Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman first aired on television on January 1st 1993. Dr Michaela Quinn (played by Jane Seymour) a prim and proper Bostonian decides to come out West to Colorado Springs after her father dies for a new start. She meets a lone mountain man Byron Sully (played by Joe Lando) who lives with the Cheyanne. He rents his homestead to Dr Quinn that he deserted after his first wife and baby girl died. Michaela inherited three children, Matthew, Colleen and Brian from Charlotte Cooper the midwife she made friends with. Charlotte died of a rattle snack bite and on her death bed she asked Mike to watch the kids for her. Michaela and Sully develop a friendship where he travels all the way to Boston to tell her that he loves her. They courted for about one year and we're married. About 6 months later they had their first child a baby girl named for both their mothers, Katherine Elizabeth Sully.
