Destiny'S Choice Part Four: Moving On
Cora looked at Karone and then she smiled and looked around.
"I'm sorry, but no one told me who you were." she said
"Oh,I'm Karone. You know me better as Astronema." she said softly
Cora stood up and walked toward her then stopped Leo and Adros stood up at the sametime, but was held back by Mike and Zhane.
"Look you have to know that what I did to you... I didn't mean to. I didn't even know what I was doing." Karone said softly
Cora was silent for a moment then she softly spoke.
"You know the whole time I was there in the future fighting for my life all I could think about was coming home and finding a way to make Astronema pay for what she did to me and getting back to Zhane, but now that I'm here and I'm looking at you I don't feel that need anymore. Look from what I've told by Leo you didn't know what you were doing so you have no reason to feel guilty... Just promise you'll take care of Zhane. He's a great guy and if he gets hurt because you then I'll a reason for hurting you." she said
Zhane walked over to Karon as she smiled" I'll take good care of him." she said
They all sat around and talked for a while then everyone decided to turn in for the night, but somewhere during the night Cora woke up and went to the main livingroom of the terra venture and sat on a couch staring off into space. She finally had closer after all this time. She had spent ten months in the future and yet she was still in her past. She had to let go of her urt and pain and move on. Maybe Leo was really her destiny? Maybe Karone was really changed and just maybe she could be okay again? She wished that she could go back and change everything that had happened to her, but then she wouldn't have had the chance to find Leo again. Did she love him or did she love who he use to be? she was lost in her thoughts when a soft touch of someones hand on her shoulder caused her to jump back to reality.
"Mike!" she said breathlessly as her hadn went to her heart.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." he said sounding half a sleep.
"Oh you didn't scare me." she lied as she smiled
"Yeah so you just jump like that everytime someone touches you." he teased as they both sat down on the couch
"I couldn't sleep what's your excuse?" she asked
"I couldn't go back to sleep. What's wronge?" he asked
"Just a lot of stuff on my mind." she said as she turned her gaze toward the window.
"You wanna talk about it?"he asked
"Yeah."she said
He didn't say anything he waited for her to go on.
"I'm letting go of my past and moving on with my future. Before I came back Kayla told me that I would find my sole mate here in this time and when I did I would know because my pendent which also holds my powers would glow and I would feel this incredible warmth go through my body and i did, but I'm afraid of getting involved again." she said softly
"With who? Zhane?" mike asked
"No... Leo." she said
"Oh. You know if I know my little brother and I do know him... He still loves you more than anything in this world. You two have been given a second chance to be together. Don't let the past keep you from your future." he said softly
"I'm scared Mike."Leo heard her say as he walked into the room
"I know you are, but just give it time. You know you're going to have to tell him sooner or later."He heard Mike say
"I know, but I don't know what to say. How do I tell him how I feel?"she said
"Just tell him. It's better that you tell instead of me." He said as he kissed the top of her head." I'm going to go back to sleep now you going to try to get some sleep?" he asked as Leo walked out the door.
"Yeah in a minute." she said as he left.
Leo didn't know what ahd just happened, but he hoped his brother wasn't trying to take the only woman he loved away form him. No Mike wouldn't do that. He thought as he walked back to his room.
