The young girl stood outside the mansion waiting for Jean and Scott to come in with her. She stood there watching as they walked up to her. She didn't understand why she was here or anything she only knew that this was the right place for her. She smiled as Jean and scott apporched her. " You're gonna like it here Jessica I promise." Jean said softly "I think you're right. I get the feeling a lot of people are here and they lead good lives... Well most do." she said as she opened the door. " Are you useing your powers to look into the people past? Jean asked telopathicly. "Sorry." she mummbeled as she looked at Jean. "For what?" Scott asked. "For useing my powers to know more about the people here. I can't really help what i find out about them because they have touched that door before and when i touch it i automaticly know about their Past and future." she said softly. " That's amazing. Is there anything else you can do?" Scott asked as they sat down. " I can heal people, but I can't heal myself." she said. "We could use you incase one of us is hurt in fight or something. You could save our lives." he said " I can't use that part of my power." she said as she walked off from them. " Give her time Scott. She's been through a lot." Jean answered his unasked questioned. Jessica wandered around the mansion until she heard people talking. She stood in the doorway and watched a young girl younger than her an older woman and a man very cute playing what looked like pool. She stood there for about five mintues before anyone noticed her. It was the young girl "Hi I'm Jubalee. you must be Jean's friend's daughter." she said as everyone else in the room turned to look at her. " Sorry I didn't mean to intrude. i was just looking around when i heard voices and thoguth I'd check them out. I'm Jessica, but please call me Jess." she said with a smile. "Hiya Jess. Ah'm Rogue it's real nice to meet Ya." she said " And I's be Remy also known as Gambit. Cheri if ya don't mind Remy's asking what type of power do you have?" he asked as he apporched Cora. "Well first my name is Jess not Cheri." she stated as Rouge and Jubalee laughed softly "Secondly... I can see people's past and future just by touching an object that they have touched before me and i also have the power to heal, but i don't use that power anymore." she said quickly as she walked out of the room. "You sure charmed her Remy." Rouged teased softly. " Someting not be right wit t at young girl." he said "What do you mean?" Jubalee asked "He means that because she didn't swoon at his feet that she's not all there." Rouged said "No Remy not mean t at. She seemed upset. someting happened to tat girl before she came here t at's what i tink." he said Jessica decided the best way not to have to talk about what had happened was to not be around people that would ask her questions. She walked outdside and sat in the clearing a little ways a way from the mansion and suddenly the memories of what had happened came rushing back to her. "Jesica do something"" Gina's voice called " I can't." Jessica yelled as she kneeled beside the young girl. "You have to she your bestfriend. You've saved others." Gina shouted at her. "You don't understand somethings wrong I've lost my ability to heal people. she said as the tears streamed down her face. "Jess....Pleas...don't...let....that...l light....i insside....of...you..die...."Kara said as she closed her eyes and died. Jessica shook her head clearin the memory away once again. Never again will she use her power of healing. It was taking away once and then somehow she got it back, but it was to late...Kara had already died. She would never put another persons life in danger ever again. She fell to her knees on the ground and began to cry. Remy was walking out the door to look for the young girl when he heard a soft crying noise come from the front of the yard. He went to see who it was and found the girl he was looking for. He walked up to her and put his arms around her comforting her. She leaned against and cried even harder. "It be okay Jessie. Shhh" he said soothingly. Cora suddenly ceased her crying and pushed him away. "Are you spying on me?" she accused jumping to her feet. "Not I. I just tried to comfort you Cher-- Jess. You were all upset." he said " Look why don't you just leave me alone. I don't need your comfort nor anyone else. i won't have someone else die because of me." she shouted as she ran off leaving a stunned Remy standing in the yard watching her go inside the mansion. It then hit him that someone in her past had died and she blames herself. He figured it had something to do with her not wanting to use her healing power anymore. He just walked inside and decided for now he'd let it go until she was ready to talk about it. When she was he'd be there for her to talk to.
