Chapter seven: Graduation Day
"Hey guys they're about to annouce prom queen and king." Gestina said as she came up to Jacob and Christina
"Okay everyone and the moment you've all been waiting for..... this years prom queen and king are.....Christina Thomas and Jacob Underwood!" the annoucer said as they both came forward.
They danced to a slow song and gazed lovingly into each others eyes. This was the moment the both of them knew they were gonna be otgether for a long time.
Months later the school was getting ready for graduation and so was Gina as she was plotting her next revenge plot on Christina. She was more determind than ever to get Jacob back at no matter the coast. She walked down the hallway and saw Jacob with Christina. He was leaing against Christina's locker and smiling at her as he talked to her. He must have said something that was funny because suddenly Christina laughed and put her hand on his chest.
"Just wait Christina your time is coming. Enjoy him now he will be mine." Gina said softly to herself as she went to her locker
"Okay Jake you win I'll go to you'r house after school. Oh and Jacob... about the house that we've been hanging out at before I moved...." she paused as he turned around.
"I know it was Heather's she told me." he said as he took his hand in hers and walked her to class.
"Hey Chris what's what's up?" Marie asked as she came in.
"Hey Maria everything's going great." Christina said as she sat down.
"Hey Jacob how's it going?" she asked as he sat down next to Christina
"It's going great now that I have the woman that I love." he said with a smile
"You'd better get to class before you're late." Christina said as she kissed him softly.
"I'll leave and carry the memory of your kiss with me all day until I see you again." he said as she and Marie laughed he walked out of the room as Lance came in.
"Hey Lance what's up?" Christina asked softly
"Nothing much you?" he asked
"Nothing. I"m finally happy. For the first time in my life I have this beauiful, pure, and wonderful love in my life." she said beaming
"Well, I'm just glad that you two are back together." he said softly
"Speaking of together so you two how are you doing?" she asked
"We're doing good." he said as he touched Marie's hand softly.
"Aww isn't that so cute." she said as she sat down again.
Lance kissed Marie softly on the cheek and they said bye as he left to go to his own class. As the day went by Christina's thoughts were on Jacob. He was her first love and only love. She decided to go by his house after she left Gestina's. It would be a nice surprise. She thought as she walked up to Gestina's house.
"Hey Chris what's up?" she asked
"Is now a bad time?" she asked
"Huh? Oh no it's great." she said
"Ah. I see." she said as they walked in
They talked a little while, but then Christina saw AShley come down the stairs and burst into laughter as she got the hint that she was intruding.
"What?" Ashley asked confused
"Guys I'm sorry, but I have to go see Jacob... so I'll see you guys at school tomorrow." she said as she and Gestina left
"It's not what you think, but thatnks for leaving us alone I really need to tlak to him." Gestina said
"Anytime girl. See ya." she said as she hugged her tightly and left
She drove up to Jacobs. As soon as she pulled into the driveway she saw another car there. She got out and walked up to the door. She knocked once then twice. Suddenly the door flew open.
"Hey Chris what's up?" Jacob asked as he stepped outside and closed the door." What are you doing here?" he asked
"Well, I came here to see you. Who's here?" she asked softly
"Gina." he said
"Oh." she said softly
"Don't think that. Her car broke down and she needed my phone since she was right in the nieghborhood." he said
"I believe you Jacob and i wasn't thinking anything." she said.
"We gradutate tomorrow." he said
"Yeah we do." she said as she leaned into his body and gave him a hug.
He returned the hug. She seemed so small now. he thought as he held her. Something wasn't right he thought as he pulled back from her." What's wrong?" he asked softly as they walked out ot his front yard and sat on the bench swing.
Jacob....I have somehting to tell you that I think might change us, but i have to tell you now if not then i may never tell you." she said
"Alright. I"m listening." he said
"Jacob my fmaily is as poor as they come and the only reason we're living up town now is because my step dad just got a rais and his boss let him have the house. I used Heather's house as you already knew to hange out with you there. The clothes i have are either Heather's or I've worked hard to get the money for them. I don't have anything to offer you except my love. My heart that's all." she said softly.
He looked into her eyes and softly brushed away a tear that slid down her cheek." That's all I ask for. Christina I don't want anything from you, but for you to trust me and love me for the man that I am. In all honesty I don't own anything in that house, but my CD's and radio and clothes. That's all. The house is my parents and the car was brought by them for me. Until you came into my life I didn't know what true happiness was. Now that I have you in my life I never want to be away from you. I love with everything I am and everything i ever will be." he said as he softly kissed her lips.
Suddenly they heard a scream and jerked apart just in time to see Gina rush toward Christina and attacked her. Phil came up just as the girls started to fight he and Jacob pulled the two apart. Christina swung at Gina and slugged her right in the mouth.
"Get her out of here." Jacob said as Phil carried a kicking and screaming Gina toward his car.
"What the Hell where you doing I was finally going to get Jacob!"Gina yelled as they drove down the road.
"Give it up Gina. He doesn't want he wants Christina and frankly Gina i don't want you either. You need to learn what love really means. You're just a child that needs to grow up." he said as they pulled up to her house and she got out of the car." Give me a call when you grow up." he said as he speed out of her driveway
He was right. Jacob didn't want her he wanted Christina and no matter what she did he would always stay with Christina
The next was graduation. Christina,Gestina,Heather,Ashley,Marie,Ashley,Jacob,Justin,Lacne,Joey,Chris,Nick,Jessica,Jeff,Drew,andJustin all graduated with honors and had scholarships to diferent colleges. Christina was upset that her and Jacob would be going to diferent collges, but she knew they'd see each other whenever they could. They could face anything together as long as they trusted each other.
