Galxie's Destiny

The girl ran as fast as she could, but still she knew she could never out run the blasters. She also knew she could not stop and let them kill her without a fight so she ran faster until suddenly she was shoved to the ground by a heavey body of another being. The impact of the fall knocked the breath out of her and she also found herself tumbling down a hill. She also realized that the being that had pushed her down still held her tightly to him. She clung to him to keep herself from slipping away from him. When they stopped tumbleing she was pinned beneath the opther being. She looked up at his face and saw he was human and ver good looking. Her body ached from the fall, but she was to busy wondering where he came from to notice. " Shh don't move and don't make a sound." the man warned from above her as she went to move from beneath him. she quickly stiffened at his tone of voice. No one had ever spoken to her with such urgency and demand. She froze as she also knew that he was trying to save her life. Suddenly she heard the blasters again and then she felt herself being jerk to her feet. "Come on this way." he order pulling her with him as he ran toward a giant space ship. 'Who did he think he was some sort of Jedi talking to her in this tone of voice and dragin her across a war torn land toward a ship she knew nothing about.' she thought to herself as he tugged on her hand even harder to make her run faster. "Obi-Wan hurry!" a man shouted from the ship as they neared it. Suddenly a laser grased the girls leg knocking her to her knees. "Ow!" she shouted, but then jumped to her feet once again." Let's go." she said " It's not far." Obi Wan said as they reached the ship he pushed her aboard and followed shortly behind her. "Let's go." the other man shouted to the polite. "Wait I can not go with you." the young girl said as she stood painfully on her hurt leg. "You can and you will." Obi-Wan said to her forcing her to sit back down. "No I can't." she stated stubbornly. "Yes you can now sit down before you hurt yourself even more." the other man said " Just who do you think you are ordering me about like I was some common slave? This is kiddnaping and it's worng." she stated to them. "I'm sorry to have frighten you Princess Galxie, but your father sent us to bring you back home. I am Qui-Gon-Jinn and this is Obi-Wan-Kenobi we are ambassadors from your home land snet here to help you and protect you." Qui-gon said as he looked her leg. "Qui-Gon-Jinn? That name sounds familor to me. Have we met before?" she asked curiously "I knew your parents very well. The last time i saw you you were, but a small child and now you are a beautiful young woman. Obi-Wan saw you were in trouble and saved you." he said "You saved me without thinking of the dangers to yourself. you are either a very unselfish man or a jedi knight." she stated looking at them." Qui-Gon you knew my father then you must be the one that trained him in the Jedi. You are a Jedi knight master are you not?" she questioned " Yes I am." he said "Then Obi-Wan is your Apprentice is he not?" she questioned again. "Yes he is." he stated "My father was, is a great Jedi because of you. You brought out the goodness that was within him. For that I am truly thankful." she said softly "You are very welcome, but all i did was teach your father to look within himself and listen to the force." he said "When I was small I use to say that I was gonna be the first Jedi knight that was girl and I was gonna accomplish my quest to get peace with conversation. Violence wasn't something I looked forward to. It still isn't. I believe we can get peace without fighting. It's kind of a like trying to save a million people, but killing them instead. You know what I mean?" she said as he put a bandage around her leg. "Yes. You want peace, but you don't want to have to fight for it." he said "Exactly." she comfirmed "But sometimes fighting is the only way. Sometimes you have to fight to save the lives of the people who want peace." Obi-Wan said "But what good is peace when there is no one here to enjoy it? What good is a land that is littered with the bones and blood of innocent women and child as well as men who fought for peace, but died in vain?" she said passionatly. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had watched and listened to the girl as she spoke so passionatly about none violence. Qui-Gon smiled because she sounded so much like her mother. He remembered a time where her mother would argue with him and her father about not fighting. He was brought back to the persent when she placed her hand on his shoulder. "Did you hear me?" she questioned looking into his eyes. "Yes and you're right. Peace is no good if there is no one to enjoy and land is no good when innocent people's blood is all over it. Tell how do you get peace when no one will listen to you. When all you have left is fighting?" he said "I don't know, but there has to be another way. A better way and I'll be the one to find it. It's out there I know it." she vowed softly "I'm sure you will young Galxie." Qui-Gon said as he went back to the cockpit. Leaving Obi-Wan with the girl. "You know you speak so passionatly about none violence and yet I saw you before you ran. You fought out there liek a pro until you were out numbered then you ran." he stated. " I didn't have a choice." she said "Sometimes you don't have a choice. Sometimes you do have to fight just like today." he said as she leaned back on the cushions and closed her eyes. "Maybe you're right. Maybe at times there isn't another way, but I know that somewhere out there there's a way to get peace without having to kill people or let people die and I'll find it." she vowed softly as she fell into a deep sleep. Obi-Wan sighed deeply and shook his head as he watched the young Princess sleep.
