Empire Waste Management Recycling Tour
Learning about Resource Conservation with Sadonna Cody, Education Coordinator
November 20, 2004

We got ready for the tour by putting on safety vests and goggles.

Here are thousands of milk cartons ready for recycling, the sorter, and the scale (most of the trucks we saw were 30,000lbs!)

We saw many things that should have gone to the landfill and weren't recyclable, which can cause problems if they aren't found.

The employees working on sorting the recyling, the new recycle bins coming to Petaluma, and checking out recycled milk jugs.

More than 400 cans are in that cube! We also went in a truck and received our own little recycling containers! Thanks, Empire Waste!
