeling this was one of those times.

"Well we had to pick out the best candidates for your article. And I have arranged for them to meet you in the commons area. But first I have a message for you from an Inspector Morris. He asked to have you call your sister, Piper is it? At home as soon as you got here."

"Oh, do you have phone I could borrow?" Prue was wondering what was so urgent that Piper needed Darryl to call them here. And why didn't she just call them on the cell.

"Certainly right this way." He led them to his office that was just around the corner from where they were seated.

Turning to Phoebe "I wonder what's up?"

Phoebe just shrugged. She had a feeling that it may be supernatural trouble but didn't wanna say anything in front of the Warden.

"Piper, it's Prue, what's up and why didn't you call me on my cell?"

"Oh Prue thank god. Look you guys have to get out of there NOW!"

"Piper calm down what are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about demons Prue. They're…"

All of a sudden the phone went dead and there was a loud explosion heard in the yard. The next sound they heard was that of very loud sirens, almost like air-raid sirens.

"Piper. Piper?" Prue turned to Phoebe who was starting to look a little worried.

"What's going on Prue?"

"I don't know the line went dead."

"You girls stay here. We'll have this sorted out momentarily."

Prue wasn't going to take that for any answer. She was worried about Phoebe and herself. They were in a prison as guests and the sirens just started to go off and she wanted to know what the hell was going on.

"Rob what's going on?"

"Just stay here. Look I'll lock the door. I'm the only one with a key. So as long as you're in here you're perfectly safe." He didn't want anything to happen to the photographer of the Governor's pet project.

He closed the door behind him and locked it. Prue went over to Phoebe who was starring at the door behind him. Putting a protective arm around her baby sister they made their way over to the couch in Rob's office.

"Prue?"

"Yes sweetie."

"What's going on?" Phoebe had a feeling she knew but wanted her big sister to reassure her that everything was going to be all right.

"I'm not sure Pheebs but I think it may be a riot or breakout of some sort."

"We're gonna be ok here right?"

Prue just looked over at Phoebe. She could tell that she was scared. I should never let her come with me. It's been too soon since her ordeal with that monster. Now this. "Yeah Phoebe we'll be ok. You got me and I got you and anyone other then Rob that comes through that door won't know what hit him."

Phoebe laughed at that. She knew what Prue meant. "Yeah you throw him them across the room and I'll finish him off with a nice roundhouse kick. The power of two again."

"Yeah the power of two"

"Prue what did Piper want anyway?"

Prue had almost forgot about her call with Piper. "I don't know Phoebe we got cut off before she could tell me. All I got was that we had to leave here now, and demon. But that was it."

Phoebe looked at Prue with concern. "You don't think she has a demon problem that she needs our help with do you?"

Brushing Phoebe's hair lightly and pulling her into a hug "I don't know Phoebe I just don't know."

They sat like that holding each other for what seemed like hours. The noise outside seemed to have quieted down some but there was still the odd yelling to be heard. Not having a window they couldn't tell what was going on. The next thing they heard was a key in the door. They both looked up expecting Rob to come in. It wasn't, Prue was about to throw him when she realized it was one of the guards. Letting her guard down she let out a sigh.

"Rob told me you guys were up here." He thinks it would be a good idea if we did this shoot another day. We've had a small riot, but it seems under control now.

"Where's Rob?" Prue asked.

"He's down supervising the clean up. He sends his apologize."

Picking up her camera bag and taking Phoebe by the hand Prue headed for the door.

"Hang on." The guard said after them "We can't go that way. It's all barricaded off. We have to go around the back way. Follow me."

Prue and Phoebe shared a look of confusion and followed after the man. They followed him down some steps and out into the courtyard. Once there they couldn't believe their eyes. There were bodies everywhere. Some prisoners and some guards, but something didn't seem right to Prue. She squeezed Phoebe's hand a little tighter so they wouldn't get separated. Why is he taking us straight up the middle of all this? She wondered. Her thoughts were soon answered. As they walked a bit further they came across a group of men. Some were guards some prisoners, at least it looked that way. The next thing Prue knew was someone pushing her forward. Losing her grip on Phoebe and dropping her camera bag. Reacting quickly she regained her balance and flung the first person she saw. Turning quickly to find Phoebe, she was stopped in her tracks.

"Well, well, well. What have we here? If it isn't 2/3's of the Charmed Ones." The voice was thick with triumph and evil. He held Phoebe close to him with a knife to her throat and both hands behind her back.

"Let her go." Prue said forcefully.

"No I don't think so. You see as long as I have her you're powerless. Well so to speak. I know that you won't try anything stupid as long as I have your precious baby sister. Isn't that right Prudence?"

Prue just glared at him.

"Yes that's right. I know who you are. Always the strong one weren't you. Always protecting your sisters. Well we shall have to see how far that goes, won't we?"

Phoebe just stood there. Tears forming in her eyes and looking to Prue. She could see the conflict going on inside her oldest sister.

"Now the Master will be pleased. He was only counting on you coming here today. Getting your sister is well, an added bonus. Maybe he'll let me have her for awhile before I kill her." Bending down towards Phoebe he slowly licked the side of her face. Phoebe tried to pull away put the knife blade started to cut into her when she did.

Prue started towards him with fire in her eyes. "Let her go."

"Oh I don't think so Prudence. I haven't had my fun yet."

All Prue could do was watch. If she used her power he could easily kill Phoebe.

"But not yet. The Master may want her first. Shall we go for a little walk ladies." As he started to walk with Phoebe, Prue didn't move. "Come along Prudence wouldn't want you to miss all the fun now."

Prue was then pushed from behind and started after her sister and who ever this was that had them in their grasp.

Finally getting to their destination they throw Prue into a cell and then followed by Phoebe. Closing the door behind them. Prue rushed over to Phoebe who was on the floor crying. Bending down to her baby sister she pulled Phoebe on to her lap. Phoebe buried her head into Prue shoulder, not wanting her to let go.

"You bastard." Was all Prue could muster as she glared at their captures.

"Now, now Prudence. That's no way to speak to your saviors. Had we not brought you in here one of those prisoners would have done who know what to you or your sister. Now don't go anywhere." He left them laughing as he walked down the corridor. "Oh and Prudence," He hollered back. "No point in trying to use your powers to escape they won't work." With that said they heard another loud clang.

Prue just sat there holding Phoebe close, as her little sister cried in arms.

"Ssssshhh. Pheebs I got you know it's ok." Gently rocking Phoebe and rubbing her back.

"Prue?"

"Yeah?"

"What are we gonna do? He's definitely a demon of some kind and he seems to know an awful lot about us."

"I was thinking the same thing Pheebs. I also think that that was what Piper was trying to tell us. That they were here after us. I should never have brought you along. It's obvious that they just wanted me. Now I got you into this too."

Phoebe looked up at Prue. "Prue it's not your fault. I wanted to come remember? I was the one that wanted to face my demons."

"I know Phoebe, I know." Prue pulled Phoebe closer to her.

Meanwhile at the Manor

Piper couldn't believe that the phone cut out as she started to tell Prue about the demon in the prison. Or with connections to it anyway. What had happened anyway? She thought. Just then Leo appeared in front of her.

"Leo what did you find out?"

"Well there is definitely something big going on. It seems that the Source has a new plan."

"And…"

"Well he has figured that together you guys are to strong. He also knows that you are still fairly new to this. So he knows that you can only take on so much at once."

"Meaning what?"

"Meaning that he has sent one of his best Warlocks to help 'create' more demons."

"Huh. Are you telling me that he can just 'make' demons?"

"Well not really. What this warlock does is focus on the bad in people. Their darkside so to speak. But as long as they are alive he can't touch them. As soon as they get to a certain point in their death or near death he can consume them and make them demons to serve only him. It's complicated and 'they' don't totally understand it themselves."

"So what you're saying is this warlock has been using the prison system to get himself more demons?"

"Right. I also don't think it was an accident that Prue got that photo assignment."

"What you think her boss is the warlock?"

"Think about it Piper. He was the one that choose her to do it."

"Yeah well so did the Governor. I mean sure, he's a politician that doesn't necessarily make him a warlock."

"Ok so first off we have to find out 'who' the warlock is then find a way to kick his butt."

"Right"

"Ok so where do we start?"

With that the phone rang. Leo and Piper just looked at the phone and then each other. Maybe it was Prue calling back. Piper picked it up.

"Prue?"

"Piper, no it's Darryl."

"Oh hi Darryl, I thought maybe you were Prue calling back. We got cut off when she called."

"That's why I'm calling Piper. There's been a situation at the prison."

"What kinda of situation Darryl?"

"A riot broke out. As far as we can tell right now the prisoners have control of the prison."

"Oh my god." Piper dropped the phone and Leo was quick to react. He saw the look on Piper's face and then she slowly let the phone drop.

"Darryl?"

"Leo. What happened to Piper is she ok?"

"I don't think so Darryl. What happened?"

Darryl told Leo about the riot.

"Ok Darryl let us know as soon as you know anything. But be forewarned this may fall under the sisters line of work."

"I didn't want to hear that Leo."

"Sorry man. Look I gotta go to Piper, call ok?"

"Yeah I will."

Leo hung up the phone and bent down to Piper who had slid to the floor. Sobbing quietly. Holding her close to him he just rocked her. Letting her know that he was there for her.

"Oh God Leo what are we gonna do now?"

"I'm not sure Piper. But we have to be strong for them. Why not start looking in the BOS for anything that might help us?"

"Ok" she sniffed. "There gonna be ok aren't they Leo?"

"They have each other Piper. They'll be ok. Besides when those two get together. Look out. I feel kinda sorry for the bad guys."

Piper laughed. "Yeah they can kick some butt when they're together can't they? I'm a little concerned about Phoebe though. After what happened the other day. She is trying to be so brave facing her demons and going with Prue."

"Hey Prue won't let anything happen to her. Now lets go see what the book can tell us."

They headed up towards the attic in search of an answer. Not knowing what demons they would face, or what demons the sisters would face in prison.

Prue was finally able to get Phoebe calmed down enough to get some sleep. They had been in the cell all day and it was starting to get dark out. Every now and again they could hear the police outside on their megaphones. Trying to get the prisoners to surrender. All they got back were more hooting and hollering. From what Prue had seen when they had first walked through the courtyard was that there was more then one group all vying for control of the prison. I don't know what they think they will accomplish. She thought. There is no way out of here. Which led her to thoughts of her and Phoebe. How where they gonna get out of here? This guy knows exactly what to do. He even knows our weaknesses. Oh Piper I hope you find something in the book. Yeah right Prue how is she supposed to get it to you? If this guy is this powerful that he can make our powers not work in here. Then it is definitely going to take all three of us to take him down. She looked over at Phoebe who was sleeping. Not restfully but sleeping none the less. "Oh Pheebs. We will make it out of this I promise." Prue told her sleeping sister, as she brushed her hair off her face.

Phoebe was not having a restful sleep. As she tossed and turned she was filled with one nightmare after another. The last one she couldn't escape from. She was running down an alley. She could hear footsteps running after her. She turned and could see two men chasing her. She ran faster. She came out of the alley and found herself at a park. She started to run across it. She knew they were gaining on her and she didn't know how much longer she could run. They were closer she could almost feel their breath on her the back of her neck. Then she felt herself fall. They had caught her. One of the men tackled her. She screamed with all her might. But nothing came out. She was face down in the dirt. Then she could fell a hand over her mouth as they lifted her off the ground and carried over to some bushes. She tried to kick and get away but that just made them tighten their grip. Pulling her to the bushes they threw her to the ground. Again she screamed. One of the men slapped her. "Shut up bitch" as he pulled a knife out from his jacket inside pocket. She looked at it with terror. He bent down to her and whispered in her ear. She could smell his foul breath and bodily stench. "Now bitch if you scream anymore, I'm gonna gut you like a fish. Now sit back and enjoy the ride" with that he slowly moved the knife over her body and started to cut off the buttons on her blouse. Once done he ran the cold steel down her body, from her neck. Cutting her bra off. She was shaking so bad she couldn't scream if she wanted to. She knew what was happening to her. The other man just stood there and then he too bent down to her. Only he came down right on top of her. He started to stroke her hair then slowly his hand moved over her breast. Then lower to her pants. "Well this just won't do" With that he got up and undid her pants and pulled them down. Taking his down right after that. She squirmed some more trying to prevent him from entering her. But he was too strong. And his friend held her down. They continued to rape her repeatedly, each having two or three turns, beating her in between. "I'm through with this bitch. Do with her what you like." The man with the knife just sat there gleaming at her. Again he ran the knife down her body. "Was that good for you bitch?" He continued to stroke her up and down with the knife. Then he bent down and whispered in her ear. "Bye bye Bitch" He put his mouth over hers and forcefully kissed her. At the same time sticking the knife into her. Twisting it. He could see the pain in her eyes as she breathed her last breath.

Prue was standing by the cell door, when Phoebe sat up screaming. Prue rushed over to her baby sister, who recoiled at the touch.

"Phoebe it's me. Come her baby" Prue reached out again. Phoebe didn't move. She just continued to scream. She was sweating and trying to catch her breath. If Prue didn't do something quickly she was going to start to hyperventilate. She reached over and pulled her into her arms. Rubbing her back to get her to calm down.

"Ssssh Pheebs I got you its ok" she reassured her sister. "It was just a bad dream."

They stayed that way for about an hour. Before Phoebe was calm enough to speak. She was too afraid before. Of what might come out. Just as she was about to say something she jumped up and went to the corner of the cell and was sick. "Augh..Twice in one day."

Prue came over to her and put her arm around her shoulder. "Pheebs, sweetie are you ok?"

"I think I will. thanks Prue."

"Anytime baby." Prue assured her. "What happened?"

"That was more then just a bad dream Prue. I think it was a premonition. It was so real. I could feel everything as if it was happening to me. Yet it wasn't me."

"Do you wanna tell me about it?" Prue asked softly.

"Do you remember that big case when I was in NY of that girl they found killed in the park?" she said still shaking from her experience.

"The one where she was raped and beaten repeated before she was killed?"

"Yeah that one. It was all over the papers in NY too. The papers there said it was so gruesome and brutal that they wouldn't print some of the story."

"It was the same here. Every girl in town was terrified to go out. Let alone at night alone. Grams made Piper and I move back in the Manor until they caught the guy. She said it was for her safety. I know it was for mine and Piper's though. Wait Phoebe they caught the guys that did that. In fact I think they executed them."

"They did."

"Wait. Phoebe are you saying …."

"Yes Prue. I just lived what she went through. It was so brutal, and…." She couldn't say anymore. She turned and again made her way across the cell and was sick.

"Oh Phoebe. Come here." Prue sat with her arms out stretched. Phoebe went into them willingly. She curled up on Prue's lap as she leaned against the wall. She cried softly in her sister's arms.

"That wasn't all." She finally said. "I had more nightmares before that. People getting murdered, raped, attacked. It was so real. They mostly went by so quickly. Why did this one stay?"

"I don't know Pheebs." She pulled her sister closer to her. Rocking her in her arms.

"Are we ever gonna get home Prue?"

"Sure we are Pheebs. You know by now, there isn't a demon, a warlock or any other creature that goes bump in the night that can keep us Halliwell girls down."

This made Phoebe laugh. "Yeah and wait till they get a load of Piper."

After a few more hours had passed it was completely dark. Prue looked at her watch, 10:30. Almost twelve hours in the cell now and still nobody had come. They had both finally drifted off to sleep, Prue still holding her sister. When suddenly the lights came on again. Clanging along the bars startled them both awake.

"Sleeping sound I see girls. Well not much longer now."

"What do you want and who are you?" Prue glared at him not letting go of Phoebe.

"Oh all in due time my dear." He said evilly. "I hear your sister had a nasty dream. Wasn't to scary for you I hope." Looking at Phoebe with an evil grin. She just glared back at him. "Yes I know you have the power of premonitions Phoebe that's why we put you here. You see this cell has housed some of San Francisco's most dangerous felons."

Prue glared at him. She knew full well now what he was trying to do. Make Phoebe go slowly crazy by having premonitions of past crimes. Knowing full well that it would make here weaker with each vision that she had not to mention the overall graphics of them. "You bastard!!"

"Now Prudence I am quite sure that your grandmother did not bring you up like that. Now I just came down for a visit to see how my little witches were doing. But if you're going to be rude about it, well I'll leave. Oh and by the way no dinner for you two now." He turned and walked away. "Until tomorrow ladies. G'night." He ran his stick down the cages then it stopped. And the large outside door clanged shut again. Followed by the lights out.

"Phoebe. What ever you do, you have got to try and not have anymore premonitions. Do you understand?"

"Yeah. But Prue you know as well as me that I have not got total control over this. I mean they just seem to happen."

"I know sweetie but you have to try ok?"

"I will. Just hold me when we sleep. I should be ok to get through the night that way."

"You don't even need to ask sweet girl. I will always hold you. Now lets try and get some sleep."

Back at the Manor Piper and Leo were not having much luck.

"There has to something here Leo."

"I know Piper. Keep looking. You guys should really index this thing."

"Yeah when we get some spare time we'll get right on that." She told him a bit harshly. "I'm sorry Leo. I'm just worried."

Pulling her into a hug "I know Piper so am I."

"Why can't it do that flippy thing that it does, when we need it to?"

"I'm sure there is a reason. Piper."

"Augh. Now you sound like Grams. Don't give me that 'a reason for everything' crap." She said to him. "Why if were are supposed to do all this good are they taken away from me. And why can't someone else lend a helping hand?"

With that the book started to do it's thing. The pages were flipping frantically. Till they came to a stop.

"Breaking an evil protection spell." Piper read. "I don't get it."

Leo shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know."

"Ok so what do we do say this spell. And then what."

"I don't know Piper. Maybe it will help us get to them somehow."

"Oh sometimes this is so frustrating. You know Grams could have at least left us some instructions to this whole witch thing."

"I think she wanted to Piper. That was why she wanted Phoebe to come home from NY. She knew her time was near and she wanted to explain things to you. Sort of help out before it was too late."

"I know Leo I just get frustrated sometimes. I didn't mean to take it out on you." She pulled him into a hug.

"Look why don't we take this downstairs and see what else we can find."

"Ok."

They picked up the BOS and headed downstairs. Going over it page to page trying to find anything on the warlock that was after them. After many hours of going through the book and a box of Pizza they finally fell asleep in each other's arms. Leo was the first to wake to the sound of the phone the next day.

"Hello?"

"Leo? Sorry man did I wake you?"

"Darryl? Yeah, it's ok though. We had to get back to something anyway."

Piper too was now awake. Looking at Leo with hope.

"Leo I just wanted to let you guys know that nothing has happened out here. In fact it was a pretty quite night. Any luck at your end?"

"A little, but nothing solid yet. Look Darryl we may come down there later is that gonna be a problem?"

"It shouldn't be. There are a lot of families already here. Wives mostly, of the security guards."

"thanks Darryl. I'll let you know."

"Sure thing Leo. And let Piper know if there is anything I can do just to call me."

"I will. thanks again."

Hanging up the phone Leo looked over at Piper and shook his head. Piper got up from the couch and wondered over to the window.

"We both know that there is nothing that Darryl can do Leo."

"To a point Piper. Once the demon/warlock threat is going we still have to get them out of riot zone."

"I know."

"Come on lets get something to eat and then look in the book again."

"Ok."

Over breakfast Piper had a thought.

"Leo can you orb into the prison and find them?"

"I probably could but I wouldn't even know where to begin."

"Try please."

"Why did we not think of that before?"

"I don't know. You're the Whitelighter. Why didn't you?"

"Ok I'll go see what I can find. I love you."

"Love you too now go, find, orb."

Leo orbed into a dark room that looked like an office. He quietly opened the door to the corridor. Coast was clear. Walking down the hallway all was quiet. Maybe too quiet. Where was everybody? He wondered. Making his way down a set of stairs he came to another door. Slowly opening it he found it led to the courtyard. He could see then that there were large groups of guys all over the yard. In one corner he could see the weight cage, where the prisoner could workout. Inside there was a bunch of guards. Ok so they lock up the guards in the cage so they can keep an eye on them. I can't just orb across to the other side, but I have to get to that other building. He closed the door and thought. I can't just walk across, not dressed like this anyway. A thought came to Leo. He turned around and headed back up stairs. There has to be something somewhere. He looked in every room until he found what he was looking for. Quickly changing he made his way back downstairs. Slowly opening the door again, making sure the coast was clear and that nobody was looking his way, he stepped out into the courtyard. Staying near the wall and trying not to draw attention to himself. He made his way to the cage. Spotting someone that looked like he could be in charge he called out to him. Trying to act the part of a prisoner.

"Hey you there." Pointing at the Warden. "Yeah you. Come over here."

The Warden looked a little apprehensive. He didn't know this prisoner. And he made it his business to know all the prisoner that past through his prison. He slowly got up and walked over to the side of the cage. "What?"

"What happened to those two beauties I saw you with yesterday?"

The Warden looked more confused. None of the prisoners had seen him with the two sisters. In fact no one but some of the guards even knew that they had even arrived before the riot started. "What are you talking about?"

"The one that was supposed to take pictures for that article?" Leo said roughly. He noticed some of the others prisoners were looking in his direction and wanted to get his information quickly and get out of there. Whispering "Look I'm a friend I need to know where they went?"

"I don't know some of the prisoner took them in there." Pointing to the building beside them. "One of them had a knife to the youngest and the older one looked really pissed." Leo turned and looked at the building, then spotted the sign above the door. "Death Row and Maximum Security". Oh crap he thought.

"During the riot did someone let them out?"

"Yeah, I think so. Why?"

"Nothing, I can't explain right now." Leo turned and headed towards the building. Just as he was about to get to the door. Two very large guys stepped in front of him.

"And just where do you think you're going 'pretty boy'?" they asked.

Leo looked up at them. And up was the truth they must have been about 6'6" and built like wrestlers. Must have spent some time in that cage Leo guessed. "I was just looking for someone. I haven't seen since all our commotion yesterday."

"Well there ain't nobody in here that we don't know about. Now get out of here before we get you out."

"Ok" Leo held his hand up in surrender, "no need to tell me twice."

Leo started to walk back to the office building. He could still feel the eye of those two guys watching him. So if that's where the girls are they aren't gonna be easy to get to. But at least now I know. Walking into the other building he orbed to the other buildings. Well at least he tried to. Just as he started to re-materialize he felt extreme pain shooting through his body. Gasping he found himself back in the office building. Falling to his knees he could still feel whatever had caused such pain. Oh God what the heck was that? He wondered. Taking a few minutes to regain himself he orbed out back to the Manor.

Re-appearing back in the living room Leo sank to the couch. Piper had been standing at the window, when she saw his reflection. Turning around she notices the sweat across Leo's face.

"Oh God Leo what's wrong?" She asked with concern and love.

"I'm not sure, I've never encountered that before."

"What? Encountered what before?"

"I tried to orb to this building. Just as I started to re-materialize I felt this extreme pain throughout my whole body. The next thing I knew I was back in the building I started from."

"So what do you think it was?"

Leo just shock his head. Laying it back on the couch.

"Ok stay put I'll get you a wet cloth."

Piper got up and headed to the kitchen and got a wet cloth for Leo. Coming back into the living room he was still siting there. Only this time she could tell by the look on his face that he was thinking about something. Placing the cloth on his forehead. "Here this should make you feel a little better."

"thanks Piper."

Sitting down next to him Piper brushed his hair from his face. "So what were you just thinking?"

"I was just trying to put some pieces together, that's all."

"Are you gonna share? Or do you like keeping me in suspense?"

"Well I was thinking of what just happened to me and the spell that the book opened to."

"What you think they're connected somehow?"

Sitting up and looking at Piper, "Think about it Piper. The spell we found was how to remove an evil protection spell. What if that building I was trying to orb into had a protection spell on it. Preventing any white magic from being used."

"That would explain why you couldn't get in."

"Exactly. But worst of all, it may also mean that Prue wouldn't be able to use her power either."

"What do you mean Prue? What about Phoebe?" Getting worried that he was not telling her something.

"Well most protection spells are to protect you from the other sides magic. Right?"

"Right."

"Well Phoebe has a passive power."

"So you think her power will still work?"

"Yeah. She's not really a threat to them. Now granted she probably can't levitate. So we may be able to get this spell to them. Through her premonitions."

"Yeah but Leo you know that Phoebe doesn't exactly have control over that power."

"I know that's the part I haven't figured out yet."

"Ok but we still need to find out who this warlock is. I mean even if we manage to get them out of there what's to stop whoever from doing this again?"

"Look I'll go see what I can find out from 'them'. You keep looking here. 'k?"

"Ok. I love you."

Kissing her he started to orb out. "Love you too." With that he was gone.

Piper just lifted her head to the sky. "You protected Phoebe once, please be with her and Prue again. I can't lose them."

Prue woke up still holding Phoebe on her lap, as she was leaning against the wall. She started to wonder about something. If Phoebe can get premonitions then maybe…she squinted her eyes to try and move the cell door. Nothing. So whatever they have done it only seems to effect active powers. Or it selective. She thought of Piper at the Manor and tried to astral project. Nothing. Ok so I'm screwed, and Phoebe is gonna keep getting those premonitions until it drives her crazy. She had woken up once during the night to Phoebe thrashing. She had woken her baby sister out of her nightmare and held her close. It wasn't as bad as the last time but it could have been. Prue just looked down at her baby sister. Giving her a kiss on the forehead. "I love you Phoebe."

"I love you too Prue." Phoebe said groggily as she just woke up, her eyes still closed.

"Morning sweetie. How you feeling?"

"Ok under the circumstances. So I guess this is what it's like to be in jail hey?"

Prue looked around. There was a hint of sunlight coming from a window across the building. "Yeah I guess so." She answered quietly.

Phoebe let out a small chuckle. And Prue looked at her curiously. "Is there something you find funny about all of this Pheebs?" She asked with a hint of smile across her face.

"I was just thinking. When I was younger maybe you guys should've put me in jail like this for a day. And I wouldn't have been such a handful."

"Yeah that may have been a good idea." Prue agreed letting out her own laugh.

"Hey I wasn't that bad." Hitting her sister playfully.

"Oh no of course not. Staying out to all hours partying when you were what? 13. Getting into trouble at school, being obnoxious to Grams and me constantly. No you weren't that bad." Prue said with a laugh.

Phoebe sat in her sister's arms and didn't say anything. "Prue?" she finally said barely above a whisper.

Prue looked down at her sister. "Yes honey?"

Phoebe hesitated a few seconds before saying anything "Was I really that bad?"

"Oh Pheebs." As she pulled her baby sister tighter to her. "You are who you are today because of that youthful free spirit. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say all that. That was just who you were, and I love you just the way you are. I may not show it all the time but I do love you with all my heart."

Pulling closer to Prue "I'm sorry for always causing you to worry. I love you too."

They just sat there holding each other. Relishing in the others hidden strengths. Finally Phoebe got up off of Prue. And started to pace the cell like a wild animal.

"Pheebs you ok?"

"No, I'm stuck in prison, and there is some psycho demon out there planning something and there is not a damn thing I can do about it."

Prue got up and wrapped her arm around Phoebe's shoulders. "I know is frustrating Pheebs but we have to believe that Piper and Leo are home right now working something out."

"I know Prue it just…Augh."

Trying to get her sister's mind off their situation if only for a little while Prue asked. "How's you're knee?"

Phoebe looked at Prue and then down to her knee. It had been sore but she didn't want to say anything to Prue. "It's ok." She lied.

"Phoebe."

Phoebe looked up at Prue and could tell that she was reading right through her.

"Ok it's a little sore," She replied quietly.

"Come here." Prue motioned to the bed that they had shared the night before.

Phoebe walked over to the bed and sat down.

"Now sit back so your feet are just off the ground."

Phoebe sat back until her legs and feet swung freely.

"Ok now this may hurt a bit a first. But believe me it'll help take any stiffness away that you may have now. Ready?"

Phoebe just nodded her head wondering what Prue was gonna do. Then she felt a sharp pain and let out a yelp. "Prue what are you trying to do kill me?"

"Sorry, and no I'm just trying to work out your stiffness."

Phoebe looked down and saw what Prue was doing. She was giving her knee a massage. The first bit of pain was when she had first rubbed her thumbs along the small tear.

"Well it sure feels like you're trying to kill me." As she winced again.

"Phoebe. It really shouldn't be this sore. What have you been doing? And don't try and hide anything I can always tell when you're lying to me. Always could." Prue looked at her sternly while still rubbing Phoebe's knee.

Phoebe looked sheepishly at her sister not saying anything.

Prue looked at her again. "Phoebe?"

"Ok there was this little incident with Slam Man." She answered so quiet that Prue almost didn't hear her. But she did.

"WHAT?! When?"

"The other day. You were taking your photos into work and Piper was a the club." Phoebe hung her head down trying to avoid her sister's glare. She didn't think they would find out.

"Phoebe what were you thinking?" She asked her maybe a bit to harshly.

Phoebe didn't say anything. She knew she wasn't supposed to over do it. She was just tired of sitting around doing nothing. And what if a demon came. How was she suppose to protect herself let alone help her sisters if she didn't get her knee back up to par?

Prue stopped rubbing Phoebe's knee, and just placed her hand on top of it. "Phoebe?"

Again silence. Prue stood up and sat down beside her sister wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Pulling her close to her. "Oh Pheebs I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just that I worry about you and Piper. I don't want to see anything happen to you guys. When you hurt I hurt."

Phoebe just leaned against Prue and let out a sniff. She was holding back her tears. "I'm the one that should be sorry Prue. I knew what I was doing. And I also knew I wasn't supposed to be over doing it. But I was getting frustrated. What if we got attacked by a demon and I wouldn't be able to help."

"Oh Pheebs. What am I going to do with you? Maybe you were right earlier."

Phoebe looked at Prue confused. "Right about what?"

"Maybe we should have put you in jail for a day or two when you were younger." Still holding her sister with her one arm Prue reach over with the other and ruffled Phoebe's hair.

"Oh you." As Phoebe reached over with her arm and tickled Prue.

"Augh stop it."

"Hey you started it."

"Whatever. Here let me finish your knee."

"Just be careful will you?"

"I don't think so sista. You brought this on yourself."

Phoebe sat back against the wall as Prue again started to massage her knee. Wincing every now and then as Prue hit a soft spot. When she was done Phoebe had tears in her eyes.

"Sorry Phoebe but it had to be done."

"I know." She answered quietly

"Now turn around and put this under your knee and stay put." Taking off her jacket, rolling it up and placing it under Phoebe's knee.

"Stay put. Hahaha. Where am I suppose to go?" Phoebe said with a smile.

"Well knowing you, you'd find a way to go for a jog or something."

"Ha ha ha." Sticking her tongue at Prue.

Sitting on the other end of the bed Prue looked at her watch. 1130. Over 24hrs she thought. She wondered what was happening outside. She hadn't heard much since last night. She was taken from her thoughts when she heard the main door opening again. The lights flickered back to life and again the clanging of metal running down the cell bars.

"Good morning ladies. Sleep well I hope."

Prue and Phoebe both just glared at him not saying word.

"Cat go your tongues this morning girls. Or should I say 'Kit?'"

Again no reply.

He reached in his pocket and drew something out. Prue instinctively got up and stepped in front of Phoebe.

"Oh you were always playing the protector weren't you Prue?" Holding out his hand to reveal a key. Placing it in the lock he opened the cell door. Gesturing for the girls to come out. "Please."

They didn't move, largely because they didn't trust him.

"Oh come ladies. I haven't got all day, so please don't make me call some of the boys to remove you by force. I just hate violence. Don't you?"

Prue turned to Phoebe and helped her up. Picking up her jacket and putting it back on, they slowly walked to the cell door never taking their eyes off of him. He pointed down the corridor the opposite direction that he had come.

"This way please ladies."

They started walking down the corridor passed all the now empty cells. Prue had purposely had Phoebe in front of her so that she was in between her and their captor. At the end of the corridor there was a set of stairs as well as another corridor. Phoebe stopped, as she did not know which way she was to go.

"Down the stairs if you please Phoebe."

She slowly made her way down the stairs. At the bottom there were several doors and corridors. She waited at the bottom for Prue and the man. He gestured to one door. Above the door frame she could see the words 'kitchen'. Food she thought. Thank god I'm starving. I haven't eaten since yesterday morning. She placed her hand on the doorknob and slowly turned it, turning to look at Prue for reassurance. Prue nodded and Phoebe pushed open the door. They entered the large eating area that was totally empty. The door closed automatically behind them. Looking around the room it was completely empty except for a few pieces of table and chairs all in a row. They hadn't stepped any further in for they were unsure of what to do.

"Please ladies take a seat. I thought you might like some lunch. No harm done I assure you."

Prue looked at him with untrust in her eyes. And Phoebe didn't move at all.

"Go. Sit. I'll have someone bring something out for you."

He disappeared into the back.

"Prue I don't like this. Something just seems wrong."

Prue looked at her sister. "Did you have a premonition Phoebe?"

"No it just…I don't know it doesn't seem right. Why would he bring us here to have lunch? Why not just give it to us in the cell?"

"I don't know Phoebe. But I think you may be right."

He came back out carrying four bowls and a pot of what smelled like soup. Placing it on the table in front of them. He placed each bowl at a chair along with a spoon. Then he proceeded to ladle out each bowl.

"Come ladies please sit and enjoy. I knew you wouldn't trust me so I brought the whole pot out. This way you will know that I am eating the same soup that you are."

Neither sister made an effort to move.

"Oh where are my manners. You're probably wondering why I have four bowls, and why I have brought you down here to have you lunch." He said, "well I thought I would ask a friend of mine to join us. He is an excellent cook. You don't mind do you? Of course not."

He turned towards the kitchen.

"Are you coming or not?" He hollered. "The soup is getting cold."

Phoebe moved closer to Prue. Something was not right and she could feel it in the air.

Just then Phoebe saw him. Wheeling in from the kitchen. Not taking his eyes off of her. Prue also saw him. Phoebe slowly backed up only to bump into the table and chairs behind her, causing her to fall. She crept along the floor trying to get further away from him. She kept repeating "no,no,no" Prue turned to help her sister up. But she just kept trying to get away. He kept moving forward not saying a word. Their captor was taking in the scene with great joy. Seeing the sisters' squirm was giving him GREAT pleasure. Prue had finally managed to help Phoebe back to her feet. Holding her close. Phoebe was still trying to back away from the man. The man who had terrorized her nightmares for the past 6months, who would have killed her if her sisters had not found her in time. The man that had brutally butchered that family. There sat Nick Baxter.

Phoebe had no place to go. She had managed to make her way to the wall. She was trapped. Prue held her tight, as Phoebe buried her face in Prue shoulder not wanting to look at the monster in front of her.

"Phoebe so good to see you again, and your sister is just as lovely as you are." He said. "Please sit we never did get to have our soup."

Piper was pacing back and forth in the living room. Oh God please let them be ok. She thought. She had been through the BOS backwards and forwards and could find nothing on a warlock that could change people into demons. I thought it was a person choice. Like selling your soul. Wait that's it. He doesn't take them he goes to them. Offers them something better, and in return he gets his demons. Augh we've been looking for the wrong thing. Ok back to the book. As she was flipping through the pages Leo orbed back in.

"Any luck?" He asked.

"No but I did have a thought."

"Yeah?"

"Well we've been looking for a warlock that takes humans and turns them into demons. Just before they die. Hence they live and carry on their life yet they are demons to serve him. Right?"

"Yeah."

"Leo they can't do that. A person has to go willingly. So instead of a warlock that 'takes ' their soul it's a warlock that offers them something better. He 'offers' it to them."

"Hence they are going willingly."

"Exactly."

"So what did you find?"

"Well not much I just started to look again. For what I'm hoping is the right thing. But I'm sure I saw something in her about that. Any luck at your end?"

"Maybe. It seems that there are certain levels of demons/warlocks that can cast a protection spell to prevent a witch or a Whitelighter from using their power. It's usually only isolated to a small area though. But there are some then can project it over a larger area."

"Like a whole building."

"Exactly."

"Ok any idea how we're supposed to get this spell to Prue and Phoebe?"

"Well you would have to some how do it through Phoebe's premonitions."

"Leo she has premonitions she doesn't read minds."

"Piper it's your guys bond that makes you the Charmed Ones. It's through that connection that you may be able to reach Phoebe. I would suggest you do it at night though, when you're both sleeping. Your both relaxed then."

"I don't know Leo it sounds like a long shot."

"Piper right know it's the only shot we got."

Piper knew that Leo was right. Right now that was the only shot they had. Once they were safe they would deal with this warlock. First get Prue and Phoebe safe and sound, then vanquish the demons and take out the warlock. Piece of cake. Just another boring week in the lives of the Halliwell sisters.

"Ok Leo it's 1230 now. Let's take this spell and a few blankets and head out to the prison. That way we'll be closer when the time comes to do this."

"Ok, I'll get the blankets you rewrite the spell. I don't imagine you wanna take the whole book with you?"

"No that would be a bit obvious I think. Blankets are up in the hall closet next to Prue's room."

Leo ran up stairs and grabs 3-4 blankets as Piper was writing the spell out. And thinking of the night ahead. Meeting in the front foyer. Piper grabbed her jacket and keys and they headed out the door, towards the prison.

Meanwhile back in jail

Prue held a VERY distraught Phoebe. Who was clinging to Prue and crying uncontrollably.

"You bastards!"

"Prudence we really should do something about that word you keep using. I invite you and your sister down for lunch and this is the gratitude I get. I'm shocked to say the least." He says to her very calmly. He is enjoying ever minute of this. Seeing Prue lose control and Phoebe, totally helpless against her memories.

"Don't give me that crap. You knew what this would do to her. You keep that monster away from her and me."

"Now Prudence, Mr. Baxter here happens to be a very good friend of mine and I don't like what you are insinuating."

"I'm not insinuating anything. He is a monster that butchered a family, escaped and then held my sister against her will. When she discovered his little secret of butchering another family he almost KILLED her."

"Well that's is your opinion now isn't it."

"Yes it is." She glared back at him. Turning to Phoebe she rocked her sister back and forth. Rubbing her back. "Ssssshhh sweetie you have to try and calm down. I'm here and I'm not going to let anything happen to you."

"Phoebe?" Nick said. "I didn't mean to scare you. It's just that when I heard that you were here I thought we could have that bowl of soup we were going to have. Until your sisters came and took you away, and that policeman shot me."

"Don't you talk to her, you bastard." Prue glared at him. She wished her powers would work. She would love to throw him against a wall right about now.

"Ok that is quite enough now Prudence. If you are going to insist on calling out insults I may have to return you to your cell with no lunch." He stated angrily. "Now I know that neither one of you has eaten since at least yesterday morning. What's it going to be?"

"We would rather starve then eat here with you two."

"So be it. I'll get someone to return you to your cell." He pulled a radio out of his pocket and spoke into it. A few minutes later two big prisoners entered the kitchen dining area.

"You needed a hand boss?"

"Yes. It would seem that the company of my friend offends Miss Halliwell here." Pointing at Prue. "Please see that she is returned safely to her cell."

"Sure thing boss" they approached Prue and Phoebe, one took Prue by the arm and pulled her towards the door. While the other one grabbed hold of Phoebe.

"Oh no, no boys. Please be gentle. And it's only Prudence that shall be returning to their cell. Phoebe will stay and eat with us."

Prue turned and tried to break away from the man holding her, but he was to strong.. There was no way she was going to leave Phoebe there with those two. One had terrorized her and the other one. Well that she hadn't quite figured out yet. But she knew he meat no good when it came to Phoebe. Especially after the little show in the courtyard yesterday.

"Prue don't leave me here." Phoebe hollered after her sister. She was trying every martial arts move she could think of. He finally just picked her up off the ground, but she continued to thrash in his arms. Banging over chairs and tables in the process.

The first guy had finally managed to get a good grip on Prue and lifted her up off the ground as well and carried her out of the dining area. "PHOEBE!! Put me down. PHOEBE!!" He acted as if he didn't even hear her. Walking back up the stairs and along the corridor he finally came to their cell. Tossing her back into it like a rag doll. She immediately jumped back up and ran to the door. But she was not fast enough. The door was soon closed. And the guy was walking away, back towards the kitchen. "PHOOOEEEEEBBBBEEEE!!"

"PRUUUUUEEEE! Put me down you big lug."

"Now, now Phoebe you're going to hurt yourself. We can't have that now can we?"

"Let me go!" She said again, as she continued to thrash around in the man's arms.

"Phoebe, you must learn to control your temper." He looked up to the man that was holding her and nodded. And with that he let her go. Letting her fall to the ground. Unfortunately for Phoebe it was not a very graceful fall or a short one. She was at least two feet off the ground due to the size of the man holding her. And, because of her thrashing about she did not fall straight down but at an angle to the right. Landing full force on her right leg it gave out immediately on impact jarring a searing pain through her knee.

"AAAAAUUUUUGGGHH!" She screamed as she clutched her right knee.

"Now Phoebe if you were not throwing yourself around you would not have gotten hurt. I told you that would happen now didn't I."

Nick wheeled his chair over to her. As she lay on the floor writhing in pain. Looking up at the big guy that had dropped her. "You could have placed her down. You did not have to drop her like that. Now go into the kitchen and get a dish towel, and fill a bag with some ice."

The guy didn't even budge. He just looked at Phoebe on the floor tears streaming out of her eyes.

"NOW!"

The guy looked up at his boss for direction. Getting a nod he headed towards the kitchen. He soon returned with the items requested. Handing them to Nick he took a step back.

"Oh Phoebe I'm so sorry. You were the only person that was ever nice to me. Here please sit up and put this on your knee. Then maybe we can have that soup."

Phoebe made no effort to move.

"Phoebe please take this. You really need to apply ice to that or it's going to swell up. Did I not look after you when you were sick? Hmm? Please take this."

Phoebe wanted to take the ice pack because she knew it would make her knee feel better but she couldn't move. She was frozen with terror and pain all at once. Terror from seeing that monster again that haunted her dreams for so long and the pain in her knee. She knew if she moved it would hurt like hell.

"Ok how about I place it right her beside you. Then when you're ready you can take it." Nick placed the ice pack right next to her knee so that it was almost touching her. Then backed away.

Phoebe slowly reached for the ice pack and pulled it closer to her knee. The little pressure she applied hurt but she knew it had to be done. Wincing in pain she held it there, tears steaming down her face.

"Pick her up and bring her here so she can have some lunch." The boss said to the big guy that had dropped her. As the big guy approached Phoebe and bent down to pick her up. "Carefully, she doesn't need any more bruises on her." He carefully picked her up and carried her over to the table that had the soup ladled out, then place her down on one of the chairs.

"Now we eat."

Phoebe just stared at her soup as the other two ate. She had tears running down her face. But she tried to keep the sobs to herself. She wanted to scream again as the pain was getting to much for her. She knew that in the fall she had re-injured her knee and maybe done even more damage.

"Phoebe you're not eating."

She just looked up and glared at him.

"Oh I see that you have some of your sisters hot temper in you. Well it's your loss. I'm not sure of when you will be getting to eat again. The Master should be here soon and then we will really start to have some fun. Hey."

Phoebe knew that the Master, whoever he was, was really after Prue's powers. This demon guy or whatever he was had told them that yesterday. I was the added bonus. However she also knew that she would not come out of this unscathed. May as well have something to eat. Maybe I can convince them to let me take some to Prue if I co-operate. She slowly picked up the spoon and started to eat some of the soup.

Prue heard Phoebe scream. Oh God she thought. What the hell are they doing to her? Oh Phoebe, please don't do anything crazy. For the longest time she stood at the cell door looking towards the way to the kitchen. Unfortunately she couldn't see anything. But she stayed there anyway. After about 45min she sat back on the bed resting her head in her hands. She could only imagine the nightmare that Phoebe was going through. When she said she wanted to face her own demons I don't think this is what she had in mind. After another 15-20 min. she got up and stared to pace the cell. She turned suddenly, when she heard footsteps getting louder. On the other side of the cell door was the goon that had ripped Phoebe from her arms in the kitchen. Now he stood there holding Phoebe in his arms along with the guy that had been taunting them from the start. Taking out the key again he unlocked the cell door. The big guy carried Phoebe over to the bed and gently placed her down. He then turned and walked out of the cell. Prue rushed over to Phoebe, seeing the ice pack on her knee and her red puffy eyes from crying, she could feel her temper starting to boil. Taking the key out of the cell door and closing it behind him. He then disappeared to what Prue imagined was the next cell as she then heard it open the close again. He came back and stuffed another pillow through the bars.

"For her knee." He then handed the key back to their captor and walked away.

"What did you do to her?" Prue asked, with so much venom in her voice it would have scared a rattler.

"I didn't lay a finger on her. After you left she hurt herself. I told her not to be thrashing around like she was, but you Halliwell girls are all so stubborn, she wouldn't listen. We did have a lovely lunch though shame you couldn't have stayed. But I am true to my word. And your little sister has quite away to influence people. Here I brought you some, or I guess actually she did." He handed a bowl of soup out to Prue through the slot in the cell door.

At first she just starred at him not trusting him. Turning to Phoebe she wanted confirmation that it was ok.

"Phoebe?"

Her little sister just nodded. Prue stood up and took the bowl. Then headed back to Phoebe.

"Well I must run ladies, it was a pleasure having your company Phoebe. Maybe next time your sister won't be so temperamental and she can stay. Now I must go and prepare for the Master. He tells me he is on his way here. Time is almost near. G'day ladies." And he turned and walked away. Once again clanging his metal stick against the cell bars of each cell he passed. Turning out the lights again and locking the main door.

After the main door was closed Prue turned to Phoebe who lay on the bed very quiet and still, with a few tears running down her face.

"Phoebe? You ok sweetie?" Prue was scared. Phoebe was to quiet. "Phoebe please say something your starting to scare me." Prue gently brushed Phoebe hair from her face and could see that she was crying softly. She had almost withdrawn into her safe world. A world where no one could hurt her. It was a world that Prue did not want her to go to. She knew that if she did she might not ever get her back.

"Phoebe, sweetie you have to talk to me. Please don't withdraw on me now. You have to tell me what happened." Nothing was working.

Prue sat up on the bed and pulled Phoebe gently onto her lap. Phoebe let out small cry of pain, which gave Prue hope. She's not totally gone. Gently rocking her back and forth and rubbing her back Prue was finally reaching her baby sister. "I love you Pheebs."

"I…I..I l…love y…you t…..too P…P…Prue."

"Oh sweet girl what did they do to you?"

"H…He dropped me."

"Oh Phoebe I'm sorry. If I hadn't shot my mouth off and lost my temper."

"It's not your fault Prue." Phoebe replied as she slowly regained her composure.

"Did you hurt your knee?" Looking down at Phoebe's knee and ice pack attached to it.

Phoebe just nodded her head

"Oh my God. That was when I heard you scream."

Phoebe just nodded her head again.

"Oh Phoebe I heard you scream and I felt so helpless."

"It's ok Prue you're here now. Just hold me." Holding tightly to Prue's shirt she snuggled into her big sisters arms, resting her head on Prue's shoulder/chest.

"I got you, and I'll never leave you like that again I promise."

They sat like that the rest of the day. Talking about everything and nothing. After all they had nothing else to do. They were trapped inside a prison that was still in the middle of a riot and prisoners take over. In fact Prue soon realized that they were probably better off where they were. If the other prisoners knew they were here, God only knows what they would've had to endure.

Another night was soon approaching. Prue could see the outside getting darker then the floodlights going on in the courtyard. This can't go on much longer, she thought. They will eventually see that the police aren't going to let them go and they will soon start to run out of food. Looking at her watch 1030pm. She looked down at Phoebe who was sleeping in her arms. Her ice pack was now liquid, long ago melted. She took the extra pillow and propped it against the bed frame and the wall. She slowly eased herself down so as not to wake Phoebe. Closing her eyes she too was soon lost in sleep.

"Leo are you sure this will work?"

"Piper I already told you. I don't know. You just have to trust in the bond that makes you three sisters, and most of all the Charmed Ones. It's that bond that makes you guys so strong. Now sit back and think of them. The good times that you've shared even the bad ones, all the times that you have bonded together as sisters."

Piper had no trouble falling to sleep. The events of the last two days were starting to take there toll her, both physically and emotionally. They had spoken to Darryl when they arrived, and he had explained to them that the prisoners wanted to speak to the Governor, about changes. It appears that they fell that they should be treated better then they are. And that he was now on his way there. They had joked about him bringing a whole entourage with him. Makes this some big political thing. People's lives are at stake and all he cares about is getting re-elected. They had already spoken to Prue's boss as well and he too was coming out, concerned for his top photographer. Piper was soon sleeping, thinking of her sisters. At first worried about them trapped inside the prison. But then she started to remember all the times they had enjoyed together. Trying to reach Phoebe or even Prue. Thinking of the spell they had to say to remove the protection spell that was over the building.

Phoebe stirred in her sleep, calling Piper's name. Prue woke up after hearing her sister. Gently rubbing her back to get her to go back to sleep. "Sssshhhh Pheebs it's ok I got you." It had worked; her baby sister was soon back to sleep.

Morning came and Prue was the first awake. She slowly sat up careful not to wake Phoebe. She twisted around on the bed and gently placed her sister down on it. She stirred but did not wake. Taking the second pillow, she carefully lifted Phoebe's knee, and placed it underneath giving it some support. She sat on the floor just watching her sister sleep. Gently stroking the top of her head, "Oh my sweet baby girl. What mess have we got ourselves into this time?"

She turned suddenly when she heard a sound behind her. There was nobody there, but she could hear what sounded like someone running. Then she noticed it. Up against the cell bars was a small bucket. She got up and reached for it. The bucket was too big to fit through the bars but the contents weren't. At the bottom of the bucket she could see a bunch of ice. On top of that was a bag full of what looked like medical supplies. Wrapped around a small bottle was a note. She went over to the bed and picked up what was left of Phoebe's ice pack. Dumping out the water, she reached through the bars and refilled the bag. The re-wrapped the cloth around it. Placing it beside Phoebe on the bed. She then reached in and grabbed the bag that contained two small bottles, a cotton swab and a needle. Opening the bag, she unwrapped the note that was around one of the bottles she read it:

Heard what happened, wanted to help. A Friend. Trust me.

Ok she thought, we have a criminal with a conscience. One bottle had disinfectant/freezing in it, the other cortisone. Picking them up she walked over to the bed. Well this should help her knee anyway. I'll wait till she wakes on her own. She then thought and started to chuckle to herself, mind you knowing how much Phoebe LOVES shots, maybe I should do it while she is sleeping. Unfortunately that was not an option. So she waited and continued to watch her sister sleeping. After about a half-hour she stirred. Prue turned from her position by the cell door and looked down to her. "Morning sleepy head."

"Morning. What time is it? I feel like I've been sleeping forever."

Looking down at her watch Prue answered. "945." Pausing a bit she continued. "We had a visitor."

"Oh" Phoebe looked up at her and forgetting about her knee started to sit up. Giving a screech as a shot of pain ran through her knee.

"Hey easy there kiddo." Helping Phoebe sit up. "Yeah. Seems he heard what happened yesterday and brought you some relief."

Phoebe looked confused. So Prue pointed to the fresh ice pack at her feet.

"Oh ice!" she said with relief. "Who is my saviour?"

"I don't know. I was sitting on the floor with my back to the bars and I heard a noise and then someone running away. I noticed it all sitting in bucket."

Phoebe looked out toward the cell bars. "What bucket?"

"I threw it over the side. I wasn't sure who it was but they left this attached." Handing Phoebe the note. "So I didn't want our 'friend' finding out."

Phoebe read the note and looked at Prue. "Mystery man I love it" she said with a little sparkle in her eye.

Prue just looked at her and shock her head. "Yeah well you may not love him to much when you see what else he brought."

Phoebe was the look on Prue's face and was somewhat confused. "He brought the key to get us out of here?"

"Now you are in a dream world. No, pain relief in a liquid form." Pulling out the bag that contained the needle and two bottles from under the bed.

"Oh no. Don't even think that you're going to stick that thing in my knee Prue. I love you, you're my sister, but that is NOT gonna happen."

"Phoebe it's for you own good."

"Yeah so was your massage and look what that got me. Pain and tears."

"Phoebe we're doing this and that is final." She said in a stern yet loving voice.

Phoebe just looked at her. Neither one willing to budge on their decision.

"Ok Phoebe, let me put this to you another way. The way I see it you have but three choices. 1: You can drop your pants and do this willingly. 2: I can rip your pants and we can do this by force, or 3: We don't do this at all, and you can sit here in pain for who knows how long and kiss the rest of the baseball season goodbye when we do get out of here. Your choice."

Prue was hoping that the prospect of no ball for the rest of the season would get Phoebe to co-operate. She hated sitting on the sidelines and had already missed two games due to her little slide into second base.

Phoebe stood up and glared at Prue. She knew just what buttons to push to get me to co-operate doesn't she, she thought as she started at her pant buttons. "You know I hate you right now don't you?"

"Yes Phoebe I do. But I also know that you'll forgive me in time. And possibly even thank me. Though I'll have to wait awhile for the later I'm sure."

Phoebe sat back down on the bed and looked up to the ceiling, not wanting to watch Prue stick the needle in her knee. Prue took out the cotton swab and the Disinfectant/freezing and rubbed some on Phoebe's knee. Waiting a few minutes for the freezing to take effect she took out the bottle of cortisone. Touching Phoebe's knee where she applied the freezing. "Can you feel anything here?"

Phoebe looked down to see if Prue was actually touching her knee. Then shock her head no, and returned her gaze to the ceiling. Prue waited a few minutes more to make sure that Phoebe wasn't looking and that the freezing was definitely in her system. She wanted to do this as painless as possible. She placed her hand on Phoebe's knee so she wouldn't move it and slowly entered the needle into her knee. Then pushing on the syringe to let the cortisone go into the muscles. Once done she again applied the disinfectant to the spot where she had given the shot. Waiting a few more minutes she then stood up. Not saying anything to Phoebe for she knew she would get no answer anyway.

Phoebe saw Prue stand up and just looked at her. She had turned around and walked over to the cell door. Phoebe didn't say anything; she just sat there a minute. She then carefully stood and pulled her pants back up. Sitting back on the bed she adjusted the pillow so it helped support her knee. Then she took the ice pack and placed it on her knee. Laying back down and turning a bit to face the wall, she closed her eyes and let out the tears quietly. She had known despite not looking when Prue had given her the shot. She always did. It wasn't the first time they had had that same argument. Prue always won. She slowly fell back to sleep.

The quiet of the cell was deafening. Prue had noticed that Phoebe had gone back to sleep. Feeling a little guilty at what she had to do to her sister, she sat on the floor leaning against the bars, just watching her sleep. It seemed that the actual riot itself had calmed down some. It seemed now that they were just going about their business with no guards watching over them. Just free time in the prison, she thought. She closed her eyes and thought of the situation they were in. Hopefully Piper can think of something. God we don't even know what we're up against, What the polite demon? She laughed a bit at that thought. Yeah right a polite demon. He's just doing that to keep us off balance. After that little show in the courtyard with Phoebe the other day, he is ANYTHING but polite. He will do anything to weaken us. Looking over to her sister, "We will make it out of this Phoebe. We have to." She noticed that Phoebe seemed to be restless in her sleep and she hoped that she was not having another vision. Getting up she walked across the cell and started to wake her.

"Phoebe. Phoebe wake up."

Phoebe sat straight up. "Piper." Wincing again at the pain in her knee.

Prue looked at her somewhat confused. "Phoebe what is it what did you see?" Thinking that something had now happened to Piper.

Looking at Prue "Piper was trying to tell me something."

"What do you mean trying to tell you something."

"She came to me in my dream, or vision. Oh I don't know it's to confusing. All I know is she wants us to say a spell at noon."

"What spell?"

"The one she gave me."

"Phoebe this doesn't make sense."

"I don't understand it either Prue but some of it I think I do."

Prue looked at her even more confused.

"Think about it Prue. What is the one thing that every demon or warlock has ever said about us."

Prue looked at her then realized what she was saying. "That we are strongest together. That's why they are always trying to separate us, or take us on one-by-one."

"Exactly. So at noon we sit here and concentrate on Piper as she is sitting out there concentrating on us and we say the spell together."

"So what is this spell anyway."

"I'm not sure but I think it has something to do with your powers not working."

"So until then we wait."

"I guess so."

"Ok." Prue got up and started for her place on the floor.

"Prue."

She stopped and turned to look at Phoebe, not saying anything. Phoebe patted the side of the bed for her to sit there. "Please."

Prue walked back over to the bed and sat on the edge. Looking at Phoebe and brushing her hair off her face. "I'm sorry Phoebe. I know you don't like the shots. I shouldn't have pushed you."

"I'm the one who's sorry Prue. I shouldn't have acted like big baby."

"True, but you're my baby and don't you ever forget that." She said with a smile.

Phoebe just laughed. Sitting further forward so Prue could sit right back against the wall, she then laid back down with her head on Prue's lap. "We're gonna make it aren't we Prue?"

"Hey, the power of three remember. Nothing can beat that."

"I sure hope this works. I can't wait to get a load of the look on that guys face when you throw him against the wall."

Prue laughed, "Yeah me too."

They sat like that until just before noon.

Piper woke from the back of the jeep in the morning. With Leo just outside watching her.

"Morning beautiful."

"Morning yourself." She replied as she leaning forward and gave him a kiss. "Hmmm is that coffee I smell?"

"Yep fresh brew. Here, just how you like it."

"Oh I knew there was a reason I loved you."

"So not to ruin the mood or anything here but, did it work?"

"I think so."

"You think so?" he asked

"Leo I don't know for sure. I mean this is a new thing for us to be doing. I won't know if it worked until I see my sisters safe and sound." She said frustrated.

Pulling her into a hug. "I know I'm sorry honey."

She didn't say anything, just stayed in his arms feeling safe. Praying that her message got through to her sisters.

The rest of the day all they could do was wait. Darryl would wander over every now and again to see how they were holding up. And the place was crawling with news crews from all over Southern California it seemed. The Governor was expected to arrive today and everyone wanted to know what he was going to do about the situation. The biggest demand was for better living arrangements.

As noon approached Piper got nervous, and Leo could see it. Wrapping his arms around her from behind, giving her, his love and support.

"You can do this Piper, you all can."

"Just hold me right now Leo."

They just stood there not wanting to move. She could feel his love for her and for her sisters, and she could also feel her love for him and for her sisters. Taking a deep breath she knew it was time. Not letting go of Leo she headed towards the back of the jeep. Turning in Leo's arms she reached up and gave him a kiss.

"Thank you."

"What did I do?"

"Just for being here. Giving me strength."

Kissing her back, "You're welcome."

She climbed into the back of the jeep so no one would notice what she was doing. Hoping they would just think that she was just resting. She concentrated on Prue and Phoebe. At first nothing happened, but then she felt it. Small at first, but then it grew. Like a warm glow over her body, she had reached them.

Phoebe still had her head on Prue's lap her eyes closed but she was not sleeping. Prue just sat there twirling with Phoebe's hair. They had been sitting in silence for over an hour now. Neither one wanting to say anything. Phoebe was still a little mad at Prue over the whole needle incident and Prue knew it. I'll make it up to her when we get out of here she thought. Glancing at her watch she noticed the time.

"Phoebe it's time."

Phoebe opened her eyes and looked up at Prue. Sitting up she turned around and took Prue's hands in hers. Neither one saying a word. Closing their eyes concentrating on Piper. Phoebe stopped for a minute, opened her eyes and looked at Prue.

"Prue?"

Opening her eyes she looked across at her baby sister. She could see so much in her eyes. Love, worry, and fear. Reaching across she pulled her into an embrace.

"I love you Prue."

"I love you too Phoebe. Now lets get out of here. Ok? We got some demon butt to kick." Pushing a stray piece of hair from Phoebe's face. She took Phoebe's hand and closed her eyes. Phoebe did the same. Concentrating on Piper the same thing happened. At first nothing. Then they too felt it. A warm glow over their bodies. They had found their connection. The Power of Three. The spell seemed to come naturally to Prue and Phoebe. It was as if they could see the BOS and they were reading it right from the pages of their ancestor's book. They started to chant:

"Powers of evil that bind the light,
The powers of light shall now unbind."

They started quietly at first getting a feel for the spell and its meaning. But as their connection grew stronger, they became as one. Getting louder and louder. Then they just stopped. Nothing happened to make them think that they were to stop. They just knew. It was done.

Piper opened her eyes and looked to Leo. He was standing just outside the jeep looking at her, smiling. He knew they had connected, and that they had unbound the protection spell. She crawled out of the jeep, hugging him and then giving him another kiss.

"I knew you could do it." He finally said to her.

"Yeah sure you did." She replied up to him. "Now if only you could go in there and get them out."

"I think that would be a bit obvious Piper. And how would we explain that?"

"I know. But a girl can wish can't she. So now that that is done what next?"

"Well the two of them alone should be able to take on the demons that are in there. They are not the strong ones it's the warlock that will take all three of you."

"So now we rely on Phoebe's wonderful spell writing."

"Hey she is very good at that."

"I know, it just that…." She didn't finish.

"What?"

"Well when we were connected I could sense something, something that just wasn't right."

"Like what?"

"I'm not sure, something was bothering them. It was like a small undercurrent that kept tugging."

"I'm sure they're fine."

"I hope so."

Prue opened her eyes and looked over at Phoebe. Still with her eyes closed. She didn't move. Prue made no effort to let go of Phoebe's hands. She just starred over at her. After what seemed like eternity she finally had to say something.

"Phoebe? You ok?"

"I think so." She replied as she opened her eyes.

Prue let go of one of her hands and moved it up to cup Phoebe's face. "We did good hey?"

Phoebe just nodded. She was still a little overwhelmed at what just happened. She of the three had always known that they had a strong connection but she wasn't sure she was ready to face it just quite yet. Taking her other hand from Prue she reached over and hugged her eldest sibling. "So what do we do now?"

"Well first we have to get rid Mr. Creepy."

"Ok so we need a spell, I do believe that's my department. At least now we have a better idea of what's going on." Phoebe said with new ambition. Through their connection Piper was able to give them some idea of what they were up against. A warlock that 'offers' humans a 'better way of life', a chance to live yet serve him.

"Yeah and I think that would also explain your nightmare the other day." As soon as she had said it Prue regretted it. She saw the look on Phoebe's face turn from hope to near fear again. Pulling her close. "I won't let you face that alone again honey. I promise."

"I know Prue thanks. Now spell, Phoebe think." She tapped her finger to her head as if in thought.

After about an hour Phoebe thought she had what they would need. "Ok I think I got it." Not looking up to Prue, who had spent most of the time either leaning against the cell bars or pacing. She knew that Phoebe had to do this on her own, and had to concentrate at it. Walking over to the bed she looked down at what Phoebe had written. She smiled slightly; God she is good at this whole spell thing isn't she. She thought.

"Do you think it will work?"

"Yeah it should, but I guess the only way to find out is try it."

"Ok so we should get them together. I'm thinking that it's just Mr. Creepy and Baxter that have been turned. Otherwise we would have seen more." She saw Phoebe flinch at the mention of his name. Wrapping an arm over her sisters shoulder. "It's ok to be scared Phoebe, I am too."

Phoebe looked up at Prue. She never admitted her feelings to anybody. Well maybe Piper, but never to me. She thought.

"I'm ok. As long as you're with me, I can face this animal." She said as she rested her head on Prue shoulder.

"I'm not going anywhere kiddo. Not this time."

"Ok so do we wait for them, or do we go out there looking for them?"

"Well they seem to think that our powers aren't working. So why not wait for them. We can't go anywhere anyway. Not while the prison is still under the prisoners control. Which makes me think that we're safer here anyway."

Phoebe looked puzzled at this comment.

"Think about it Phoebe. We're two women in a prison with no protection."

"Oh, I see what you mean. Maybe we should just stay here then and wait for the cavalry."

Prue laughed, "We could. But what about our 'friends'. Don't worry I think I have an idea on how we can kick some demon butt and still come out of this unharmed."

"You going to share big sister or do you enjoy keeping me in the dark?"

Prue thought for a bit, "Right now the dark." She answered with a smile.

"Oh you." Phoebe said as she swatted her sister.

The next thing they knew there was an all out tickle war on. Unfortunately for Phoebe her bad knee was effecting any chance she had at getting the upper hand. The next thing she knew she was on the bed with Prue sitting on top of her tickling her. "Say it!"

"No!"

"Come on Phoebe you can't win this one. Just say Uncle."

Laughing hysterically, "Never." Trying ever thing she could to get Prue off her. Suddenly her laughter turned to tears, and screams. Prue suddenly stopped and jumped off her sister. Sitting beside her she pulled her onto her lap. She knew what had happened. She heard the knock on the wall. Phoebe cuddled into her sobbing and clutching her knee. "I'm sorry Phoebe." Calming her sister down.

"It's not your fault Prue," She sniffed. "I should have just said Uncle."

"You're just to stubborn to give up. That's one of the things I love about you."

Phoebe didn't say anything. She just sat there on Prue lap.

Outside they could hear the prisoners yelling and almost taunting the police. Prue knew that things were about to come to ahead in more ways than one. Then she heard it again, like many times before. The key in the door and the lights flickering on, followed by the metal bar being run down the bars of the cells that it passed by.

Prue looked down at Phoebe who was still on her lap, at the same time that Phoebe looked up at her.

"Show time." They both said.

Now was the time that they had waited for. To test Phoebe's spell, and hopefully end their Imprisonment.

"Sleep well ladies? And Phoebe how is your knee? Better I hope."

Prue just glared at him. We must let him think he still has the upper hand here.

"Now Prudence, I know that look. Must we have keep having this unpleasantness every time we meet?"

"What do you want? Haven't you done enough damage for two days? Come back to do a little more?"

"As I told you yesterday your sisters injury was her own doing."

"If you hadn't called in your goon squad to take me away from her, when she was obviously terrified. Then she wouldn't have found the need to be thrashing herself about now would she?"

"I told her to calm down. She wouldn't listen."

"All that aside. You could've had your guy put her down. He did not have to drop her."

"Yes that was an over sight on my part. But I assure you that it will not happen again. So, are you ladies up for a bite of lunch?"

"How many people this time?" she asked with a bit of venom.

"Now, now. You Halliwells are always so suspicious. But I will be honest with you. Mr. Baxter will be there."

Again Prue could feel Phoebe flinch at the mention of his name. Looking down at Phoebe. "What do you say Phoebe? You hungry?"

Phoebe hesitated a bit, just enough to make Prue worry. Phoebe was starting to wonder if this was such a good idea. She didn't know if she could face that monster again, even with Prue right there. Eventually she nodded her head.

"Well then it looks like we have a date." He said, "Just the four of us, and after lunch you can meet the Master."

Prue nudge Phoebe from her lap and they both stood up. Wrapping her arm around Phoebe's waist she helped her out of the cell and down the corridor. Once they reached the steps Prue stood in front of Phoebe and piggy backed her down the stairs. Stopping at the bottom of the stairs Prue let Phoebe down. Once again wrapping an arm around Phoebe's waist for support, they continued to the kitchen door. As Prue reached for the handle Phoebe hesitated.

Shaking her head, "Prue I can't."

"Yes you can Pheebs, I got you and I'm not going to let anything happen." Prue knew that Phoebe was terrified, even if they now knew they had the upper hand.

"No! I can't." Phoebe turned back towards the stairs, but Prue wouldn't let her go.

"Is there a problem ladies?"

Prue just looked at him. "Just back off a second!"

He looked back at her, but took a step back, letting the sister's work it out amongst themselves.

Turning back to Phoebe, Prue took her little sisters hands and looked directly in her eyes. Phoebe's big brown eyes always told Prue everything, even when they were younger. She could see the fear them, she wasn't acting, she was actually terrified. "Phoebe listen to me. I'm not going to let anything happen to you, ok? We have to do this sweetie. I know you're scared. But we don't have a choice." Pulling her into a hug she then whispered into her ear. "It's the only way out of her honey. I love you and I promise not to leave you again." Prue pulled back and whipped the tears from Phoebe's face. "Ok?"

Phoebe nodded her head and turned back towards the door. She limped forward with Prue by her side. Going through the door she saw him sitting there. Looking at her she could feel the coldness in his eyes. She held to Prue tighter for fear of running out and falling. She was shaking so bad she could hardly walk.

Prue could feel Phoebe's fear as they walked through the door. She could feel her trembling through the arm that she had around her. She looked across the room and she too could see the coldness on the eyes of Nick Baxter. It was if he was a completely different person then the day before. The door closed behind them with a bang and Prue was getting a very bad feeling, as she always did when they were in a situation they were unsure of. But she thought positive. They don't know that we have our powers back. That's a plus in our favour, a big plus.

The lights were mostly out this time that gave the room an eerie glow. In one corner Prue could make out what looked like some sort of altar. She turned around but the escort Mr. Creepy was not there. Damn! the thought we have to do this with both of them in the room. If we only take out one the other one will know and our advantage will be lost. Then she heard the door. Only in walked the two goons that they had encountered before.

Phoebe also noticed that something was not right and she took a step back to Prue. "Something is not right Prue, where did Mr. Creepy go?"

"I don't know Phoebe just keep an eye out."

The two goons came up behind them and grabbed them, separating one from the other.

"Prue!"

"It's ok Phoebe. Calm down. I'm not leaving you this time."

The goon that picked up Phoebe carried her closer to Nick. She could feel the panic rising within her. She could not face him. She tried to break away but the guy holding her was too strong. He finally stopped right in front of the wheelchair.

"Oh Phoebe. Why did you have to be so beautiful, and a witch at that. Now I have no choice but to kill you."

All Phoebe could do was shake her head. It was just like her premonition on Tuesday. Prue was there but couldn't use her powers and she was standing very close to the altar.

"Leave her alone." Prue shouted at him. Prue too realized that what was happening was just as Phoebe had described her premonition to her and Piper the other days. "It's me that you guys want now just let her go."

"Oh no you see that is were you're wrong Prudence."

She turned suddenly towards the altar: There stood the captor, in a blood red robe.

"You see your sister here can see the future, with that power along with yours, the Master will be unstoppable. You see everyone thinks that the power to see things is not very useful. Every witch that has gotten that power thinks that. Yet in some ways it is the most powerful power of all. For without it you wouldn't know what was coming. How many times has your sister had a premonition that has saved your life Prudence, or that of Piper's."

Prue thought a minute he was right. Phoebe had saved them or more occasions then she could remember. Because she saw what was going to happen before it did. Giving them time to prepare.

"Yes now you understand don't you. You see with Phoebe's power the Master will be able to see when the witches that are coming for him as well." Turning to Nick, "Bring her over here."

To every ones surprise he stepped from his wheelchair and slowly walked up to Phoebe. Both Prue and Phoebe just starred at him in awe. That they didn't expect. He bent down and whispered in Phoebe's ear. "Now I will kill you, Phoebe Halliwell."

Phoebe panicked she tried desperately to free herself from the guy that was holding her, as he carried her to the altar. Both Nick and Mr. Creepy were now standing there waiting for her.

"Soon you will be a servant of the Master as well. Place her on the altar we must have her ready by the time the Master arrives."

Prue had had enough. The two demons were close enough that she had to do something before they had Phoebe tied down to the altar. "Phoebe! Hang on."

Phoebe knew what was about to happen, so she grabbed on to the arms of the big guy tightly. The next thing she knew she was being hurtled through the air. They hit the wall hard. The impact forced the guy to let go of Phoebe and she stared to fall. Just before she hit the ground she levitated back up. She then gently landed on her own.

"What? How?"

"It's called magic. Charmed One Magic." Phoebe said to him as she levitated again and kicked Nick in the head with her good leg.

Phoebe turned to Prue who was still held by a goon. "Let her go and get out of here before we have to hurt you too." Phoebe told him

After what he had just witnessed he let go of Prue and turned for the door. Before he got through it though Prue throw him out the door and down the long corridor, landing against the far wall. Falling to the ground unconscious.

"That's for hurting my sister!"

Prue ran up to Phoebe who was pulling out the spell.

Nick was getting up slowly and Mr. Creepy was starting to head for the back door. Again Prue used her power and threw him against the wall holding him there.

"How did you…."

"Get our powers back." Prue finished for him.

He just nodded.

"Well I guess you and your 'powerful' Master never counted on a very powerful connection." Prue said

He looked at them confused.

"Its called sisterhood, pal. Never mess with a girl's sister. All you do is piss off the other two." Phoebe told him.

Grabbing her sisters' hand, Prue let him drop to the floor as they started their spell:

Those that are turned willingly hear our words,
No more a Demon shall you be.
The words of two send you back to hell,
For all eternity.

Repeating it three more times until they both burst into flames and were sucked down into hell.

At first they just stood looking at the spot where they had been standing. Then Phoebe could feel her legs getting weak and she started to fall. But before she hit the ground Prue bent and caught her, and eased them both to the ground. Holding her baby sister tight and rocking her as she cried.

"I got you honey I'm never letting go." As tears started to come to her eyes too. It was over. They had ended their imprisonment from them. And Phoebe's demons were now behind her.

Phoebe just cried on her sisters' shoulder not wanting to let go. "You threw me." She finally got out.

"I know sweetie and I'm sorry. I had too." Rubbing her hand on Phoebe's back. "Calm down Pheebes please."

Phoebe sniffed but continued to cry. It had been too much for her. The last few days were starting to take their toll on her and she just wanted to go home with Prue and have a sister night. Just the three of them curled up with ones of Grams' quilts.

After about two hours they were still sitting in the middle of the floor, just holding each other. It was getting dark again. Prue could tell by the light in the corridor outside the kitchen.

"Phoebe we can't stay here. It's not safe." She got no answer. Looking down to Phoebe she could see her little sister sleeping. "Oh honey." Prue thought for a bit toying with the idea of just letting Phoebe sleep, or waking her and moving out of the kitchen. She finally decided that she would wake her. "Phoebe sweetie, wakeup."

"Hmpf. No Prue let me sleep. I don't wanna got to school."

Prue had to chuckle. At least she wasn't having a nightmare. "Phoebe, come on we have to get out of here. We're not safe here. Those two goons could come back with reinforcements."

"Ok Prue but I don't have to like it. My whole body aches. Next time do you think you could give me a bit more warning?"

"Sure, now come on."

As Prue helped Phoebe get up they turned at the sound of a noise. Looking to the door they had come in, at first there was nothing there. Then the door opened and in walked about 8-9 very large, very mean looking guys. Phoebe just stopped in mid stance, holding Prue's arm. Prue knew she couldn't take them all out. Besides how would she explain that.

"Well, well boys what do we have here."

"Looks like a couple of damsels in distress, Mack."

"It does doesn't it. Bill."

"Need a hand there ladies." Bill said as he approached them.

Prue and Phoebe started to back up against the wall. When they finally bumped into it they knew they had no place to go. As the crowd was soon gathered around them they heard a voice at the door again.

"Hey there boys, back off a little, they're with me."

Piper was starting to worry. It had been five hours since her and her sisters had connected to cast a spell of their own. One that would negate the evil protection spell. She could hear the noise inside the prison. Seems that things were starting to heat up again. The prisoners were starting to get bitter. They had heard nothing from anyone for some time. The governor was there and they knew it. They had TV's in prison and they could see him making speeches to the news crews. Telling them they should surrender and give up this siege. That in the end it wasn't going to get them anything. All this did was piss them off even more.

Darryl had wandered over to Piper and Leo who were just siting on the back of Piper's jeep. She had her head resting on his shoulder and his arms around her protectively. He was still amazed that he had not been 'called'. I guess they figure this is where I'm needed.

"How you doing Piper?"

Piper looked up at Darryl. "I'm doing ok Darryl thanks. How about you?" Darryl had always been a good friend and he promised Andy before he died that no matter what he would watch out for them. Now he too knew their secret and kept it quiet.

"I'm ok thanks. Look I just came over her to tell you that the SWAT team is going to be moving in soon."

"What?" Piper stood up.

"It procedure Piper. And now that Governor's here things may move a lot quicker."

"What about Prue and Phoebe?" she was afraid of them getting hit by some stray bullet or something.

"Piper don't worry these guys are professionals and have done this a thousand times. They know there are innocent people in there and will do anything to keep them safe."

Piper just turned and walked away. She need some time to think this all through. Everything was starting to happen to fast. Leo looked after her but did not follow. He knew she had to deal with this in her own way. She walked away from the prison but not far enough that she couldn't see what was going on. She bent down and sat on a large rock. Bending over and placing her head on her hands she cried. She couldn't bare if anything was to happen to them. Oh how she just wished that this was all over. She just wanted to hold her baby sister and tell her everything would be ok. She wanted Prue to hold her and tell her the same. They had finally found their connection; she couldn't lose them now.

She looked up at the sound of gunfire. The SWAT Teams had moved into place and were now shooting tear gas over the wall into the prison. All hell was about to let lose on the other side of the wall. The large gate was flung open and the teams stormed inside. Another riot was soon in place.

Leo saw Piper sitting on the rock. He just watched her. It wasn't time yet, he knew. When the time was right then he would go to her. Then he heard it too. The tear gas being shoot over the wall and the gate opening. The next sound he heard was that of gunfire. Having been in a war he knew what the sound was like all too well. He could also tell that they were not using the standard plastic bullets that were normally used in a riot situation. They were using the real thing. Taking a very large risk that they could hit an innocent person. Be it a guard, office administrator or worse he thought; a loved sister. He looked back to Piper who was now looking up and watching in horror, at what was going on. Leo now knew; it was time. He wandered over to her as she approached him. Pulling her into his arms and letting her cry it out. They were both worried but he had to be strong for Piper.

Prue couldn't see over the wall of guys that was standing in front of her and Phoebe. But she knew that the voice was their mystery friend; Phoebe's saviour as she called him.

"Sorry man, we didn't know you had such beautiful friends."

"That's ok Mack just give them some space they've been through a lot in the past three days."

Prue saw him first as he approached the crowd. She couldn't believe it was him. After all these years there he was again. Phoebe saw the look on Prue's face but still couldn't see who the mystery person was. Then she too saw him, and realized why her sister seemed suddenly happy.

"Prue."

"Bane?"

"Come on we can't stay here. Things are starting to get hot outside and I don't want to see you or Phoebe get hurt."

"It was you wasn't it?"

"Me what?" He asked coyly.

"The one that brought the ice and medical supplies for Phoebe." She could see it in his eyes.

"Yes." Was all he said, "Now come on lets get you two somewhere safer. When it starts to go down out there, everyone is going to be making a run for it and in here is the first place they'll come to."

Prue hung on to Phoebe around her waist and they started to follow Bane down a corridor. Right behind them was the guys that first came into the kitchen. Prue wasn't sure where they were headed but she trusted Bane.

"You ok Phoebe? How's your knee holding out?"

"It hurts like hell Prue but thanks for asking." She replied a bit too harsh. "I'm sorry Prue I'm just scared."

"That's ok Phoebe. Well be ok."

They continued to walk along the corridors of the prison. Prue was somewhat nervous. She trusted Bane but she was unsure of the other guys. With Phoebe's knee still bothering her she knew that it was up to her to protect the two of them. They finally stopped at what looked like a Doctors office.

"We'll be safe here for awhile." Bane told them. "It's far enough away from the main entrance."

Prue got Phoebe settled on one of the beds. She knew that her sisters' knee was bothering her more then she let on.

"How you doing Pheebs?"

"I'm ok Prue thanks. And hey look I'm sorry about snapping at you earlier."

"That's ok Phoebe. I understand."

"So Bane is my saviour hey?"

"Yeah I guess so." Prue looked at her sister. "Are you still mad at me?" she asked hesitantly.

Phoebe looked up at Prue. "A little, maybe. Not. Oh I don't know Prue." She started to cry again.

Prue wrapped her arms around her baby sister. "It's ok Phoebe. Ssshhh it's ok, I'm here and I'm not gonna let anything happen to you."

"Prue?"

"Yeah sweetie?"

"It hurts, so bad I wanna scream."

"Oh Pheebs, why didn't you say anything earlier? I could've carried you. Or at least had one of the guys carry you."

"I didn't want you to worry." She sniffed. Phoebe's knee was really starting to hurt. And it was getting worse. Prue could tell it had also swollen up quite a bit from yesterday, as Phoebe's pant leg was tight against her knee.

"Hang on let me see if Bane has anything." Prue turned towards Bane who was standing by the door with a few of the guys.

"Bane."

He turned and looked at Prue. God she is still beautiful he thought. Walking over to her he still couldn't believe his luck in getting a transfer to Williamshead Prison, and better luck when her heard that Prue was coming there.

"Hi."

"Bane do you have anything that may help Phoebe? Her knee is killing her."

"I don't know Prue. You gave here the shot almost 12 hours ago. The biggest thing is the fact that the freezing has worn off. Most of the pain is probably from where you put the needle in. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to give her more cortisone."

"We have to get something Bane look at her." Phoebe was now lying in the bed holding her knee as best she could. It hurt to bend it so she could only bend at the waist and put her hand on it. "We either find something in here for her or we have to somehow get her out of here to a hospital where a Doctor can look at it. I think that she may have done some serious damage when that goon dropped her."

"Ok Prue hang on I have an idea."

He turned and walked away and started to talk to one of the guys. They both came back and the one guy went right over to Phoebe. Prue was a little suspicious and was quick to her sisters' side.

"Prue it's ok. Mack here may be able to help."

"My father was a doctor in the Navy, and my little brother was an accident always waiting to happen. I used to watch him and help him out whenever I got the chance."

Turning back to Phoebe he had his hand on her knee. Gently feeling around it to see what if any damage was done.

"I think it's just a bad tear of a ligament. Did you say that was the problem before?" He asked Bane.

"Yeah that's why I got the stuff from here earlier. How bad is it?"

Turning and looking at Phoebe he started to walk away tugging Bane after him.

"I can't really tell. That's something that the doc's are gonna have to determine. If I was to fathom a guess though I'd say surgery."

"Do you think we should give her anything for the pain?"

"Well you said that she had the shot of cortisone this morning. So we should be ok to give her something for the pain. Check the cupboards over there and I'll check these ones. Try and find anything for pain relief. And something preferably in a liquid form. It works faster."

After a few minutes Bane had found a bottle of Demerol. This should work but it's also going to put her out he thought. Walking back over to Phoebe and Prue, he could see that Prue had almost got Phoebe calmed down and to sleep.

"Prue can I talk to you a sec?"

"Sure." Turning to Phoebe. "I'm gonna be right over there ok sweetie?"

Phoebe just nodded her head. Not taking her eyes off her sister as she walked away.

"Prue, Mack's not positive but he thinks that Phoebe may require surgery. It looks like a pretty bad tear."

"She probably re-tore it when she was dropped. She told me what happened, and when she fell she landed fully on the one leg. Oh god Bane you should have heard her scream. I was so helpless, all I could do was listen." She was starting to lose it and he wrapped an arm around her just holding foe a few minutes.

"Look Prue about all we can do for her now is this." Handing the bottle of Demerol to her.

"Oh, nothing else available hey?"

"No that was all we could find. This is a prison Prue they're not exactly up on the latest versions of pain relief. It's basics and if you need anything more it usually requires a trip to the hospital. Why? This stuff is great for this kind of thing. Only side effect is it will probably also put her out, and that could be a problem if we have to move from here suddenly."

"I'm not questioning the type of relief Bane. It's just she hates needles, and I mean HATES. You should have seen us this morning when I had to give her that other shot. And unfortunately it's always been me that has had to do it. Even when we were kids, Piper was to little and Grams was usually conveniently not around."

"It's your call Prue but I think you should do it. If you want I can get Mack to. That way Phoebe won't resent you for it."

"No I'll do it. She'll know that I was the one that gave you guys the ok anyway so if she is going to resent me, then it might as well be for the whole thing. You guys are going to have to step out though, for two reason. One, getting her to agree to this is never a pretty sight. And two when the times comes I don't think she is going to want an audience."

"Ok, consider us gone. We'll must wait outside, just give us a shout when your ready." He turned and walked towards the guys and then after a few minutes they walked outside.

Prue just sighed, as she knew she was going into another battle with Phoebe. Taking a deep breath she walked over to her little sister.

Stroking Phoebe's head, "Phoebe, I have something for the pain but I don't think you're going to like it."

Phoebe opened her eyes; they were red and puffy from crying. "I don't care what it is Prue I just want the pain to stop."

Prue took her hand and bent down, sitting on the little stool that was beside the bed. "It's another shot Pheebs."

Phoebe looked at her not saying a word. After a few minutes she looked Prue straight in the eyes. "Do it quick. Ok?" She said quietly

Prue now knew how bad it was. For Phoebe to not put up a fight at all she must be in a lot of pain and just wanted it to stop no matter what. Standing up and kissing her on the forehead. "I will honey I promise."

She then helped Phoebe with her pants and then got everything ready. Repeating what she had done earlier in the cell. She finally gave Phoebe the shot of Demerol. Again helping her get her pants back on and laying her back down on the bed. Not ready for any company they just sat there. Prue had joined Phoebe on the bed holding her baby sister from behind and stroking Phoebe hair. "Don't fight it Phoebe, close your eyes and get some rest. I'm not going anywhere."

Phoebe was soon asleep. Prue watched her for a bit then she too had fallen asleep. The events of the past few days catching up to her.

Outside Bane was getting a little concerned. It had been about 45 min since they had gone outside the room. They never heard anything after they had left. From what Prue had told him he had expected to hear WW3 going on in there. He finally just turned back towards the door and slowly opened it. Peaking inside he called out for Prue. Getting no answer he opened the door fully and went in. He stopped when he saw both girls on the bed fast asleep. With a little smile on his face he walked up to them, picking up a blanket that was on the chair, draping it over the two of them.

They had been sleeping for almost two hours when Bane woke up Prue. "Prue whatever happens stay here and keep the door locked."

"Why what's going on Bane?" Then she heard it. Gun shots.

"I think the cops have finally decided not to sit and wait around any more. They've entered the prison. The courtyard is full of tear gas and most of the prisoners are heading into the buildings to get away from it. I don't think you want to risk moving Phoebe so just stay put."

"Where are you going?"

"Most of the guys have already left. If it looks like we weren't apart of this nothing will happen, so they've headed back to their prison blocks. I'm not going anywhere. Mack and I are staying here."

Prue looked up to see Mack standing by the door, with it open just enough so they could hear and see what was going on.

"Look Prue if for any reason we have to leave I just want you to lock that door and don't open it for anyone, not even me. Ok?"

Prue just nodded her head. "Bane."

He looked down at her; she sat up and kissed him. "Thank you."

He smiled back at her, "Your welcome."

"Bane we have a problem." Mack yelled from his position by the door.

Bane got up and went over to him. "What?" Then he too saw the problem. It looked like some one had set the building on fire.

"Damn! Prue wake up Phoebe, we gotta get outta here. NOW!"

Prue didn't know what was going on but she could tell by the tone in his voice that it was serious. "Phoebe honey wake up." It was no use she was out from the drug. "Bane I can't get her up."

Mack went over to the bed and picked her up with ease and started for the door.

"Prue bring that blanket, we may need it."

Prue grabbed the blanket and headed for the door, right behind Mack. "Bane what the hell is going on?" Then she to saw it, the corridor was full of smoke. "Someone set the building on fire?"

"Yeah looks like it. We gotta get out of here before it gets outta control. Luckily most of this building is brick, so the only thing that will burn are the walls, mattresses and stuff like that."

"Lucky." Prue said sarcastically.

They headed down the corridor and came to an open commons area. They were no longer alone in their pursuit for a way out of the building. The whole place now was a mass of smoke and yelling prisoners. It also seemed that the police had made their way into the building. It was total chaos. The police were yelling at everyone to get down and surrender; yet they just wanted out of the smoky building. Shots were fired and people ran for cover. Mack was ahead of Bane and Prue who were trying to catch up to him. They had almost caught up to him when time seemed to slow down for Prue. To the right of Mack were two police officers, aiming their guns directly at him and Phoebe. Through the smoke they couldn't see what he was carrying. They shouted for him to stop and drop it. Prue thought, they think he has a gun or something. Over the yelling Mack never heard them. He kept running, then suddenly he turned his head in their direction. He immediately turned his body so it was between them and Phoebe. Just as he did shots were fired. He took two hits and went down.

"NOOOOOOOO!" Prue yelled making her way through the smoke filled room and panicking prisoners trying to make her way to her sister. Then she felt herself fall. Someone had knocked her aside trying to get away from the police. Banging her head on the wall everything soon went black.

Phoebe was now awake from the fall that her and Mack had taken. He was still alive but she knew it was bad. She carefully pulled herself out from under him. Luckily when they fell he didn't totally land on top of her, or there would be no way for her to get out from under him. She was still in a bit of a daze from the drug that Prue had given her. At first she wondered where she was, all she could see was smoke and all she could hear were people yelling. Then she saw what looked to be Prue running towards her. Then just as suddenly she lost her. Trying to stand to find her sister, it was no use. The drugs were effecting her balance. She slowly slid back to the floor. Then she felt an arm around her waist helping her up. Looking up she saw it was Bane.

"Where's Pwue?"

"She fell. But I think she'll be ok" Bane helped her to where Prue was still lying down unconscious.

Phoebe panicked when she saw Prue. "Pwue! Get up please! You promised you wouldn't leave me this time." She was now pulling at Prue's shirt to get her to get up. The drug was making it very difficult for her to think straight. She rested her head on Prue's stomach, and started to cry. "Pwue please don't leave me." She said quietly between the sobs.

Bane had to chuckle a bit at the way her words were coming out. He sat down beside the two of them, trying to get Phoebe to calm down. There is no way I'm leaving you guys here alone, he thought and I can't get the two of you out. So I may as well stay. The game is over anyway.

The police soon had control over the prison again. There had been a couple of fatalities during the police raid, Mack being one of them. The paramedics and emergency crews were soon all over the prison, tending to those that had been hurt during the whole siege. But has of yet no one had made it to where Prue, Phoebe and Bane were. Due to the smoke it had been difficult to get anyone down there. Once the smoke had begun to clear the officers called on their radios.

"Captain, we got two civilians down in the basement of cell block 3. They look pretty bad. We need a paramedic team down here stat."

Phoebe still had her head on Prue's stomach, crying softly.

"Oh my head."

Phoebe suddenly sat up. "Pwue your awake."

Prue laughed at her sister; she wasn't sure if she was putting on her baby voice or if it was the drugs. "Yeah, what happened?"

"You fell." Phoebe slurred out.

Well now I know it's the drugs, Prue thought. "Oh. Where's Bane?" She started to look around but couldn't see him anywhere.

"They took him away." Phoebe moved carefully up to Prue's head and placed it on her lap.

"Oh careful Pheebs it's still attached you know."

"I'm sowwey." She said quietly. And started to cry

"Oh Pheebs it's ok I'm not mad at you. It's just my head feels like a rugby ball at the bottom of the scrum." She slowly sat up bringing one hand to her forehead. "Whoa, head rush." She leaned against the wall and pulled Phoebe on to her lap. "It's ok baby I got you now. I'm not going anywhere."

"You scared me Pwue. You said you wouldn't leave me this time." She sniffed.

"And I didn't did I? I'm still here."

Lightly scratching Phoebe's back, that was how the paramedics found them. Both Prue and Phoebe didn't want to be separated just yet. They had been through too much together the last 3 days and nights. They just needed to be holding each other knowing that they were safe in each other's arms. So the paramedics did a quick examination while they held each other.

"Well Miss, it looks like you have a mild concussion there. We'll take you to the hospital to have it checked out." The one said to Prue. "This your sister?" He asked.

"Yeah. She may have a torn ligament. She injured it a few weeks back playing baseball. I think it may have gotten re-torn yesterday. We managed to get her some cortisone this morning, but the pain was really bad. We gave her a shot of Demerol about two hours ago."

"Well looks like it's doing some of its work."

Prue looked at him confused and then he pointed down at Phoebe who was fast asleep in her sisters' arms.

"Come on lets get you two out of here and to the hospital."

He bent down and took Phoebe from Prue's arms and placed her on the gurney. The other paramedic helped Prue up slowly. She was dizzy at first but it soon passed.

"We only brought the one gurney down. Are you ok to walk?"

"Yeah I'm ok. thanks."

Making their way to ground level, they finally emerged from the building: A building that had been their prison for the past 3 days. It was dark out but the whole courtyard was lit up like it was daylight. They slowly made their way across the yard to the main gate. Prue was a bit unsteady so the paramedic had one arm around her waist while he pushed the gurney that had Phoebe on it.

From the time the police had stormed the gates Piper was a ball of nerves. All she could think of was Prue and Phoebe. What if they got hit by a stray shot, or by accident? She had seen the police use a smoke machine in one of the buildings, and she know from Leo that it was the same building that he had tried to get into. The same building where her sisters were. The yelling and shots were starting to take there toll on Piper and she didn't know how much more she could take. I have to be strong, she thought, for Prue and Phoebe. They WILL be ok.

Leo, sensing her discomfort and nervousness came up and wrapped his arms around her from behind. She just leaned back into him. No words needed to be spoken. He too was nervous about what was going on inside, but right now he would be there for Piper.

It had been over an hour since the police had gone in. They now seemed to have control back over the prison. But there was still no sign of Prue or Phoebe. Then she looked again at the main gate. Two paramedics were coming out of the prison. One had his arm around a person, and pushing a gurney while the other one pulled it. With the media, police, guards and other family members running around she didn't see who it was a first. Then her heart seemed to stop and her world went into slow motion. Prue. She released herself from Leo's embrace and started towards her sister. Slow at first then into a run.

"Prue!" She hollered over the people.

Prue stopped at the sound of her name. She knew that voice all to well. Turning she saw her sister running towards her. She pulled herself from the arm of the paramedic and started to walk to Piper. It was hard to say who reached whom first. Piper just pulled her big sister into her arms and hugged her tight.

"Oh my god I was so scared."

"Oh Pipe." Was all Prue could say as the tears started down her face.

Finally pulling back after a few minutes, Piper looked at Prue, noticing the cut on her forehead.

"Oh my god Prue you're hurt."

"It's ok Pipe, it's just a little bump. They're going to take me to the hospital to have it checked. But I can assure you I will be sleeping in my bed tonight. I don't think I can say the same for Phoebe though."

The look on Piper's face was that of pure terror. "W..What do you mean? Is she ok?"

"Oh Piper I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. She'll be fine. She just re-injured her knee yesterday.. I think they may have to do some surgery."

Prue turned to where the Paramedics had gone. And pointed to Phoebe who was out like a light.

"How could she sleep through all this?" Piper asked.

"I think it's the drugs I gave her."

Piper looked at Prue confused.

"I'll explain later. Right now I just want to get something for this killer headache I've got." She started to walk towards the ambulance. She stumbled once and Piper caught her.

"You know Prue maybe you should stay at least one night in the hospital." Knowing how much her sister hated hospitals. "Just to be safe."

"I'm fine Piper really. I just wanna go home with you and curl up on the sofa." Prue was starting to let some of her emotions go.

Reaching the ambulance she climbed inside with Phoebe, with Piper right behind her. Prue had lain down beside Phoebe and she too was soon asleep beside her sister.

Piper turned to the paramedic. "Is it ok for her to be sleeping?" she asked with concern.

"Yeah she'll be ok. It's really no more then a mild concussion. They've been through a lot. They wouldn't let us separate them when we got to them. They seemed pretty close."

"We are now." Piper recalled when they had made their connection earlier. She looked down at her sleeping sisters, just glad that they were ok and going home.

They arrived at the hospital and the paramedics gently lifted Prue from the back of the ambulance and placed her on the waiting gurney. Wheeling them both into the emergency room. Piper just waited. Leo had followed in her jeep and was soon by her side.

"They'll be ok Piper. They're both pretty tough."

"I know Leo. I'm just glad I have them back."

After about an hour Prue walked into the waiting room to find Piper pacing.

"You know if you do that to much you'll run a path in their carpet." She laughed at her little sister.

Turning to her sister Piper walked up to her and gave her a hug. "If you weren't already hurt I'd smack you right about now." She laughed. "So what's the verdict?"

"I'm free to go. I have a very mild concussion but the doctor said I can go home as long as I rest. He gave me something for the headache that should be kicking in fairly soon."

"What about Phoebe?"

"I don't know I haven't seen her yet. I was hoping that you would know something."

"I haven't heard."

There was silence for a minute before Piper asked what she wasn't sure how to begin. "Prue?"

"Yeah."

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

Leo knew that was his cue to go. They needed some private time. Just the two of them. "I'm going to get some coffee, anyone else care for one." Both sisters shock their heads no. "Ok I'll be back in a bit." Looking at Piper before he left. As she mouthed out 'thank you'

Prue began to tell Piper what had happened inside the prison. Not leaving anything out. After a few minutes of silence Piper finally spoke "Oh god, Phoebe must have been terrified."

"She was. Oh and I owe her something for the whole needle thing."

"That's what it was." Piper said more to herself.

"What?"

So Piper related to Prue how she knew that something was going on between the two of them once the connection was broken.

"We had the fight or argument right before that."

"So that's what it was. I could sense Phoebe's anger at you, and your guilt at what you had to do. I still can't believe she let you give her the first shot. Let alone the second one with out so much as a protest."

"I think the second time she was just in to much pain to fight me."

They waited for another half-hour before the Doctor came to see them, it was the same doctor that had first seen Phoebe after she hurt her knee playing baseball. Prue had almost fallen asleep with her head on Piper's lap. "Phoebe Halliwells sisters I presume?"

Piper looked up to him. "Yeah, how is she?"

"She has a very bad tear in the cartilage of her right knee. It wasn't completely healed from her previous injury. I'm sending her home with you now only because I know that you three are pretty close and you." Pointing to Prue, "and her have just gone through a really hard time. I have scheduled her for surgery for Wednesday morning."

"Is it that bad?" Prue asked.

"Well knowing Phoebe it's for the best. If we don't get in there and fix it soon, she can kiss the rest of the baseball season goodbye. At least this way she may be able to get in the last half of the season, though I would not recommend too much running. Or sliding," laughing at the last comment.

Piper laughed at the comment, as did Prue. Remembering what she had told Phoebe in the cell during their first fight about the shot.

"You did a good thing though in giving her that shot of cortisone, and then the Demerol. With out that she would have had a much bigger surgery and that would have been it a bad thing I'm sure."

"You have no idea Doc."

"Look she is just getting ready now. Stop by the nurses station on your way out and I'll give you something that will help her with the pain." He turned and headed to the door.

"Well sister, what do you say we get you and our baby sister home."

"No arguments from me." Prue replied as she got up. "Whoa."

"Prue. You ok?" Piper looked at her concerned.

"Yeah I just got up to fast. Come on lets go gets Pheebs and go home."

Walking out Piper had her hand on the back of Prue so she knew that she was there if she got dizzy again. Walking down the hall to the ER they spotted their baby sister lying on the bed waiting for them.

"Hey honey. Ready to go home?" Piper asked her baby sister.

Phoebe opened her eyes at the sound of Piper's voice, and started to cry. "Oh Pipe, I thought I'd never see you again."

Piper went up to her and held her tight. "Oh Pheebs I'd never leave you, you know that. So you ready to get out of here?"

"Yeah. Take me home."

They helped Phoebe off the bed and headed down the hall, stopping at the nurses' station to pick up the meds and a pair of crutches for Phoebe from the doctor. Prue talked to the doctor for a few minutes while Piper went to find Leo. Then they headed for the jeep, and home.

Once they reached home they helped Phoebe hobble up the stairs and made their way up stairs. It was now 1AM and all three were dead tired.

"Phoebe get ready for bed and I'll come in and give you the medicine that the Doctor gave me."

"Ok." Phoebe just wanted to go to bed and put the last three days behind her.

Prue and Piper headed to their rooms and also got ready for bed. Coming out of her room Prue first went to see Piper.

"Piper?" she knocked quietly.

"Yeah Prue."

Opening the door "I need to ask you a favour. Umm where's Leo?"

"He left. I figured we'd need this time together. What's the favour?"

"I need you to come with me when I give Phoebe her meds."

Looking at her older sister suspiciously. "Why? What did he give you?"

Prue moved her hand from behind her back to reveal a needle and two bottles.

"Oh Prue. She's not going to like this."

"I know that's why I need your help."

"Prue I can't exactly freeze her. I mean I would if I could, but I can't."

"I know but just help me to convince her that it' not that bad."

"Ok but I still say she's gonna be pissed." Piper headed for the door. "What is it anyway?"

"Cortisone. It's going to be the same as when we were in jail. Only this time she'll have you there. Maybe it won't seem so bad."

"Some how I doubt it." Piper replied as she stopped at Phoebe's door. "Ok here goes." Knocking on the door she called out to her sister. "Pheebs."

"Yeah." She answered softly.

Opening the door Piper and Prue entered their sisters' room, seeing her sitting on the edge of the bed. "Hey you ok honey?" Piper asked with concern.

"Yeah I was just thinking of the last few days."

Prue came up to Phoebe and sat beside her on her bed wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "It's ok Phoebe we're home now. And I'm still not going anywhere."

Phoebe was quiet at first. "Promise." She said quietly

"I promise." Hugging her baby sister.

Breaking the hug after a few minutes. "Now Phoebe I have something for you that will help your knee. Please don't fight me on this I don't have the strength right now. And I promise to make it up to you after your surgery."

Phoebe looked at Prue a bit confused. Then it hit her. Pulling away from her big sister she turned and got off the bed on the other side. "No," she said quietly again.

"Phoebe please it's for your own good." Piper said.

"That's easy for you to say Piper. You're not the one that she plans to stick a needle in." Phoebe yelled.

"Phoebe you think I enjoy doing this?"

"Actually yes I do. I remember as a kid and you'd give me those whenever I would hurt myself playing baseball or basketball. The look on your face was enough to terrify me. You really seemed to be enjoying it then." Still yelling at her sisters.

"The key word there Pheebs is 'seemed' I never enjoyed doing this not then, not early this morning and not now. Do you remember what I said to you the other day in that prison cell?"

Phoebe just looked at her, not sure what she meant.

"When they brought you back to the cell after you hurt your knee. I felt so helpless. That when you hurt I hurt. This hurt me more then you now Pheebs. I love you and would never do anything that would hurt you."

Phoebe was relenting a bit. Prue was near tears, she didn't want to be fighting with Phoebe right now. They had been through too much the last few days and all she wanted to do was help her sister with her pain, and get some sleep. She again that day showed more emotions then she was used to showing.

"Please Phoebe, let us do this and then we can all get some sleep." Piper added.

Phoebe looked at Piper and then to Prue. She was stubborn but she wasn't crazy. She knew that if they wanted to they could do this by force and there would be nothing she could do about it. Maybe if her knee wasn't so bad she may be able to fend off Piper and possibly Prue. They were trying to let her go the easy way. So for the second time that day, or was it now the first time as it was now a new day, she gave into her sisters'. Climbing back on to the bed she grabbed a pillow and put it over her face. So she wouldn't see what was going on and they wouldn't see the pained expression on her face, when Prue gave her the injection.

Once again Prue went through the motions of first freezing her knee and testing it. Piper had to take away Phoebe's pillow then so she could see what Prue was doing and so she would know that it was frozen. Plopping back down on the bed she again buried her face behind the pillow. She knew when Prue had given her the needle. She had always done the same actions. Once it was done Piper again removed the pillow from her face.

"Not so bad hey Pheebs?"

Phoebe just glared up at her and rolled over as best she could, trying to keep her knee in one position..

Looking over at Prue she shrugged her shoulders. Bending down she kissed Phoebe on the forehead. "I love you Phoebe. And I'm so glad you and Prue are back with me. Sleep tight my baby girl."

Turning to Prue she pulled her into hug. "I love you too my big sister. Thank you for keeping our baby safe."

"Anytime Pipe. I love you too." Breaking the embrace. Piper headed to bed.

Looking at Phoebe's back Prue bent down and kissed her forehead as Piper had. "Love you Pheebs. I don't know what I would have done if anything had happened to you in there. You are a special part of my world, and I love you just the way you are. Sleep well tonight my sweet girl." She turned and started for the door.

"Prue?"

Turning back. "Yes Phoebe?"

Phoebe hesitated a bit. But Prue knew. "You don't have to ask Phoebe." She headed back to her sisters' bed and climbed in behind her. Placing her arms around Phoebe and pulling her close, she held her sister as she quietly cried.

"Prue I was so scared. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there."

"Oh Pheebs you would have done all right. You're a Halliwell, and that makes you tough, stubborn and suspicious." Prue laughed a bit. "Besides that's a two sided coin. I don't know what I would have done if you weren't there either."

"Prue you kept your promise didn't you?"

"Which promise was that Phoebe?"

"You promised that you'd never leave me this time and you didn't"

"Oh sweetie. I'll never leave you. Because you will always have a piece of me here." Tapping at Phoebe's Heart.

Slowly drifting to sleep. Phoebe got in the last words. "I love you Prue."

The drugs starting to take effect on the both of them, they were both soon fast asleep. The oldest holding the youngest as she had over the course of the past few days. Piper had gone to ask Prue a quick question before she had gone to sleep. Not finding her older sister in her room she had a feeling she knew where she would be. She quietly opened Phoebe's door to find both her sisters fast asleep. Smiling to herself, she watched them sleeping for a few minutes before closing the door. Were going to be ok she thought. And now that we found our connection, we are that much closer and stronger. The only thing that bothered her was the fact that they never figured out who the Master was.
