GENERAL SERIES INFO

There are several references to Josette being an ancestor of the family, but this is incorrect. She was married to the uncle of Barnabas Collins (ret-conned to his brother in the 1990s mini-series), but she never had any children and Jeremiah was just an uncle to Daniel (again, ret-conned to being his older brother in the 1990s mini-series, although there is enough room for a uncle and a brother named Jeremiah).

The Legend of the Phoenix claims that it will return once every hundred years, but Laura certainly doesn’t. After appearing prior to 1795 to marry Jeremiah, and prior to 1897 to marry Edward, she returns prior to 1957 to marry Roger and conceive David. Possibly, she derives her power from the Phoenix, but she’s capable of defining her own perimeters.

Several times in the series, especially in the beginning of the series, the windows of the East and West Wings appear boarded up, but all the exterior shots show no sign of this.

Barnabas’s ability to teleport is a bit unusual for vampires, but for being such an extra-ordinary power, he makes very little use of it!

Collinwood is known for having several ghosts, among them Josette, Jeremiah, Quentin, Sara and others, but the estate must have been used as a TV studio at one time because a phantom boom mike recurs quite often! (You can check the other lists for specific times this happens).

Quentin and Chris both have an unusual trait as shrinking when they become werewolves. Although, it can be assumed that the transformation of hair and claws just might be restricting them from standing at full height.

Roger’s stance on the paranormal comes and goes. He participates in the séance for Sara’s ghost and suggests one during Barnabas’s party in the restored Old House, but he’s not nearly as interested when Quentin’s ghost terrorizes Collinwood.

The box to the hand of Count Petofi can be seen as a decoration in Collinwood long before the 1897 storyline starts and long after it. After Petofi discarded it, Liz must have come across it and saved it as a decoration.

The events in the 1795 storyline are persistently recalled as happened in 1796 and 1797, but then, how well does anyone really recall dates.
