(News comes from various places on the net or my own personal sources.)

Due to my being unable to update this page as much as I would like to, I am in need of a co-webmaster to help me with the site. I'm looking for someone with a lot of freetime, a lot of experience in webmastering and webdesign, and hopefully someone who can bring more to this page (i.e. Video Clips, Screencaptures, etc.). If you are interested in this position, E-Mail Me. I want Davin's Charmed Page to be less like a personal webpage and more like a very good website run by more than one person.

Alyssa's New Project
(From CharmedNet.)
After her last project 'Buying the Cow' which has become a victim of bankruptcy and yet no one ahead being interested to buy it, Alyssa is concentrating on a new film project 'Kiss the Bride'. Unfortunately there is still nothing known about the plot or the status of production, so one could conclude that the project is on unsteady feet. The movie is directed by the hardly known Vanessa Paris, but there are some well-known actors along the cast list, e.g. Donna D'Errico ['Baywatch'], Sean Patrick Flanery [who also co-starring Alyssa on 'Diamond Hunters', and who played the young Indiana Jones, Brooke Langton [who plays Samantha in 'Melrose Place'] and Johnathon Schaech, who has been in two films featuring Alyssa ['Poison Ivy 2', 'The Webbers'].

Season Premiere Pushed Back, Of Course!
The two-hour season premiere, set to air on September 27th, will now air on October 4th, because of all the stupid shit that's going on in the world today. This really pisses me off, but I know real life has to come first.

Season Premiere!
The two-hour season premiere is scheduled to air on September 27th!

What's in a Name?...Confusion
Okay, my sources tell me that the new Halliwell, who's name was going to be "Price" is now going to be "Paige" and she will most likely be a half sister, like the daughter of Patty and Sam (her whitelighter). I guess was wrong, it's not Alexandria.

A lot of people might not have liked Shannen Doherty, but she truely kept the show going. I can predict, although I'm not an oracle, that next season, Spelling and the WB will be walking on thin ice. They're killing off a main chatacter, giving the show a much different dynamic than what we're used to. Plus, they're not going with another "P" name, which is another bad idea. I think the show will fall. I also heard that the show has a contract for 3 more seasons, but it's doubtful. I will give Rose McGowan a chance, but I don't know. Next season will definately be its most defining and testing yet. I just hope Alyssa and Holly can keep things going. I'm sure they can, but a lot of fans will not be watching next year. We'll see. Thanks for taking the time to read my ramble, I had to get that out of me.

Say My Name!
According to, "Alexandria" will be the name of Rose McGowan's character next season. They're not going with a "P" name! :(

McGowan is Charmed!
It looks like the long lost Halliwell will be played by Rose McGowan (Scream, Jawbreaker). Thanks to Helen Stringer (MediaDrome) for that information.

The New Girl!
Since, Prue is going to be killed off the show, the producers and all those other tv show people are searching for her replacement. My sources tell me that the new Halliwell's name will be "Price". Okay........nice name. The rumors state that Jennifer Love Hewitt (Party of Five) was going to play the new character, but she declined.

Yep, Bye Bye Shannen!
Okay, in the last news report on Shannen leaving I sounded skeptical, but when it's on the news and Lin Milano (Alyssa's Mother) confirms it, I guess it must actually be true. Bye Bye Shannen! :(

Bye Bye Shannen?
It has Supposedly been confirmed that Shannen Doherty has been fired from Charmed. If this is true, we all know the ratings will go down fast. We must also keep in mind that last year, there was supposed to be a new Piper because Holly Marie Combs was pregnant, but she's still there. It is unknown if they will kill of Prue or find someone else to play her. Personally, I think that getting rid of Shannen will destroy the show. Shannen, Holly Marie, and Alyssa work together so perfectly, I don't think anyone else can fill Shannen's shoes as Prue. Perhaps this is all one big lie, due to a bunch of hype about the Season Finale, but maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see.

Alyssa Milano will celebrate her birthday tomorrow, Dec. 19! Happy Birthday Alyssa!

There will be a new Charmed Novel coming in February, 2001 called "The Gypsy Enchantment." This will make number 7, and I don't think they're going to stop any time soon! :)

Holly Marie Combs celebrates her 27th Birthday on December 3rd! Happy Birthday Holly! :)

The Charmed season premiere netted the third best overnight ratings in the history of the series and beat out the premieres of other WB heavy weights like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel for the week. Charmed even beat all its main competition for the night (Smackdown, Major League Baseball, 48 Hours and the vice presidential debate) in the all important 18-49 demographic for the night.

But that's not all! Charmed helped the WB make history scoring in the top 20 for the first time in key demographics. Among women 12-34 Charmed tied with Buffy the Vampire Slayer for 20th and Dawson's Creek ranked 17th. Among people 12-34 Charmed finished 20th. With female teens, 7th Heaven was first, followed by Roswell (3rd), Dawson's Creek (4th), Charmed (7th), Sabrina (8th), Felictiy (9th), Buffy the Vampire (10th) and Gilmore Girls (11th). Charmed set records for the WB in the following demographics: adults 18-34 (4.1/12), men 18-34 (3.3/9), adults 18-49 (3.7/10), women 18-49 (4.6/12) and men 18-49 (2.8/7). Its household rating of 5.2/8 was not only a Thursday night record, but was the WB's highest-rated show for the week.

The WB ended the week in a tie for 2nd place amongst all competition with females 12-34, just one-tenth of a ratings point and one share point behind CBS, which won the demo. [Oct 13]
