[1] Rob's Quick & Easy Homemade Chili.
A medium thick, mildly spicy chili, heavy on the meat.  (Secret Ingredient... A-1 Steak Sauce.)

        One 16 oz. can Hunts Manwich Sauce.
        One 16 oz. can Dark Red Kidney Beans.
        One 16 oz. can Light Red Kidney Beans.
        One pound (or a tad less) of Ground Beef (lean if you like).
        3 oz. Marble Cheddar Cheese (shredded is easier).
        One Heaping Tablespoon A-1 Steak Sauce.
        One Pinch each of Garlic & Onion powder.

        Drain the kidney beans, saving the "juice" from the Dark Red ones. Mix the Manwich Sauce, beans, cheese, A-1 Sauce, & powders in large pot. (Add more garlic and/or onion powder for more "bite".) Begin simmering this mixture. Brown the meat thoroughly, draining all grease, and add it to the mixture. Simmer for about half an hour, adding Dark red kidney bean "juice" to reach desired thickness (or thinness). Will improve after one night of refrigeration and re-simmering!

        Quite a few!

        This is a very old recipe from my bachelor days back in the late 1970's / early '80's, thus it uses 16 ounce cans. Manufacturers are continually trying to gouge the consumer so one can't find 16 ounce cans anymore, thus you may have to make slight alterations to the formula presented here. (Who knew manufacturers would be stupid enough to make their containers smaller rather than just raise the price?! And they always eventually raise the price anyway so there's really no excuse for altering the size of products as they have!)
