The X-men had encounter Jessica again, but she wasn't the same. Sisnter had mangaged to convince her that Gambit had betrayed her and left her to die as well as the others. She fought the X-men and had nearly killed them. The one she had hurt the most was Gambit. Jessica thought about this as she walked up the starrs of her new home. The X-men had betrayed her. Gambit knowing she didn't have any powers had left her to die at Sinster's hands. She would never trust him again. She would spend her life getting revenge on them. As she was walking up to her room she felt a persnces behind she turned around expecting Sinster or Sabortooth, but instead it was Gambit. "What are you doing here?" she asked bitterly. "Chere we need to talk." he started "My names not Chere..It's Jessica and we ahve nothing to talk about. You betrayed me. You left me to die and I'll spend my life paying you back for that." she said as she attacked him. " No Ch--Jessie that's not how it happened." he said At the use of the name he use to call her Jessica stopped fighting him and looked at him. "What did you call me?" she asked " I called you Jessie." he said Just when it seemed she remembered something Sabortooth came up and attacked Gambit. He was ready to kill him when Jessica stepped in between them. "No!. Leave him alone." she shouted. "Oh so you're back to your self are you well i'll just take out as well." he said " I"d like to see you try." she said. Sabortooth was taken back by her bravery and he looked at her then shook his head and walked a way." Sinster will handle you and the X-man over there." he said as he left. " Are you alirght?" she asked "So you do remember?" he said "I remember you left me to save Rogue. I told you I didn't have my powers and you left me. Now I want you to leave. My place is here with Sinster." she said "Chere you don belonge here you belonge wit De X-men. Let us help you." he said " No. You all left me to die Sinster svaed me. Go now." she said " Alright Chere I'll leave if you can say you don't love me." he said as he looked into her eyes. " Gambit I don't nor have i ever loved you." she said "Fien den you can have Sinster." he said after a moment then left her. She closed her eyes as the tears fell. It had to be done she couldn't risk him getting hurt because of her. She knew she had to get away from Sinster, but going back to the X-men was not something she could do. She had hurt them to much. She was confused now more then ever. Sinster had saved her life back on the island and yet she had saved Gambit's life at one time. She shook her head. What was wrong with her? Why couldn't she get a clear picture on what really happened? Suddenly a voice from behind her brought her back out of her thoguths. "Did you kill him?" he asked " No Sinster I didn't." she said plainly. "Why not?" he asked " Because Sabortooth here gave him a beating he won't soon forget." she said "Next time he comes here you bring him to me by any means do you understand?" he said " Perefectly." she said "Good." he said as he left. Why did she get this feeling of fear around him and yet no one else. What was happening to her? She had to get out one way or another.
