The place that has everything
Shasta lake is a man made resevor that is located near Redding California. It offers a variety of exciting activites to see and do. You have the option of camping, housboating, going to one of the many resorts, taking a tour of the dam or the breath-taking Shasta caverns. It is a peaceful place that my family and I love to escape to every summer. I have been vactioning at Shasta Lake for my entire life. You could say that it has become my home away from home.
I started out camping with just my imediate family. We would camp out on Ski Island for five to seven days. In the morning we would wake up, eat breakfast and then go for ski all day. When we would return, we played in the water and on the beach.
For the past three years I have been going with my extended family including my Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. This has become a tradition that everyone lookes forward to all year. We rent out a houseboat from The Bridge Bay Resort. This year we will be enjoying the beautiful lake during the first week of July. It is and amazing time to forget about everything that is going on and just sit back, relax and soak up a good amount of vitamin D(from the sun). My family, along with my aunt and uncle, own a Ski Nautique boat that we bring up every summer.
Shasta Lake is an amazing get away and I would recommend that everyone should take a trip there at least once.
