It's another warm, sunny day in San Francisco when Phoebe Halliwell wakes up from a nice long dream she was having. Phoebe then goes through her morning rituals, which for the first time in two days includes a hot shower. Before going downstairs, Phoebe takes a few accessories from her sisters closet. Nothing much. Just Prue's t-shirt and Piper's shoes. When Phoebe comes downstairs, she finds Prue, with a large cup of coffee, reading the newspaper. "Morning, Prue. Did you sleep well?" questions Phoebe. "Morning Pheebs and yes, I did sleep well last night." "So where's Piper on this early Friday morning?" "Pheebs, its 11 o'clock in the morning and Piper had to go to work early because there is a large convention at Quake and she needs to get the restaurant ready for this evening. Is that my T-shirt your wearing... and Piper's shoes?" "Would you believe that they just happened to end up in my closet when I woke up this morning!?" "No, I believe that my younger sister, by the name of Phoebe Halliwell, just happened to move them from her sisters closets to her closet. Now give me back my shirt!" "Prue, can I PLEASE borrow it for today because I have an important job interview later and I want to look my best. And you have a nice collection of t-shirts and you wouldn't really be missing it. Besides, if I get this job it'll mean that I can add to your wardrobe!" Phoebe says with a big smile. "OK, OK you can borrow it... for today ONLY. Well, I'm off to work. Claire said I could come in a little later because I spent all night cataloging the new shipment. So, I'll see you later, Pheebs." Prue goes over and kisses Phoebe on the cheek. "Oh Prue, I just remembered that I need your car for my interview later soooooo I'll come with you to Buckland's and then drive to my interview!" "What! Phoebe why do you always do this to me? Can't you take a taxi or the bus? You can take the bus!" "Ooooh no. I'm not taking the bus... so suffer. Now, do you want me to drive or do you want to drive?" "Get in the car and this is the last time Pheebs. I mean it. Next time your taking the bus!" "Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say Prue," says Phoebe with a laugh, knowing her sister will always cave into letting Phoebe have the car.

Meanwhile at Quake Piper feels like her world is falling apart. The flu is going around so that means that Piper has to be hostess, cook and bartender for the day. She is calling everyone, who works at Quake, to work, including the night shift but most people are sick and staying home. If any more people call in sick Piper might actually have to call Phoebe and ask if she wants to have a temporary job. "It's going to be a long day," Piper moans.

When Prue and Phoebe get to Buckland's, Prue reluctantly hands over her car and tells Phoebe to drive carefully and to pick her up at 4 o'clock. She also wishes Phoebe luck with the job interview, knowing that Phoebe will never get it. Prue enters Buckland's and heads for the elevator that will take her to the twelfth floor.

Meanwhile Phoebe is on her way to an interview that's at 1 o'clock. She is very excited. The interview is for a glamorous magazine who needs a sketch artist. Phoebe feels she is perfect for the job. She looks at her watch and sees that she is about an hour early and she really does not want to wait so long before the interview so she decides to take a little stroll down the street. Along the way she passes a small flower shop. She buys a few flowers and heads back to the car. She sees it is about time for her interview. Phoebe walks into the park house where Prue's car is located. She already has the keys in her hand when a women walks up behind Phoebe. "Phoebe Halliwell?" the blond women in a blue dress questions. "Yes. Do I know you?" asks Phoebe. The women slowly approaches and grabs Phoebe forcefully by both arms. Having taken defense classes, Phoebe immediately reacts and scissors kicks the women in the stomach. She falls to the ground and Phoebe begins to run, after having a sudden premonition of the women standing over her with glowing hands. Phoebe runs about 10 feet when she begins to feel a tingling in her arms, legs and head. She kneels to the ground clutching her aching head and questioning why the women is doing this to her. The women responses by saying "Because I can." The last memory that Phoebe has, is feeling light headed and collapsing to the ground.

Hours later Phoebe awakes to find herself in the middle of the parking garage none the worst. She is not even dirty. Phoebe looks over to where Prue's car was suppose to be, but it is now gone. "Prue is going to kill me," mutters Phoebe to herself. Not even her purse or car keys are anywhere in sight. All Phoebe sees are the flowers she had just bought, lying on the ground. She slowly gets up and dusts herself off. She walks over to the flowers and tries to pick them up but her hand literally goes through the flowers. Phoebe tries to pick up the flowers again, but her hand just keeps going through them. Thinking she has had a very long day and her head is killing her, Phoebe decides to leave the flowers and walk on home. She begins to worry about what Prue is going to do, when she finds out that Phoebe lost the car. "She is literally going to kill me. I can't even think of a good excuse with my head killing me." She notices that the people are not very polite today. The cars are not even stopping for her when she crosses the street. Pheebs literally has to play dodging the cars. Phoebe walks past a drug store and decides to buy some aspirin. When she tries to enter the store the sliding doors will not open for her. "Could this day get any worse?" Finally she follows some people into the store. She stands in line to ask where the aspirin is. Suddenly a man walks in front of Phoebe while she is still waiting in line. Phoebe prepares to tap him on the shoulder and tell him that she is the end of the line, but her hand goes through the mans shoulder. "Oh...my...god!" An elderly women turns the corner and is pushing a shopping cart and walks straight through Phoebe. "I'm a ghost... and no one can see or hear me! Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Okay. Don't panic Pheebs. Things could be worse. You could... I don't know. I was going to say dead... but I guess I am dead... and now I'm a ghost... who talks to herself. Great! I knew I should have stayed in bed this morning but NOOOOOO. I had to try and get a job. I couldn't sleep in. I had to get money. Well look what it's brought me. Death! Even thought I don't remember being shot or stabbed, but that does me no good because now I'm a ghost... who for reasons unknown, is still clothed. What am I going to do? I have never been a ghost before and have not intended to be one for a long time. And why am I talking to myself in the middle of a drugstore. Wait! We could all see Mark when he was a ghost. Maybe Piper and Prue can see me. I sure hope so." With that said, Phoebe turns around and walks out of the store. Of course she did not use the door. No Phoebe improvised. She walked through the wall.

After passing through the wall Phoebe looks around for some mode of transpiration. If she was not a ghost she would have taken a cab... but a cab can go anywhere! She looks across the street and sees a bus approaching. Phoebe then walks into the middle of the street and jumps on the bus through the side. Of course about twenty cars pass through her during the process. The bus is luckily heading in the right direction... to Quake. Phoebe just hopes that Piper is still there and not on her lunch brake. The bus stops in front of Quake. "It's about time I had some good luck," grippes Phoebe. She jumps off the bus and enters Quake though one of the walls. The place is packed. It would take years to find Piper. That's when Phoebe remembers what Prue had said this morning about there being a convention at Quake. "Just my luck. First I die and now I can't find my sister because the conventioneers just had to choose Quake. Why couldn't they eat at the restaurant down the street?" Phoebe knows it's time to leave because she is getting sick and tire of having people walk through her. She turns around to leave saying "I'm out of here." Just then Piper happens to spot Phoebe at the other end of the restaurant. "Phoebe, over here," Piper calls out. Unfortunately, Phoebe does not see or hear Piper because of all the noise and people in the way. Piper then watches her sister walk through... a wall. "Oh my god!" Piper says to herself. She runs over to the counter and picks up the telephone and starts to dial Prue's number. "Prue Halliwell. It's her sister Piper." "Just a minute," Prue's secretary says. Finally Piper is connected with Prue. "Hello, Prue Halliwell speaking." "Prue, it's me. Listen I was just wondering if you had seen Phoebe today?" "Well Piper we do live in the same house soooo I would have to say... yes. I let her borrow my car for a job interview that she had today. Why do you ask?" "Well Prue," Piper says with a little chuckle "I just saw Phoebe... here... at Quake." "Piper, a lot of people go to Quake. It's not very unusual. We even go to Quake!" "That's not what I mean Prue. Its the way Phoebe walked out of here." "She probably used the door just like everyone else!" "When you saw Phoebe this morning did she seem, oh I don't know... alive to you." "I would hope so Piper because she was wearing my T-shirt and your shoes." "My shoes! Which shoes? Was it the new black ones, that I just bought. Oh I'll kill her!" "Anyway Piper. You were saying something about Phoebe walking out of Quake?" "I can't be sure Prue but I think Phoebe walked through a wall!" "Piper! Phoebe can't walk through walls. She's a person, not a ghost!" "I know it sounds strange Prue, but I could have sworn that she walked through the wall. I know that I'm tired but I know what I saw." "Listen Piper, I'm almost done cataloging. How about I'll meet you there, at Quake, and we can both drive home and confront Phoebe in person about her walking through walls. Because... if it's true, I smell Book of Shadows. So, I'll see you in a few minutes. Okay!" "Okay, Thanks Prue." "No problem. Anything for my sister. See you soon. Bye." Prue hangs up the phone. "I'll kill her. Why does Phoebe always do this to us?" Prue tells Claire that she is going to leave early because some emergency has come up at home. Claire just says that its no surprise that Prue is leaving early... again. When she enters the parking garage she finds her car not in her parking space. Prue wonders how Piper could have seen Phoebe at Quake and why Phoebe did not come and pick her up. Prue had said it would be all right for Phoebe to borrow the car for the whole day but she was told to pick Prue up at 4. Prue just shakes it off and tells herself that she will have all the answers very soon. Now she heads outside to hail a cab.

"It's so nice to finally have a new body," comments Carmen, who is now looking at a mirror inside the Halliwell's household and admiring her new body. Phoebe's body. "It always feels like Christmas when I get a new body, and the body of a witch who is a 'Charmed' one at that. It's my lucky day. Now lets see if I can remember. My new name is Phoebe Hall... Halli.... Halliwell. Yes Halliwell that's it. And my sisters are Piper and Prudence. Prudence and Piper. I feel sorry for whoever named these children. Anyway. I get sisters, and a new house, plus great powers. Life could not get any better then this. Now what should I wear?" She finally decides to wear a nice pair of jeans and a blue t-shirt. She walks downstairs and opens the front door. She pulls out an amulet from her pants pocket. She hangs this small, red amulet outside on the opposite side of the doorbell. "There!" she says to herself. "That should keep the ghost of Phoebe Halliwell out of the house. Now lets go find out what type of power she has." Carmen then heads up to the attic. The reason she knows there is a Book of Shadows is because she holds most of Phoebe's memories. Yes, Phoebe was her target from the moment she learned about the charmed ones. She wants nothing but the powers, and that she will have. Even if it means killing them. Once she has the Book of Shadows, she will be unstoppable.

Prue finally arrives at Quake, around 4:30, to pick up Piper and they both drive to the house in Piper's car. When they arrive at home they go through the back entrance of the house and therefore do not see the amulet that is hanging in front of the house. Prue is the first to enter the house with Piper following close behind. "Phoebe, we're home and we need to talk." "Come on, Pheebs," Piper taunts, "We won't kill you... yet," says Piper softly to Prue who brakes out in a big grin. "Prudence, Piper welcome to our humble house. Is it not wonderful?" Carmen walks over to Prue and gives her a great big hug and asks how things were at the restaurant. Prue gives Phoebe (Carmen) a quizzical look. "You know. The restaurant named after an earthquake. You do work at a restaurant... don't you Piper?" she questions Prue. "Phoebe, are you feeling OK. Your not getting amnesia or anything?" "Okay Pheebs that's enough playing around," says Piper. "You know very well that I work at Quake and that Prue works at Buckland's." "So, you are Piper (pointing to Piper) and you are Prudence (pointing to Prue). I see. The memory starts to fly after old age." "Pheebs, are you feeling okay?" Piper asks worried. "Are you on something or have you been drinking? Do you feel ill? And what do you mean by old age? Phoebe your 21 years old!" "I have never felt better. Now where did I put those car keys." "You mean these?" Prue asks holding up Phoebes spare keys to both cars. "Yes, I was looking for those today." "So Phoebe. How did the interview go today?" asks Piper. "Interview? What interview? I was out all day and I just got back." Carmen responds uneasily. "Phoebe. You told me you had an interview and that you needed a car. Then why did you take my car today if you didn't have an interview?" Prue asks suspiciously. "I... um.... because... of the.... it... it was a... I decided not to go to the interview. What do I need a job for! I have credit cards." "Phoebe Halliwell!" Prue says, her temper rising. "You are going to have to pay off your credit cards someday and if you don't get a job how on earth are you going to pay them off?" "Well, look at the time. I had better feed the dog I mean the cat. Yes the cat. The black cat that's running around the house somewhere. Anyway I have to get some sleep because I have a busy day tomorrow. Lots of shopping to do!" With that Carmen turns around and runs up stairs. Piper just shakes her head at Prue. "Did you hear that Piper? Phoebe called me Prudence. She's never called me that. Something isn't right, and I intend to find out what it is." "Ditto," Piper says.

Meanwhile the ghost of Phoebe is walking to an old cemetery that she has not visited for a long time. She heads up to the hill and kneels down at two graves that are located beneath an old oak tree. One grave is marked 'Our beloved mother' and the other 'Grams'. "Well," Phoebe says sadly. "At least I'll finally get to know you better mom. There is so much that I don't remember about you except for the stories Grams used to tell me when I was little. I just wish that my life wouldn't have ended so fast," says Phoebe, now with tears in her eyes. "Well, I guess I had better say my good-byes to Prue and Piper. I have to at least tell them that I'll be OK and not to worry about me." Phoebe then gets up to head for her house to say her finale good-bye. Phoebe walks out of the cemetery and starts to walk to the house. The beautiful sunny day has ended and now the rain is starting. Everyone else around Phoebe is running for cover from the rain except for Phoebe. If she was still human, she would have done the same thing, but now that she is a ghost the rain does not matter. It just passes through her as she continues to walk toward the house.

Piper and Prue have finished eating dinner with Phoebe (Carmen). Piper then questions Carmen if she had come to Quake that day. Carmen replies that she had not and that maybe Piper just needed to get some rest. That maybe she was getting the flu or she was over tired. Piper just tells her to forget about what she had said. Piper says goodnight to her sisters and goes on up to bed. Prue tells Phoebe (Carmen) that she has had a long day and that she too will retire. Carmen just smiles to herself. "By tomorrow I shall have all three powers, plus the Book of Shadows. Go sleep and my this be your last night as witches." Carmen then gets up and walks to Phoebe's room knowing that her plan is working. The only mistake that had happened was that Phoebe's ghost had jumped out of the body. Usually when Carmen took over a persons body the spirit was suppressed till she had no more use for the body and had taken another. But in this strange case, Phoebe's spirit could not be suppressed and it had jumped out. Carmen knows that she has to act quickly because Phoebe's spirit was running around there somewhere and was trying to make contact with her sisters. If they figure out that Carmen is not the real Phoebe Halliwell then they would banish her and her task would fail. But if she could just hold out till she has the book in her possession then she would be safe. Besides, the amulet she had hung outside was to protect the house against spirits. It did not matter if they were good or evil spirits. All that mattered was that the amulet created an invisible protection around the house that would keep ghosts out of the house and away from the Halliwells. The last thing she needed was Phoebe's ghost warning her sisters. "No worries," Carmen mutters to herself. "By tomorrow the power of three shall be mine."

Around 9 o'clock Phoebe's ghost finally reaches the house. Phoebe has no idea how to break the news to her sisters that she is dead. "I have all the time in the world to explain everything to them," Phoebe mumbles. "Okay. Here goes." Phoebe walks up to the front door. She tries to go through the door but a force field holds her back. "What the hell!" Phoebe tries it again but the force field just keeps her out. There is no way into the house. The only new thing Phoebe sees is the small red amulet hanging by the door. Phoebe then touches the force field again and sees how it disappears back into the amulet. "I guess I'm not wanted in this house. There goes my idea for haunting a house." Phoebe steps away from the porch and walks away into the shadows of the night with no where to go. The rain has let up a little and a few sidewalk lanterns are lit. Phoebe Halliwell is now a ghost without a home. She is all alone in the world.

The next day Piper comes downstairs to find Prue already with a large cup of coffee. She fixes herself one and asks Prue what's new. Prue says that the only strange thing that has happened today was that Phoebe was already up at 5:30. "Well, I'll go get the newspaper Prue." Piper walks outside and picks up the newspaper. When she turns around and walks back inside she notices the amulet hanging by the door. Piper takes it off the hook and brings it inside. "Look what I found outside Prue. It's an amulet of some sorts and it was hanging outside. Do you know what it is for?" Prue takes the amulet from Piper and inspects it. "It's pretty old Piper. It looks to me like a Spirit keeper. Its kind of a repellent used to keep ghosts out of certain places, such as a house. It was believed long ago to keep the spirits out of ones house. Why was this hanging outside?" "I don't know Prue but..." Just then Carmen comes downstairs and sees Piper holding up the amulet. "What the hell are you doing Piper? Give me that." Carmen grabs the amulet form Piper and heads toward the front door. "Phoebe! What has gotten into you?" Prue demands. "I'm trying to keep spirits out of the house." "Phoebe. Don't you dare hang that outside. We are supposed to protect the innocent. That also includes ghosts so no spirit keepers! Got it?" Prue takes the amulet away from Phoebe and puts it in her pocket. "Piper and I have to go anyway. We have a meeting with our stock broker today at Quake so were off. See you later Phoebe and remember. NO spirit holders!" With that said Prue and Piper leave the house.

"Perfect," Carmen says. She runs upstairs and into the attic. She grabs the Book of Shadows and is heading toward the front door. When she opens the door a young man is standing outside. It is Leo. "You are not the real Phoebe Halliwell," says Leo. "You must have me mistaken for someone else sir. I am Phoebe Halliwell and there is nothing you can do to stop me from walking out of this door with the book." "Your right. I can't stop you from leaving this house... but I can stop you from taking the book." With that, Leo puts his hand up to the door frame. It glows for a second and then disappears. "Out of my way fool," says Carmen who walks past Leo. When she tries to take the book past the door frame the book snaps out of her arms and lands a few feet inside the house. She runs back and throws the book out the door but the force field keeps the book inside. "I created a force field to prevent you from taking the Book of Shadows. You may look like Phoebe, but you do not have her spirit. Until Phoebe Halliwell and her spirit have reunited the book shall never leave this house." With that said, Leo begins to glow and disappears before Carmen's eyes. Carmen knows her time is up. She will just have to get the powers another way. By killing Piper and Prue.

Phoebe is now sitting on a green park bench and watching the ducks swim in the pond. She had spent half the morning watching the sunrise. She just wished that she could have shared it with her sisters. The rain had stopped last night and the sun was out again. A man who had been walking around the park sits next to her on the bench. He is about 45 years old, with blond hair and wearing dark sun glasses. He has a seeing eye dog by his side. "Aren't you a beautiful dog. What's your name?" questions Phoebe. "His name is Champion. Champ for short," the man answers. "Wait. You can hear me?" questions Phoebe. "Just like I hear the birds sing in the morning. My name is Peter by the way." "I'm Phoebe." "Lovely day is it not. Do you happen to have the time Phoebe?" "It's about 1 o'clock. How is it you can hear me I'm a..." "Let me guess. Your a ghost. Am I right?" "Yes but how did you know?" "Well, you see, Champ gives me little signals about the people around me." The dog gives a little whimper. "What is it Champ?" the man asks. "Sorry, he just loves people and tries to get food out of them anyway he can. You see your not the first ghost I have had a conversation with. It all started once I became blind. I believe that my other senses took over and I have become more aware to the world around me. With a little help from Champ. So what's troubling you?" "I tried to say good-bye to my sisters but I couldn't get into the house. I just can't believe that my life is over so soon. I had so many more things that I wanted to do. Travel the world, getting married, having kids, finishing college. I had so many more things to do and now I will never be able to do them. If I would have know that I would only live till the age of 21, then I would have lived my life to the fullest. I would not have fought with my sisters and made up for lost time when I was living in New York. There were so many questions I still had to ask my sisters and things that I need to tell them... and now.... and now I will never have the chance to tell them how I feel. I'm sorry for throwing all this on you. Its just that your the first person who has been able to hear me and..." "Not at all Phoebe. Listen. When I was 40 the doctor told me that I would wake up one day and be blind for the rest of my life. When he told me that I fell into a deep depression. I moped around the house. Then, one day I thought 'Hey I'm not blind yet. I can still enjoy my life' so I enjoyed my life to the fullest. When I was finally blind, I got Champ, and he changed my life. He showed me that my life was not over. It was just... how should I put this... it was a new adventure waiting to happen. That Phoebe, is what you are going through. You are taking a new adventure. One everyone will go through. Don't dwell on the past because you can't change the past. You have to look toward the future. Life is here, not back there. Live life to the fullest, for that is the secret to life." Peter then smiles at Phoebe and tells her he had better go. That his daughter is waiting for him with the grandchildren. He gets up to leave and turns around again. "Before I go. Let me tell you a little secret. A ghost named Josh Wilken's once told me that if you put all your emotions, fear, love, hate into one and then force them out, some ghosts are able to move objects. It might come in handy. Well, good luck Phoebe." "Bye, Peter." Peter and Champ walk away, side by side.

Piper and Prue had their meeting with their stock broker at Quake, and are now heading back home.

Phoebe is still sitting on the park bench when Leo suddenly appears beside her. "My god, Leo, you scared me. What are you doing here?" "Phoebe. I've been looking for you all day. Listen, your not dead." "I'm not dead but... I'm a ghost?" "Yes, well no. Let me explain. There is a warlock named Carmen. She is a body jumper. Long ago a group of good witches banished her. Before she was killed she had said an incantation that would make her live forever. Unfortunately the spell did not work the way she needed it to. Instead of her living forever in her own body she was turned into a ghost and forced to walk the earth. It means that she lives by taking a witches body until she no longer needs it and then jumps into a new one. If she ever returns to ghost form then she will die. Usually when she takes a body she suppresses the spirit but for some reason it didn't work in this case. For some reason your spirit jumped out of your body. The reason she is doing this is that one of your ancestors, a long time ago, banished her. In the Book of Shadows is a spell to reincarnate her body back. She plans to get her body back. She also wants the power of three." "Leo, we have to do something. We can't let Carmen win. What are we going to do? I tried to get in the house but some force field was blocking my way." "Don't worry Phoebe. I put a spell on the house to keep the Book of Shadows at home. Also Piper removed the amulet that was keeping you out of the house. Now we have to hurry. Remember Phoebe, that the only way to kill her is to turn her into a ghost." "So how do we get her out of the house?" Phoebe questions. Leo pulls out his cell phone, calls Carmen and tells her that she is the grand prize winner for a new car and that she should come down to the radio station and pick up her prize. Carmen says she will be there in a few minutes. Leo just smiles at Phoebe and wishes her good luck. The next second he is gone.

Carmen takes Pipers car and heads for the radio station. About half way there Carmen begins to wonder why Phoebe has no memory of calling a radio station. She suddenly has a premonition of Phoebe's ghost entering the house. "They're trying to get me out of the house. Well, we'll see about that." Carmen does a 360 degree turn and heads back toward the house.

Prue and Piper come home to an empty house. They are in the kitchen discussing tonight's dinner when Phoebe comes walking in, through the wall. Both Piper and Prue jump back. "My god, Phoebe. What happened to you?" questions Prue. "I don't have time to explain. The short version is that her name is Carmen and she is a body jumper and she's in my body while my ghost has been running around trying to find you two. And the only way to stop her is to turn her into a ghost." They start to hear the front door unlock. Prue and Piper start to go charging into the room but Phoebe jumps in front of them but both Piper and Prue walk through her and stop, shocked that they just walked through their younger sister. "Just play along and act like nothing has changed. Trust me I have a plan," says Phoebe who walks through a wall and back into the kitchen.

Carmen marches through the door. "Did you think that I would not figure you two out. Your plan to deceive me has failed." Carmen then runs upstairs to the attic. She reaches the attic and shuts the door behind her. Prue is just about to use her power to open the door, but Phoebe tells her to wait. She walks through the attic door to find Carmen hovering over the Book of Shadows. "Did you really think you could fool my sisters for long." "Not at all Phoebe," Carmen says. "I had plan to have my body back. Even if it means killing you." "To late," Phoebe says. "I'm already dead." "Then we'll just have to kill your spirit." Carmen begins to chant.....

The Ghost of Phoebe Halliwell is not wanted in this house. My she be banished forever from this realm. My she go to the place where all lost souls go once forgotten and once alone.

A red fog starts to surround Phoebe and she falls to the ground in utter pain. The first feeling she has felt in the last two days. She starts to cry out in pain. Suddenly the door flies open and Prue and Piper come running. Prue had used her power to brake into the attic. Phoebe is on the floor, in pain, and slowly fading away. Carmen continues to chant....

My she go away and leave our sight...

Piper then freezes time. Because Carmen is in Phoebe's body and she is evil she freezes. Prue then uses her power and throws Carmen about 15 feet away. When Carmen unfreezes she runs out of the attic. Piper and Prue run over to where Phoebe's ghost is. They try to help Phoebe up, but their hands go through her. Phoebe is no longer fading away or in pain because Carmen's chanting has stopped. Phoebe knows what she must do. She runs over to the window and jumps out of the house. She lands safely on the ground and starts to chase after Carmen. Piper and Prue run downstairs and out the door, heading after Phoebe.

Carmen runs to the side of the road, just outside the house, where a few cars are passing. She stops and tells Phoebe that she has lost. That now she will have no chance to get her body back and her sisters can not help her. "They will not hurt anything that looks like you. You've lost." "I don't think so," Phoebe says. She starts to ball up all of her emotions. Love, anger, fear, hate, joy, and pain. "What the hell do you think your doing?" questions Carmen. "I know all about you. The only way to kill you is to make you a ghost, and that is what I intend to do." Phoebe then charges Carmen and pushes her into the street. Piper and Prue run up behind Phoebe. Piper is just about to freeze time but its to late. A car hits Carmen and she goes flying. The car also drives through Phoebe's ghost. The driver quickly puts his car in reverse and drives on. Piper and Prue run over to Phoebes body which is not moving. "Don't touch her," Phoebe commands. Just then Carmen rises up from Phoebe's body in spirit form. "What have you done?" "The only thing I knew how to get you out of my body and away from others. So you can't do your body jumping trick ever again. I killed myself!" "If you think killing yourself will do any good then you are...." Suddenly shadows begin to move and form around Carmen. "No, no, not yet. I almost had the powers. I really did. You can't take me NOOOOOO!" In a few seconds the shadows and Carmen are gone and the three sisters are left in silence. "Piper," Prue commands. "Lets go call 911. Maybe their is still a chance to save Phoebe." Both sisters run toward the house. Phoebe is left alone outside to stare at her injured body. Prue calls the police to report an accident while Piper is upstairs looking for a blanket to keep Phoebe warm until the ambulance arrives.

Suddenly Leo appears beside Phoebe. "You vanquished her Phoebe. No witch will ever have to go through what you did. You made the ultimate sacrifice." "I know. The strangest thing is that if I had it to do all over again, I would have made the same choices." "You know Phoebe, it is not your time to leave this world yet. Your sisters still need you." "I know Leo." Leo then walks over to Phoebe's body and puts his hand on her forehead. His hand starts to glow and Phoebe feels faint. The next second she opens her eyes and finds herself lying on the ground with Leo looking over her. He helps her to her feet. All the injuries are gone. No scares remain of the accident. "Take care Phoebe. I'll be watching." With that said Leo kisses Phoebe on the hand an then disappears. Phoebe runs inside the house. "Prue, Piper!" "Oh my god Phoebe your okay," Piper says. "How did this happened?" questions Prue. "Lets just say that I have a great guardian angle!" Piper and Prue both run over to Phoebe and give her a great big hug. All three are overcome with emotion and the tears flow.

Later that evening, Andy comes to the Halliwell house. He questions Prue about a call to the police to say there had been a hit and run accident, because the driver of a car had said that he had hit a young women a few hours ago in front of the Halliwell house. Prue tells Andy that nothing like that had happened. "Are you sure nothing happened Prue?" Andy asks suspiciously. "Andy, don't you think if one of us would have been hit by a car that we would be at the hospital. Please! Does it look like any of use got hit by a car tonight? Now if you'll excuse us Andy. A women does need her beauty sleep." "Sure! Sorry to bother you." After Andy departs Prue tells her sisters that that was close. "I'm just glad I can grip and feel things again. Now, I just have to remember that I can't walk through walls any more. It was so strange having things go through you. It just feels like air. It's really hard to describe. I'm just thankful that I didn't have to leave you two yet. There are so many things I still plan to do with my life and I intend to do them." "I'm just glad that your okay Pheebs. I don't know what we'd do without you," says Piper. "Your our pride and joy Pheebs," adds Prue. They all make a group hug. "I have one favor to ask you guys. Will you tell me some more stories about mom... because I was really young and I don't remember that much about her." "Anytime Pheebs," says Prue. "How about right now?" questions Piper. "Now would be perfect!" says Phoebe with a smile.

Before sunrise we find Prue, Piper and Phoebe all huddled together on a hill overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge just as the sun rises. Something they had not done since childhood. The city awakes to another beautiful day and the Halliwells are together again. The power of three, safe for now.
